Journey to the Divine Dragon Valley

"He wanted you to help him break through the void, and yes, during the Seven-Star Convergence, space is at its thinnest. But breaking through the void also means being struck by powerful lightning. You should know that lightning is the greatest weakness for soul bodies. Only if you bear the lightning for him can he ascend to the Immortal Realm quickly. That's why he needed your help."

Originally, he thought he could do it on Seven-Star Convergence Day. But at the Godfall Battleground, he saw your strength had already reached a terrifying level—if he seized your body, he wouldn’t need to fear the lightning at all. That’s why he tried to dodge and snatch your body, but ended up being killed by you instead." Luna said helplessly.

Evan Chu frowned slightly and said, "Then you could just enter the Chronos Band, right? Isn’t the Ice-Snow Fairy inside? You could go in too, and come out after the Seven-Star Convergence Day passes."

"My soul is directly bound to yours—I can’t enter the Chronos Band. If I could, I would have done it already. Right now, the only way to avoid this is to restore my physical body. But I really don’t want to do that yet. Once my body is restored, I’ll have to leave you, and that’s the last thing I want to see."

Evan understood Luna’s meaning—she didn’t want to leave him. She’d rather stay as a sword spirit than restore her body. He knew exactly how deep her feelings ran; being loved by her was a blessing beyond measure.

But if he didn’t help her restore her body, then on Seven-Star Convergence Day, she might be wiped out—body and soul. That was even less acceptable to Evan. He knew he and Luna would have to part ways someday; it was just a matter of time. He just hadn’t expected that day to come so suddenly, catching him completely off guard, with no chance to prepare.

"I won’t let you get hurt. Tell me how to restore your body. Even if you ascend to the Immortal Realm one day, I’ll make you my woman—no one can stop me, not even your father." Evan said firmly, his eyes burning with determination and longing for power.

"You can’t restore my body yet. Only when your bloodline is fully awakened will you be able to do it. But when that happens, you’ll have to ascend too, because the laws of heaven and earth won’t let someone as strong as you remain in this world. To fully awaken your bloodline, you must go to the Dragon Shrine and receive the Divine Dragon Clan’s blessing. Only by undergoing the blood baptism in the blood pool will you truly awaken and become a real Primordial Dragon."

"It won’t be easy, but I believe you can do it. There’s really not much time left—you should set out as soon as possible. I didn’t want to worry you, but I’m afraid if something really does happen to me, the blow might destroy you, and that’s the last thing I want." Luna’s voice trembled with emotion.

It was the first time Evan had ever heard Luna’s voice change like that. His heart ached. He silently swore that no matter the cost—even if it meant his life—he would protect her. That was his responsibility, and the truest expression of his love.

Without delay, Evan stepped out of his room and gathered everyone in the main hall to explain that he was heading to the Dragon Shrine. All the women wanted to go with him, but he refused. He only brought Goldwing and Shadow along—even leaving Violet Thunder Fox behind—and hurriedly left Frostbane Sect with Roxanne Lin.

Evan left in such a rush that the women knew something serious must be going on. He had too many secrets, so they didn’t ask much—just hoped he’d come back soon.

On the way, Evan used spatial teleportation with Roxanne Lin. After an hour, they arrived at the Vermilion Bird Clan’s Teleportation Gate. Roxanne activated the clan’s exclusive method, and the two of them entered the Vermilion Bird Temple. When Evan and Roxanne appeared, the Phoenix Temple Master and the clan elders came out to greet them.

"Greetings, Clan Chief!" Evan said. "Greetings, Saintess!" The important figures of the Vermilion Bird Clan addressed Roxanne Lin.

They entered the Vermilion Bird Temple, where the Phoenix Temple Master sat at the head and smiled, "Sect Master of Frostbane Sect, you must have brought a surprise for our Vermilion Bird Clan. How did things go in the Netherworld? Tell us about your trip."

"The Netherworld trip went pretty well. I brought back plenty of Netherghost Violet Orchids and have already given them to Roxanne. If the Clan Chief needs any, just ask her. Netherghost Violet Orchids are getting rare in the Netherworld now, so breaking through to the Saint Martial Realm is even harder." Evan said.

"There are way more experts in the Netherworld than in the Azure Tide Ruins. Some are already at the Venerable Martial Realm. You two making it back safely is truly worth celebrating. I’ve already ordered a banquet to welcome you." the Phoenix Temple Master said.

Evan was momentarily puzzled—how did the Phoenix Temple Master know they were coming? He glanced at Roxanne. "Don’t bother looking," the Temple Master laughed, "The moment you entered Vermilion Bird territory, I sensed you. Roxanne is our Saintess, and she carries a unique aura. Of course our clan has ways to detect that."

During the banquet, Evan drank with the elders and guardians of the Vermilion Bird Clan. He remembered that when he first came here, he’d injured a Guardian, but now everyone treated him with great respect. It gave him a strange feeling—wherever you go, as long as you’re strong, you’ll be respected.

After the banquet, Roxanne returned to her room. Evan went with the Phoenix Temple Master to a secret chamber—he needed to know the route to Divine Dragon Valley. The Dragon Clan’s sacred land is the most hidden place, and only the Vermilion Bird Clan knows exactly where it is.

"Where exactly is Divine Dragon Valley? Please tell me, Temple Master—I have urgent business and need to enter it." Evan said directly after stepping into the secret chamber.

"Divine Dragon Valley? Why do you want to go there? The Dragon Clan is the strongest force on the entire Dragonreach Continent, but they rarely interfere in human affairs. Back during the Godfall Battleground, the dragons only sent a few average members to fight—the real powerhouses all stayed inside the Dragon Shrine to cultivate."

It’s said that once you reach a certain realm, you can break the void and travel to other worlds—where there are also Dragon Clans, and they reign supreme. If you find their territory, you’ll be protected and gain access to advanced techniques and energy crystals, letting your strength skyrocket.

Our Vermilion Bird Clan has a similar place, but breaking through the void is no easy task. Without the strength of a true powerhouse, it’s impossible. So we’ve long given up on such dreams—just living safely here is already a blessing.

But the Dragon Clan is different. Divine Dragon Valley has a special energy crystal said to be even more powerful than star crystals. Absorbing those crystals makes your strength soar. If you’re set on going to Divine Dragon Valley, you must be careful—their experts are everywhere." the Phoenix Temple Master warned.
