Golden Dragon’s Submission

1/19/2026

After blasting out of the pit, Marshal Goldrake let out a dragon roar that echoed through the heavens and earth. A colossal golden dragon appeared in the sky, its body stretching several thousand meters and shimmering with dazzling gold light, radiating absolute dominance.

Evan Chu looked up and saw that this golden dragon was actually a Seven-Clawed Golden Dragon. Many of its scales had fallen off, and several huge wounds were still bleeding golden blood—clearly, his injuries were far from healed.

Evan flashed into the air, facing the golden dragon and said, "You've lost. Shouldn't you end this Immortal-Beast War now? Don't force me to kill you. As a Seven-Clawed Golden Dragon, your bloodline is already considered extremely noble among the Dragon Clan. I hope you'll think carefully about this."

At this moment, Marshal Goldrake was desperately stabilizing himself, trying not to fall from the sky. His massive dragon eyes stared at Evan and said, "Destroying the Immortal Realm has been the dream of us immortal beasts for countless ages. Even if I die, I won't give up. You're strong—so strong it's unbelievable—but I still won't fear you. At worst, we'll perish together!"

Evan understood what he meant. If Marshal Goldrake really self-destructed, he might actually die too. It was a terrifying prospect. Of course, with his Golden Body, as long as even a sliver of his soul remained, he could restore his body. On this point, he had no fear.

But if Marshal Goldrake truly died, ending the Immortal-Beast War would become even harder—maybe it would trigger an unprecedented, catastrophic battle, with consequences beyond imagination.

"Looks like it's time for you to know my true identity. As a member of the Dragon Clan, I'm glad you have such resolve. Under your rule, the dragons of the Immortal Realm are in good hands." Evan said.

"What's your real identity? Are you also a Golden Dragon?" Marshal Goldrake asked, having noticed the golden blood on Evan.

Evan didn't answer. Instead, he let out a thunderous dragon roar. A golden dragon materialized before Marshal Goldrake, its aura so overwhelming that Goldrake couldn't help but want to bow. This was the presence of an ancient powerhouse, and the unique, mighty bloodline aura of the Dragon Clan.

Seeing the human before him suddenly transform into a golden dragon, Marshal Goldrake was momentarily petrified. It was like witnessing a myth come to life. Even though he'd suspected this might happen, seeing it with his own eyes was a completely different experience.

When he saw Evan's dragon form was actually the legendary Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon, Marshal Goldrake was utterly stunned. This was the true apex of the Dragon Clan—a power before which all dragons must submit. For a moment, he was at a loss, his massive dragon body abruptly reverting to human form as he landed back on the ground.

After returning to the ground, he could barely stand. Already gravely wounded, the sheer shock now sent his blood and qi surging uncontrollably, and he couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood.

Evan shifted back to human form and flew down, stopping two meters away from Goldrake. He released a surge of powerful wood-element energy toward the ancient dragon.

Marshal Goldrake wanted to speak, but seeing Evan's resolute gaze, he closed his mouth and quickly absorbed the wood-element energy to heal his wounds. After about half an hour, Evan stopped.

Goldrake's injuries had mostly stabilized; with ten days or half a month of cultivation, he could fully recover. Countless questions filled his heart—he wanted to ask Evan, the most noble dragon-blooded powerhouse, everything.

Evan took out a Jadeheart Lotus seed and tossed it to him, saying, "Swallow it and restore your Immortal energy. Now you understand why I had to stop this Immortal-Beast War. I'm an Immortal, but also an immortal beast—so I must end this war."

"Only peaceful coexistence between immortal beasts and Immortals can ensure unending prosperity. Your greatest wish is to conquer the Immortal Realm and free the beasts imprisoned in Godfall Valley. But I've already subdued all the immortal beasts in Godfall Valley."

"Breaking the barrier of Godfall Valley is easy—just a word from me. In the Immortal Realm, I am the sovereign; among immortal beasts, you are the sovereign. I trust you understand what I mean."

"Gold Dragon pays respects to the king!" Marshal Goldrake immediately stood and performed a kneeling salute to Evan, but Evan gently lifted him up, not allowing him to kneel.

"Goldrake, there's no need for excessive ceremony. The reason I didn't reveal my ancestral dragon bloodline at first was because I wanted your true submission. The Dragon Clan is the noblest of all races—even with the Primordial Dragon Bloodline, if my strength wasn't greater than yours, you wouldn't truly submit. That's why I had to fight you seriously."

Casualties in battle are inevitable. If your strength hadn't been great enough, maybe I would've killed you myself. You don't hold it against me, do you?" Evan asked.

"Your power is overwhelming, king. It's the first time I've ever encountered such strength. Right now, I'm at early demigod rank. I stayed in the Immortal Realm to free the immortal beasts trapped in Godfall Valley, rather than ascending to the God Realm. I thought I could finally accomplish that this time, but I never expected to meet an opponent even stronger than myself."

When you defeated me, my heart fell to rock bottom. It felt like all my hopes were destroyed—an unbearable feeling. But then, in an instant, everything changed, and it was as if I'd gone from hell to heaven. The emotional whiplash was terrifying.

If you'd revealed your ancestral dragon identity from the beginning, maybe I wouldn't have submitted. Since you stood with the Immortals, you'd be our enemy. I might not have killed you, but I would've taken you back to the Dragon Clan. After the Immortal-Beast War ended, I'd have crowned you Dragon King and ascended to the God Realm in peace.

But your strength is just too overwhelming. There's one thing that puzzles me, though. King, your cultivation is only at mid-stage Immortal Emperor—how can you possess such terrifying might? Is it all because of your bloodline, or did you inherit the true legacy of the Primordial Dragon?" Goldrake asked.

"Some things can't be explained so quickly. For now, let's end the war. I promise the immortal beasts of Godfall Valley will be freed, and you can live and move freely in the Immortal Realm—even settle down here if you wish." Evan said.

"I trust your word, king. Meeting you is the greatest blessing of my life. I'll return to the immortal beast army and announce this great news. I'm sure good news will follow soon." Marshal Goldrake said.

With that, he flashed away. Evan then teleported directly to Nolan Nangong and the others. Seeing their pale faces, he laughed and said:

"I told you to retreat farther, but you didn't listen—and now you've been hurt, haven't you? How are you all holding up? Nothing serious, right?"

"Commander, your power is truly awe-inspiring. Even at such a distance, we were injured by the aftershocks—I've never heard of anything like it. What happened to the Golden Dragon marshal? Did he die under such a terrifying attack?" Nolan Nangong asked.

"He didn't die, but he was hurt worse than me. He's already returned to the immortal beast army now," Evan replied.

"Commander, should we immediately launch another attack on the immortal beasts?" an ancient Immortal elder asked Evan...
