Master Liang

Leon Yuan spoke, his face full of expectation as he looked at Evan Lin.

After he finished speaking, the woman beside him's expression changed slightly, but she didn't say anything at this moment—she just glanced at Evan Lin.

"It's really close, just on the rooftop of the hotel. And it's a buffet, so when your friends arrive, you can leave anytime you want."

Seeing Evan Lin didn't seem to agree right away, Leon quickly added, "Besides, just sitting here is pretty boring."

"Going up for some food and checking out the view is nice too."

Leon Yuan kept inviting him.

Only then did Evan Lin nod, stand up, and head toward the elevator.

Watching Evan Lin's figure walking ahead, the woman beside Leon Yuan spoke quietly.

"Isn't this a bit inappropriate?"

She hesitated: "This person is obviously here to see his favorite star. Since he's waiting in the lobby, either that star hasn't arrived yet or is deliberately avoiding him."

"If we bring him upstairs, won't that cause misunderstandings? And your situation..."

At this, a trace of worry flickered in the woman's eyes.

"My situation can't get much worse anyway. As for the second possibility, it's possible—but didn't you notice something?"

Leon Yuan looked at Evan Lin's back, his eyes unable to hide his admiration.

"Notice what?" the woman asked, confused.

"This kid is obviously a hidden expert. He dropped all those security guards in an instant without even seeming to move. That kind of skill isn't something ordinary people have."

"With skills like his, if he really wanted to go to the rooftop, do you think anyone could stop him?"

"The reason he didn't force his way up isn't because he's afraid. If he were scared, he wouldn't even be here."

Hearing Leon's explanation, the woman nodded and didn't say anything else.

When they reached the elevator, Leon helped press the button.

The elevator doors opened, and the three entered, waiting as it ascended.

"Once we get there, if you need any help, just let me know."

"There's plenty of food inside. If you want to meet anyone in particular, just tell me. If I know them, I can introduce you."

Leon Yuan looked at Evan Lin, appearing very approachable.

"Alright." Evan Lin nodded.

The elevator stopped midway.

When the elevator doors opened, two people were standing at the entrance.

A man and a woman.

As soon as the two entered, Evan Lin instantly noticed Leon Yuan's expression change.

"Leon Yuan, what a coincidence. Didn't expect to run into you here."

The woman looked at Leon Yuan and spoke first, smiling brightly.

"That's right, I didn't expect you'd even have the nerve to show up here, Leon."

The man beside her spoke with a fake smile as he entered the elevator: "This Hong Kong Film Festival only has top stars attending."

"Leon, with your current popularity, do you really think you belong here?"

The man's words were blunt, and his gaze at Leon was full of provocation.

"Kevin Zhou, what do you mean by that!"

The woman beside Leon immediately turned cold: "If it weren't for Leon helping you back then, do you think you could've entered the industry?"

"And you!"

After speaking, she looked at the other woman: "Lily Tan, you used Leon's resources to jump ship, and before leaving, you saddled him with a useless six-month string of appearances! If not for you, Leon wouldn't be in this situation now."

"Hey, Mia Miao, that's not fair. I was Leon's agent back then, and it was my job to accept appearances for him."

Lily Tan scoffed: "As for that event, it flopped in the end—how was I supposed to know? You can't blame me for that."

"If Leon isn't popular anymore, that's his own fault. Can't blame me for that either."

Lily Tan said with a smile.

"Enough, Mia. Let it go."

Leon stopped Mia Miao, shaking his head at her.

Too much arguing was pointless—a pure waste of time.

"By the way, Leon, I heard you're trying to become an action star?"

Lily Tan looked at Leon: "You want to compete for the lead in Director Gavin Yu's film 'China Kung Fu King,' right?"

"But sorry, I'm already competing for that role on Kevin Zhou's behalf. If nothing unexpected happens, we'll finalize it today."

Hearing Lily's words, Leon's restrained expression suddenly turned pale.

He glanced at Mia Miao beside him and saw she looked equally stunned, staring wide-eyed at Lily Tan.

"Surprised I know you're going after that role?"

Lily Tan smiled: "You guys only said Leon was trying to switch tracks, but never mentioned his exact goal. But there's no such thing as a secret that doesn't leak."

"I'm pretty close with the producer of 'China Kung Fu King.' You didn't know? We were alumni at the same school."

"And you still haven't found a suitable action coach. Even if it's about casting, you're not qualified to compete with Kevin Zhou."

"After all, I found a famous action master for Kevin—Master Liang Chengbo!"

At this point, Lily couldn't help but look even more pleased with herself.

Liang Chengbo.

The moment that name was mentioned, Leon and Mia's faces grew even more defeated.

"Who's Master Liang Chengbo?"

The elevator continued to rise.

Leon and Mia remained silent, while Lily Tan and Kevin Zhou grinned smugly.

Suddenly, the quiet young man spoke up.

His cool, clear voice was a bit abrupt.

"You don't even know Master Liang Chengbo?"

Before Leon and Mia could explain to Evan Lin, Lily Tan turned her gaze to Evan, sizing him up: "Master Liang Chengbo isn't just a famous action choreographer—he's also a powerful martial artist."

"Seriously, not joking—Master Liang Chengbo could crush a kid like you with one finger."

Lily Tan smiled, her eyes full of contempt.

"Leon, this agent Mia Miao doesn't seem very competent—who did she find for you?"

"Don't tell me this kid is the action coach she struggled so hard to find!"

Kevin Zhou suddenly chimed in, and after speaking, he couldn't help but laugh.

"This kid doesn't even know Master Liang Chengbo—good thing you thought of this, you're really just grabbing at straws!"
