"They went that hard?"
Leon Yuan frowned. "Didn't I already warn them not to use so much force?"
"Just kicking out an irrational fan—was it really necessary to make such a scene?"
As Leon spoke, he turned and started walking toward the lobby.
He wasn't sure he could actually help the youth, but Leon felt he should at least try to stop things.
Otherwise, if the kid really got seriously hurt, it wouldn't be good for anyone.
"Be careful—don't let yourself get caught up in the mess."
Seeing Leon about to go over, his companion warned him. But as her gaze followed his turn, she suddenly noticed Leon was frozen in place.
"What's wrong?"
The woman saw Leon stop moving abruptly and was startled.
She shifted position, stepped aside, and looked toward the lobby. The next second, her expression changed drastically. "They...they're all down?"
"What just happened?"
In her eyes, the group of bodyguards who had been standing there were now all sprawled out on the floor, not a single one able to get up.
Meanwhile, the youth who had been sitting on the sofa—looking bored, as if too stunned to even run—was still quietly seated, showing no sign of getting up.
The scene was so unbelievable that both the woman and Leon were left dumbfounded.
"So, do you want me to clean up these people for you, or will you find someone to carry them away?"
Evan Lin sat there, looking at the lobby manager, his tone flat.
"You...you did this right here—aren't you worried about getting yourself in trouble?"
The lobby manager's forehead was drenched, sweat dripping down his face.
In those few seconds, all he saw was the youth stand up, then sit back down.
In just a few blinks, all the security guards were down.
He hadn't even seen how the youth moved—his actions were so fast, they were almost impossible to believe.
"I don't mind solving trouble—and I really don't mind solving the people who cause trouble."
Evan Lin looked at him.
That line made the lobby manager's face shift through several expressions.
He was nervous now, not even daring to talk tough.
Who knows—if this kid really made a move, could he even handle it?
It just didn't make sense.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
A lot of people nearby noticed what was happening and started looking over.
With all eyes on him, the lobby manager stood there, instantly regretting rushing over with his people.
If he'd known this kid was so tough, he would have just let it slide.
Now he was stuck—caught between a tiger and a hard place, making a fool of himself.
"I think we should just let this go."
Leon Yuan walked over and stood in front of the lobby manager. "I think there might be some misunderstanding here. Why not let them leave for now?"
"Besides, this guy...this young brother's skills are insane. If he really had bad intentions, none of you could stop him anyway."
The moment Leon stepped up and spoke,
the lobby manager immediately seized the opportunity, nodding repeatedly. "I think so too, I think so too—there must have been some kind of misunderstanding."
"Uh, what happened just now was my fault—sorry, really sorry."
The lobby manager looked at Evan Lin, his gaze uneasy.
Seeing Evan Lin had no intention of speaking, he quickly called people over to help carry the fallen guards out one by one.
Luckily, there weren't any reporters around.
Otherwise, with so many people lying here, the hotel would be tomorrow's headline.
The crowd quickly dispersed.
The lobby grew quiet again.
"Hello, mind if we get acquainted?"
After some hesitation, Leon Yuan walked up to Evan Lin, smiled, and extended his hand. "I'm Leon Yuan."
He introduced himself, watching Evan Lin.
The woman beside him sized up the youth, unable to hide her curiosity.
"Evan 'Nine Mysteries' Lin."
Evan Lin reached out and shook his hand.
"Evan 'Nine Mysteries' Lin—now that's a badass name."
Leon Yuan mulled it over, then grinned, unable to hide his excitement. "Mind if I ask—have you ever learned kung fu?"
"Kung fu?"
Evan Lin shook his head. "Not exactly, but you could say I'm pretty damn skilled."
Skilled.
Hearing the youth say that so bluntly, Leon didn't doubt him for a second.
After what just happened—facing so many people and walking away unscathed—
there was no way this kid was just average.
"Here's the thing: I'm an actor, and I'm planning to switch to action films. But I'm missing a real action coach."
"I've approached a bunch of people before, but either I wasn't interested in them, or they weren't interested in me. So, if you have time, would you mind giving me some pointers?"
Leon looked at Evan Lin as he said this.
Showing respect to real talent.
Leon Yuan might be washed up, but he's still a celebrity.
Yet the humility he showed toward Evan Lin wasn't fake.
"Sorry, I'm pretty busy."
Evan Lin shook his head.
A clean, straightforward rejection.
Leon was taken aback. "Oh, right, I forgot to mention—I can offer you a reward you'd be satisfied with."
Leon thought it was about money.
"I don't need money."
Evan Lin shook his head.
Still as blunt as ever.
Now Leon felt awkward, and the woman beside him was a bit annoyed.
"Leon Yuan is being serious about this—he's not joking."
The woman looked at Evan Lin. "Besides, you should know who Leon Yuan is, right?"
She said this, subtly highlighting Leon's celebrity status.
"First, I'm not joking either. I'm busy, and I'm not interested in wasting time on irrelevant people."
Evan Lin glanced at her, expression indifferent. "Second, I don't need money."
"Third, I have no idea who Leon Yuan is. Never heard of him before—this is the first time I've heard that name."
Hearing Evan's answer,
the woman's brows furrowed; she took a step forward, about to keep arguing.
"Hey, don't."
Leon quickly stopped her, then looked at Evan Lin. "Sorry, my friend's straightforward—she tends to speak a bit bluntly. Don't take it personally."
"I'm just a small-time actor. If you don't know me, that's totally normal."
Leon looked at Evan Lin, full of apology.
"Yeah."
Evan Lin nodded.
"So, are you here waiting for someone?" Leon asked cautiously.
"A friend."
"If your friend hasn't arrived yet, why not grab something to eat with us while you wait?"
