Peaceful Coexistence

Evan Chu glanced at the old marshal and declared, "From this moment on, the Immortal-Beast War is officially over. Starting today, Immortal Realm cultivators and immortal beasts must practice Peaceful Coexistence. I issue this decree: if anyone is found wantonly slaughtering immortal beasts, they are to be killed without mercy!"

The instant these words left his mouth, everyone was stunned. No one had expected the Immortal-Beast War to end so abruptly—it felt almost like a dream, impossible to believe. If anyone else had said this, people would have called him insane, but coming from Evan Chu, it was a different story entirely.

Though shocked, no one doubted his words. The crowd stared at Evan Chu, unable to understand how he could end the Immortal-Beast War so quickly—past wars never stopped in less than ten days or half a month.

But this time, the war lasted only two days—even with the largest armies of Immortals and immortal beasts ever assembled. The speed of its conclusion was so unprecedented that everyone was left speechless.

"I know this news is shocking," Evan announced, "but this is exactly the result I wanted. Spread the word—Immortals and immortal beasts must now coexist in peace. If immortal beasts stir up trouble, they too will be killed without mercy. Soon, I will gather both armies together, because I have major news to announce with the beast marshal."

At that, the crowd broke into smiles. Just moments ago, everyone thought this war would end in disaster, that the immortal beasts might conquer the Immortal Realm. Yet Evan Chu alone had resolved the crisis—he was like a legend, a savior who turned the tide.

Everyone felt a deep respect for him. Having someone like Evan Chu holding the line in the Immortal Realm was a blessing from the heavens; at least, it would bring comfort for the next thousand years, until the next Immortal-Demon War arrives.

Soon, the crowd dispersed to spread this inspiring news throughout the army. When the soldiers and commanders heard it, they were stunned into silence—happiness had come so suddenly, it was hard to accept.

After a few breaths of silence, thunderous cheers erupted. In an instant, everyone was celebrating—some soldiers even broke down in tears, overjoyed to have survived what they thought was certain death. The joy was so overwhelming, it felt almost unreal.

Now, with everything behind them, the Immortal Realm had gained a true powerhouse—a man who made the impossible possible, saving countless families from destruction. At that moment, Evan Chu's name was forever engraved in every heart.

All anyone felt toward him was awe and submission. At the same time, Frostbane Imperial Palace was once again firmly recognized by everyone as the domain of a true powerhouse. Many even began to see joining Frostbane Imperial Palace as the highest honor possible.

Evan Chu himself knew nothing of this; he was simply waiting for Marshal Goldrake to bring him good news, waiting to go to Godfall Valley together and break the seals so the immortal beasts could finally return to the Immortal Realm—a dream tens of millions of years in the making.

When Marshal Goldrake returned to the beast army, countless beast emperors surrounded him, furious that their strongest leader had been wounded. Many wanted to launch a devastating counterattack against the Immortal army right away.

Monarch Seraphine had also been badly injured by the shockwaves, but was now mostly recovered. "Marshal, did you kill that human powerhouse? When do we launch our attack?" she asked.

"Dragon King, let us wipe out the Immortal army and avenge you—let them see the true might of our Dragon Clan!" said one dragon clan member, his strength at late-stage Immortal Emperor.

Marshal Goldrake looked over the crowd and smiled. "Let me share some heaven-shaking news: today, the immortal beasts' dream of countless ages can finally come true—the beasts of Godfall Valley will see the light of day again!"

"The Immortals surrendered? Dragon King, you’re incredible!" exclaimed the dragon clan expert.

"Not surrender—an agreement! From now on, immortal beasts may freely enter and leave the Immortal Realm, and Immortals may enter our former territories. This is all because we now have a true supreme—someone who can rule the entire Immortal Realm!" Marshal Goldrake announced, his excitement palpable.

"That young man? He’s still alive? Don’t tell me even you couldn’t defeat him?" Monarch Seraphine asked in shock.

"That’s right—I couldn’t defeat him. If he’d wanted to kill me, he could have, but he didn’t. Because he can’t kill me—he’s one of our Dragon Clan too. But he’s not just any dragon—he’s a Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon, the only Primordial Dragon Bloodline of the archaic era. He’s actually one of our own immortal beast family!" Marshal Goldrake declared.

Everyone was floored by his words. A Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon had actually appeared—a figure straight out of legend! Every member of the Dragon Clan knew exactly what the number of claws meant. Now that a Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon had shown himself, the true king had arrived—the one all dragons must bow to.

If a Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon unleashed his full bloodline pressure, every dragon—no matter how strong, even those at demigod or god-king level—would be compelled to submit. That’s the power of bloodline in this world.

Of course, this only worked on dragons; other races weren’t affected much. Still, the appearance of a Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon was a miracle for the Dragon Clan, and everyone was thrilled—especially since this one was a supreme powerhouse.

"Marshal, what do we do next? The Immortal-Beast War is over—should we head to Godfall Valley now and free the beasts trapped inside?" an elder asked.

"That’s right. Pass down my order—the Immortal Realm war ends here. From now on, immortal beasts may come and go freely, but if they cause trouble, humans have the right to kill without mercy. Likewise, if humans provoke immortal beasts without cause, they’ll face the same punishment.

Spread the word to every immortal beast: from now on, immortal beasts and Immortal Realm cultivators must practice Peaceful Coexistence! This is the glory of our Dragon Clan—and the glory of all immortal beasts!" Marshal Goldrake declared.

The crowd erupted again. As the news spread, the beast army thundered with excitement—no one could believe the war had ended so quickly.

Soon, Evan Chu led the Immortal army and Marshal Goldrake led the beast army to gather together. Dozens of prominent Immortal Realm figures and clan leaders of the strongest beast races rose into the sky.

Moments ago, they were mortal enemies—now, they could stand together in peace. The world truly does change in strange ways.

"Goldrake, I’ve already issued the orders. Immortal Realm cultivators and immortal beasts have reached Peaceful Coexistence. I also grant you the right to build a great city for the beasts in the Immortal Realm—a true territory of your own.

Of course, some Immortal Realm cultivators will want powerful flying beasts as companions. I hope you can provide them with beast eggs, maybe even sign some contracts. What do you think?" Evan Chu asked.

"I’ll follow the king’s orders—whatever you want, I agree to." Marshal Goldrake replied.

"Good! Spread my words—now that the Immortal-Beast War is over, I’ve finally let go of a long-held burden. Next, we’ll go to Godfall Valley together and break the seals, freeing the beasts inside!" Evan Chu declared.

In that instant, both the Immortal army and the beast army erupted in thunderous cheers...
