Shattering the Godfall Valley Barrier

1/19/2026

No one had expected the Immortal-Beast War to end like this. Even now, it felt like a dream—many people were still struggling to process what had happened.

Immediately, the beast army and the Immortal army began to withdraw to their respective cities and strongholds. Marshal Goldrake stayed behind with over a hundred powerful Immortal Emperors, preparing to follow Evan Chu to rescue the immortal beasts trapped inside Godfall Valley.

Evan Chu’s specially trained elite unit had miraculously suffered zero casualties during the war, yet managed to slaughter over ten thousand immortal beasts—a terrifying figure that proved their overwhelming strength.

Evan sent them back to Frostbane Imperial Palace to rest, while the hidden sects and ancient Immortals were also dismissed. Only Nolan Nangong, Jade Qin, and Xuemei Wu remained with him as his core allies.

The group quickly left for Godfall Valley. Since everyone present was an Immortal Emperor, their speed was unmatched—they arrived at the valley’s entrance in just a single day.

“This is Godfall Valley. There’s a powerful energy barrier up ahead that we’ll need to break through. But since it’s already late, why don’t we wait until tomorrow? Tonight, everyone should get a good rest.” Evan said.

Marshal Goldrake studied the invisible barrier in front of them and said, “This barrier looks extremely strong. Breaking through it won’t be easy. Tomorrow is fine—tonight we can think over the best way to break it.”

“It’s actually simple. As long as we all attack together, we can break it—but we need to focus our attacks on the same spot. Otherwise, the barrier’s backlash could injure us. Let’s talk about the details tomorrow!” Evan said.

No one spoke further; everyone found a spot to cultivate. Evan flew up to a mountaintop, sat down, looked up at the starry sky, and gave a bitter smile. “My strength is still too weak… When will I finally become truly powerful?”

Gradually pulling himself out of his thoughts, Evan closed his eyes. He was pondering something crucial—a vague memory of Nine-Heaven Divine Dragon Metamorphosis, one of the few pieces of information left to him by the Primordial Dragon.

After witnessing Marshal Goldrake’s Nine-Heaven Divine Dragon Metamorphosis, Evan realized just how terrifying that technique truly was. Once the immortal-beast matter was settled, he planned to cultivate it himself—his strength would skyrocket for sure.

He tried to recall the method for using Nine-Heaven Divine Dragon Metamorphosis, but after half a day he still couldn’t figure it out, leaving him thoroughly frustrated. Maybe the Primordial Dragon’s inheritance was just too vague—he’d have to work it out on his own. Evan was too embarrassed to ask Marshal Goldrake for help; it would be humiliating, and his pride wouldn’t allow it.

He opened his eyes and glanced up at the night sky—now scattered with countless stars. Among them, the one he knew best from the Big Dipper was shining especially bright.

Evan knew that with just a thought, he could instantly resonate with that star. But there was no need—he decided to master Nine-Heaven Divine Dragon Metamorphosis first, and only then would he pursue the power of the stars.

He remembered that Nine-Heaven Divine Dragon Metamorphosis had another name: Divine Dragon Nine Metamorphoses. Supposedly, Divine Dragon Nine Metamorphoses was even more complete than Nine-Heaven Divine Dragon Metamorphosis—otherwise, with his cultivation, he shouldn’t have struggled to comprehend it.

Time passed quickly; in the blink of an eye, night was over. When Evan returned to the barrier, everyone was already gathered, waiting for his command to attack.

“King, how do we attack?” Marshal Goldrake asked Evan.

“Focus all our power on a single point and attack with everything we’ve got. Since we have so many people, we can split into groups and strike several spots at once—that’ll break the barrier faster. This barrier is special: it gets stronger the harder you hit it, so only if our attack power reaches a certain threshold can we break through. Everyone, you must go all out!” Evan said seriously.

Everyone present was an Immortal Emperor and understood exactly what Evan meant. They quickly split into ten teams, each choosing a target point before flying into the sky.

“Attack!” At Evan’s command, everyone unleashed their most powerful techniques, striking at their chosen targets with full force.

Thunderous explosions echoed and merged together, shaking the entire space. The invisible barrier ahead was shattered by their combined strike, and a surge of dense Immortal Essence swept out toward them.

The shattering of the barrier triggered a massive tremor, felt clearly by the immortal beasts inside Godfall Valley. At that moment, the Golden Dragon King was discussing matters with other clan leaders. Sensing the violent quake, he immediately said, “What could cause such a powerful tremor? Did the king break open the entrance barrier?”

“It’s very likely—the tremor is coming from the direction of the entrance barrier. Why don’t we go take a look?” the Phoenix King suggested.

“Alright, let’s go see what’s happening. Even if it wasn’t the king, it must be related to the barrier—maybe today is finally the day we leave Godfall Valley.” said the Golden Dragon King.

Immediately, everyone flew toward the entrance of Godfall Valley. Evan and his group, seeing the barrier shattered, entered without hesitation.

It didn’t take long before they arrived at Skyflight Terrace. Just seeing the platform filled Evan with unease—his blood roiled uncontrollably, and he knew it was because of the ancient fiend sealed beneath it.

“Everyone, leave Skyflight Terrace immediately. This place is extremely dangerous—we shouldn’t linger. Godfall Valley still hides many threats, so stay alert.” Evan warned the others.

Evan led the group toward the Dragon Clan’s territory. After several hours, they stopped—because the Golden Dragon King and several others were flying toward them.

Upon seeing Evan, the Golden Dragon King and his companions greeted him respectfully: “Palace Lord, you’re finally here—we’ve been waiting for you a long time!”

“The Immortal-Beast War is over, and we’ve broken the entrance barrier to Godfall Valley. From now on, the immortal beasts here are free to leave.” Evan said with a smile.

The Golden Dragon King and the others broke into radiant smiles. The Phoenix King said to Evan, “Thank you, Palace Lord. We’ve waited countless millennia for this moment—now that it’s here, it almost feels unreal.”

“Now that immortals and immortal beasts have agreed to coexist peacefully, I hope you’ll uphold this agreement when you leave. If anyone causes trouble, don’t blame me for not warning you.” Evan said sternly.

“Let me introduce these clan leaders—they’re the strongest among the immortal beasts. Get to know each other, and spread the news that the Godfall Valley barrier has been broken. Let everyone celebrate this uplifting moment.” Evan said with a smile.
