After spending a day in Godfall Valley, Evan Chu left together with Nolan Nangong and the others. With the Immortal-Beast War now over, everyone had their own tasks to handle.
Evan told Marshal Goldrake to visit Frostbane Imperial Palace when he had time. After consulting with Nolan and Jade Qin, he decided to redefine Coldshroud Imperial Palace’s sphere of influence as the immortal-beast territory—formally integrating the beasts as part of the Immortal Realm.
Marshal Goldrake and the other immortal beasts were deeply moved by this decision and felt immense gratitude for Evan’s kindness. Goldrake promised that once the beasts were properly settled, he would personally visit Coldshroud Imperial Palace.
Evan then summoned Goldwing and, together with Nolan and the others, returned directly to Frostbane Imperial Palace. The losses from this Immortal-Beast War were truly devastating—a rough count put the death toll at nearly one million soldiers, with around two hundred thousand above Da Luo Golden Immortal level.
That’s no small number—especially since the war lasted only two short days. Most of the deaths were caused by brutal self-detonations and friendly fire. But now that the war is over, it’s finally time for everyone to rest and recover.
When Evan returned to Frostbane Imperial Palace, all his women came to greet him. Now, the Immortal Realm could finally enjoy real peace for several hundred, maybe even a thousand years. This was the best time for everyone to strengthen themselves.
“Everyone worked hard in this war. In a thousand years, there’ll be an even more terrifying conflict—the casualties might be even worse. But now that the immortal beasts have joined forces with us, our odds against the Demonic Realm are much better. Still, you can’t slack off—improving your strength is the key.
I hope everyone can find time to go into closed-door cultivation again. Next time, you might all have to step onto the battlefield—the Demonic Realm’s power far surpasses that of the immortal beasts. You should understand this.” Evan said.
“Don’t worry, Palace Lord—we’ll do our best! One day, we’ll definitely defeat the Demonic Realm’s army and bring everlasting peace to the Immortal Realm!” said a mid-stage Immortal Emperor, the strongest member of the elite unit.
“Very good. Now that the war is over, it’s time we held a victory banquet. This time, only Frostbane Imperial Palace’s people will attend—no outsiders. Elder Liehuo will be in charge of preparations. If anyone has other matters to raise, bring them up now. If not, today’s council is adjourned,” Evan said.
“Palace Lord, now that the Immortal-Beast War is over, many soldiers still have families. We at Frostbane Imperial Palace must take responsibility for the aftermath, but it’ll require a huge amount of Immortal Stones,” said the Second Elder.
“Immortal Stones aren’t a problem. Frostbane Imperial Palace will provide one share, and the other cities will contribute another. The aftermath must be handled properly—the fallen soldiers are all heroes and the pride of the Immortal Realm. Second Elder and Third Elder, I’m leaving this to you,” Evan said.
After the meeting ended, Evan returned to his chambers. Now, Fairy Lynn, Serena Frost, Yvonne Xuan, Roxanne Lin, Lillian Zhang, Selena Yale, and Faye Knox had all ascended to the Immortal Realm, and the women followed him into his room.
Looking at these stunning beauties, Evan felt truly blessed. This was a top-tier harem—no one else in the Immortal Realm could enjoy such fortune.
“Evan, now that the Immortal-Beast War is over, the sisters have a request. Can you promise us?” Selena Yale asked.
Evan glanced at the women, puzzled. “What is it? Judging by your faces, it’s definitely nothing good. Go ahead—who told me I’m the perfect good man?”
All the women rolled their eyes at him—so narcissistic! “Evan, the sisters want to give you children. I mean those who haven’t had kids yet, but if you want those who already have to bear more, we’re more than willing. It’s our duty to expand the Chu family line; we won’t shirk it,” Selena Yale said.
Evan’s face instantly darkened. So this was their request? Not even a ‘perfect good man’ could handle that. He grumbled,
“Ladies, spare me! Your cultivation isn’t high enough yet—there’s no need to rush into having kids. It’s exhausting, you know!”
Fairy Lynn glanced at Evan and laughed. “Their cultivation may be average, but Yvonne, Serena, and I are strong enough, right? So can we bear your children? We’ve discussed this for ages—you’d better not disappoint us, or face the consequences.”
Evan glanced at Fairy Lynn. “You dare threaten your Palace Lord? Don’t you know a wife should honor her husband as heaven? I’d like to see what consequences you think you can make me face.”
“Lillian, close the door. Tonight, let’s show him what the sisters can do! If we don’t teach him a lesson, he’ll think he’s got us all figured out!” Fairy Lynn declared.
Evan suddenly felt like a lamb entering a tiger’s den—he couldn’t hit these women, and if there was any hitting, he’d be the one getting beaten. He watched in amazement to see what they would do to him.
Fairy Lynn was the first to walk up and hug Evan. “Tonight, we’re going to force you to let us bear your children—we’ve prepared everything. Yvonne, tie him up!” she said.
Yvonne Xuan immediately took out a fiery red rope from her storage ring, her expression comically ambiguous—half-smiling, half-serious—leaving Evan completely baffled.
“Yvonne, why are you joining in on the mischief? What is that thing?” Evan asked, puzzled.
“It’s a supreme-grade magic treasure forged by Treasureforge Sect—specially prepared for you. Enjoy it tonight!” Yvonne Xuan said.
Evan laughed, “Enough with the jokes, everyone. I still have a lot to handle—let’s talk about having kids another time.”
“Who’s joking? We’re serious—you’re not escaping tonight!” Fairy Lynn said.
“Lynn, enough with the jokes—it’s really not the right time. I need to go into closed-door cultivation for a while. If it’s truly necessary, let’s talk after I come out,” Evan said.
"Hahahaha!" All the women burst out laughing, their laughter so dazzling it left Evan completely baffled.
“Evan, we were just testing you to see if you really meant it. Now we’ve got the answer we wanted,” Selena Yale laughed.
Evan was completely confused—he had no idea what the women were really up to. Having so many women was a headache! He’d almost used his Lightshift to turn invisible just now, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
“Don’t look at us like that. We just wanted you to realize that with so many women now, you shouldn’t add any more sisters to our group. Now you see how much trouble it is! Tonight, Lynn and Yvonne will keep you company—we won’t disturb you!” Selena Yale joked.
At this, both Lynn and Yvonne blushed—their boldness vanished, replaced by shy embarrassment, and Evan couldn’t help but laugh heartily…
[Author’s note: I have errands in the city this afternoon, so there may not be another update. I’ll see about posting again tonight!]
