Evan Chu was getting a bit frustrated. The old man had talked for ages without getting to the point; Evan kept asking him where the Divine Dragon Valley Gate was, but instead, he just kept describing what was inside Divine Dragon Valley. Sure, that was useful, but what Evan wanted most right now was how to actually get in.
"Just tell me directly where the Divine Dragon Valley Gate is. As for what’s inside, I’ll be careful. I know the Dragon Clan is powerful, but I’m one of them too. Even if I’m half human, I doubt they’ll do anything to me." Evan Chu said impatiently.
"I was just about to tell you about the entrance, but you interrupted me. You really are impatient! To enter Divine Dragon Valley, you have to wait for a full-moon night, because only then does the Divine Dragon Valley Gate appear. But even when it shows up, you can’t just walk in—you need to infuse it with dragonforce. So outsiders basically have no chance of entering. But since you have Dragon Clan blood, you should be able to do it." said the Phoenix Temple Master.
"There are still three days until the full moon, so that’s enough time. In these three days, you can tell me more about the Dragon Clan. I might have dragon blood, but I’ve barely inherited anything from the clan. That’s honestly the most frustrating part." Evan Chu said.
"The location of Divine Dragon Valley is extremely secret. Other than the Dragon Clan, fewer than three outsiders in the whole world know it. When the time comes, I’ll personally take you there!" said the Phoenix Temple Master.
Evan didn’t say anything more. Since the Phoenix Temple Master was willing to help, that was obviously the best outcome. After chatting about a few other things, the two of them left the secret chamber.
When Evan returned to Roxanne Lin’s room, she had already gone to bed but wasn’t asleep. Seeing Evan come in, she asked, “Lin Feng, what did you talk about with the Temple Master? It took you so long.”
"It was about Divine Dragon Valley. This trip is extremely important, otherwise I wouldn’t be in such a rush. You should stay here in the Phoenix Temple and wait for me to come back. According to the Phoenix Temple Master, Divine Dragon Valley is even more dangerous than the Netherworld. With your current cultivation, you absolutely can’t go there—and if you did, you’d only distract me." Evan said seriously, sitting down by the bed.
"Are you going to save your mother? As your wife, I should share this responsibility. Lin Feng, let me go with you—I promise I won’t be a burden." Roxanne Lin pleaded.
"Saving my mother is one thing, but I also have to save Luna. If I can’t restore her body before Seven-Star Convergence Day, she might fall into eternal sleep or be wiped out completely. This is way too important to be careless, so I can’t agree to your request." Evan refused her outright. He knew Roxanne would be upset, but for her safety, he had no choice.
The Dragon Clan is the most mysterious race of all. Even though Evan himself was a dragon, and maybe even carried the noblest Primordial Dragon bloodline, he still knew nothing about the clan. He couldn’t afford to take this risk.
Seeing Evan so determined, Roxanne Lin knew she couldn’t go. "When are you leaving? If Divine Dragon Valley is that dangerous, you have to be careful. I’ll wait for you here."
"Yeah, get some sleep! Or does your husband need to pamper you a little first?" Evan didn’t want to keep talking about this—if he softened up and agreed to let her come, that would be bad. So he hurriedly changed the subject.
"You’re such a bully!" Roxanne Lin’s face instantly turned as red as a ripe apple, and she whispered softly.
"So do you want it or not?" Evan pressed. Seeing Roxanne’s expression, he felt quite satisfied.
Roxanne Lin didn’t know how to answer and just nodded slightly. Evan quickly took off his clothes and climbed into bed. What followed, naturally, was some very adult exercise…
Evan spent three days in the Vermilion Bird Temple, but felt restless and on edge the whole time. Even with Roxanne Lin for company, he was still anxious.
Finally, night fell. The Phoenix Temple Master and Evan left the Vermilion Bird Clan and flew east. Evan had to admit, he was impressed by the Temple Master’s flying speed; he could keep up with Evan without even shifting into his true beast form. Flying beasts really were something else.
After flying for more than two hours, the Phoenix Temple Master finally stopped. The moon was high in the sky, and silvery moonlight bathed the land. Evan asked, "Are we there yet?"
"Not yet. Look, just ahead there’s an invisible Teleportation Gate. We need to go through it, and then fly for several more hours before we reach the Divine Dragon Valley Gate. Actually, my clan used to have a Teleportation Gate that led straight to the entrance, but for some reason it disappeared. Otherwise, things wouldn’t be so complicated." said the Phoenix Temple Master.
Evan Chu spread out his spiritual sense and, sure enough, detected an energy fluctuation not far ahead. He said, "Let’s go in, then!"
"No rush. The Teleportation Gate only works when moonlight shines directly on it. If you go in now, it won’t teleport you anywhere. Just be patient and wait." said the Phoenix Temple Master.
Evan felt a bit speechless. The location of Divine Dragon Valley really was hidden—without someone to guide you, you’d never find it. This invisible Teleportation Gate was just the same: if you didn’t know about it, you’d never even notice it was there.
"Don’t be so impatient, Lin Feng. You’re acting like a different person. If you want to achieve great things, you have to be steady. There’s plenty of time, so don’t rush." Luna said just then.
Evan realized his anxiety was all because of Luna—he’d never felt so impatient before. "I know. Maybe it’s because I care about you so much!"
The moon climbed higher as Evan waited. Finally, a single shaft of moonlight broke through the clouds and landed on the Teleportation Gate. Instantly, the invisible gate began to glow. The Phoenix Temple Master said, "Quick, let’s go! The gate only works when a single ray of moonlight hits it, and it only lasts a moment."
This was the first time Evan had ever seen such a magical Teleportation Gate. He immediately flashed inside, and a huge pulling force swept both of them away.
When they reappeared, Evan saw it was no longer night—it seemed to be morning, with dew still on the wild grass. "What’s going on? Did we spend half the night being teleported without realizing it?"
"This is the outer region of Divine Dragon Valley. It’s a self-contained area, kind of like the Demonic Realm. We have to keep moving—before noon, we must reach the Divine Dragon Valley Gate. Only the first ray of sunlight hitting the giant boulder at the entrance will reveal the true gate, and that’s when you’ll need to infuse it with dragonforce." said the Phoenix Temple Master.
The more Evan heard, the more amazed he was. The Dragon Clan of Divine Dragon Valley was just unbelievably secretive. He quickly flashed after the Phoenix Temple Master, heading off into the distance…
