Kevin Zhou looked at Evan with undisguised contempt.
He sized Evan up from head to toe.
When they first entered the elevator, Kevin and Lily Tan had already noticed the boy standing there.
But at the time, they weren't sure who he was, so they couldn't be bothered to pay attention.
Now, hearing the boy speak and seeing Leon Yuan and Mia Miao apparently know him, Kevin finally started mocking.
"Don't talk nonsense. This young man's skills are actually pretty impressive."
Hearing Kevin say that, Leon Yuan frowned. "Besides, Master Liang has a high status in the circle, but for ordinary people, it's normal not to have heard his name."
"It's not like he's money—no need for everyone to know who he is."
Seeing Leon talk like that, Kevin didn't get angry. He just smiled and said, "Him?"
"His skills are impressive?"
Kevin Zhou acted like he'd just heard the funniest joke ever. He pointed at Evan's face and turned to Leon Yuan and Mia Miao.
"Why don't you take a good look at this kid's build?"
"He barely has any muscle. No matter how you look at him, he doesn't seem like someone with real skills."
"Leon, you're just too much of a nice guy. It's made you stupid. Or do you think I'm easy to fool? You can just pull out some random person and tell me he's an expert, and I'll believe it?"
Kevin burst out laughing.
Lily Tan followed, sneering along with him.
Mia Miao's expression turned ugly, and just as Leon Yuan was about to speak—
Evan stepped forward and kicked out with lightning speed.
The kick was crisp and clean—out and back in an instant.
It happened in a flash.
Kevin's laughter cut off instantly, as if someone had grabbed his throat. He doubled over, clutching his stomach, and rolled on the floor in agony.
Leon Yuan was stunned; Lily Tan's eyes flashed with satisfaction.
"Kevin, what's wrong with you!"
Lily Tan's expression froze mid-laugh. Her eyes widened as she hurriedly squatted down to try and help Kevin up.
But Kevin just kept rolling on the floor, clutching his stomach, clearly in extreme pain—and yet he couldn't even manage a single scream.
Lily tried several times, but couldn't succeed.
"What did you do to him!"
Lily stared in terror at the boy standing there, perfectly calm, as if nothing had happened. She was completely bewildered and shocked.
She hadn't seen what happened at all.
And judging by the boy's demeanor, it didn't even look like he'd moved.
"Just a little punishment."
Evan glanced at Kevin, still writhing in pain on the floor. "Next time you leave the house, remember to brush your teeth."
His attitude was icy.
His tone was flat.
Evan's words made Lily Tan tremble with rage.
"Impressive, huh."
Mia Miao's eyes sparkled as she smiled at Lily Tan. "Didn't you just say Kevin was getting action scene coaching from Master Liang?"
"What, did Master Liang not teach him any real kung fu?"
"He went down in the blink of an eye, and he's in so much pain he can't even scream. That's pretty embarrassing for Master Liang, isn't it?"
Mia continued seriously, "Maybe you should hurry and let him learn some real kung fu from Master Liang."
"Mia!"
Hearing Mia talk like that, Lily Tan—who had just been feeling triumphant—looked more and more upset.
She grabbed Kevin off the floor and glared fiercely at Mia Miao and Evan. "I'm telling you, when we see Master Liang later, I'll make sure he gets justice for Kevin!"
"And all those things you just said—I'll repeat them to Master Liang. We'll see what you use to star in an action movie then, Leon!"
After speaking, Lily Tan fixed her gaze on Evan. "You're young, but this time you've really caused trouble—big trouble!"
"Just wait! Acting like nothing matters? Fine, you're great!"
"Soon you'll know Master Liang—and you'll never forget his name!"
Lily Tan was nearly hysterical by now.
She was shocked, terrified, and above all, furious.
Originally, she'd always had the upper hand with Leon Yuan and Mia Miao. This time, she planned for Kevin to block Leon's path to his new film, truly shutting down his career.
