Trapped in a Predicament

Evan Yang and Brocade watched with an amused attitude, found a spot to chat leisurely and sip wine, while Liam Yang was off on his own, darting around like a headless fly, running here and there.

"Damn, I need to figure something out, but I can't reveal my identity—what should I do?" Liam muttered to himself.

After thinking for a while, Liam finally came up with an idea. Somehow, he produced a sign that read: 'Messenger sent by the Song Family under the Yang Clan, urgent business for the other clan heads, important matter.'

When Evan and Brocade saw this, they nearly spat out their wine. "This kid, he actually pulled off this trick," Evan muttered.

Brocade chuckled, "He only knows the Song Family, hasn't met the others, so how could he know where they'd show up?"

"Are you praising him?" Evan laughed.

"You could say that," Brocade smiled.

Evan shook his head, "Let's keep watching. Who knows what he'll do next."

After half a day, someone finally approached Liam. That person asked, "You're from the Song Family?"

"Yeah, that's right," Liam replied.

"Come on, follow me." With that, the man led Liam away, and Evan and Brocade also put down their wine and followed.

They arrived at a hollow in the mountains, where there was a teahouse. The man who brought him said, "The other clan heads are inside. If you have business, go in and talk to them."

Liam nodded, "Thanks."

Liam walked to the door, pushed it open, and entered. Inside, he saw seven people seated around a round table, with tea and snacks on it. The atmosphere was tense, as if they were pondering something serious.

"You're sent by the Song Family? What's your business?" one of them asked.

Liam said, "The Song Family sent me to tell you: release the Yang Clan members, or the Yang Clan will come for payback."

"Nonsense! Does the Yang Clan even have anyone left? They're gone. Since when did the Song Family become so timid? We should never have let you join us—you only mess things up." the man snorted coldly.

Liam laughed, "No one left in the Yang Clan? That's a joke. Let me tell you, the Yang Clan is back, and the strongest one—Evan Yang—has appeared. And just so you know, this place isn't safe anymore."

"What? You're betraying us?" On hearing this, the man was furious, and the other six grabbed their weapons, ready to escape.

Liam laughed, "Don't bother running. Since you're here, let's have a proper talk. Today, none of you seven are getting out." With that, he closed the door.

The seven stared at him, one sneering, "Kid, what are you to the Song Family? With your strength, you think you can trap us?"

"I'm not from the Song Family," Liam replied with a smile.

"Then who are you?" the man asked suspiciously.

"Me? I'm from the Yang Clan. You probably don't know me yet, but you will from today. My name's Liam Yang." Liam smiled.

"Liam Yang? When did the Yang Clan have someone like you? No matter, today you'll die first." The man raged. But before any of the seven could make a move, Liam subdued them instantly—their strength was far too weak to resist him.

"You! Who exactly are you? Let us go!" one of them shouted angrily.

Liam chuckled, "I told you, I'm from the Yang Clan. Now tell me—where did you imprison the Yang Clan members?"

"We don't know," the man replied.

Liam snorted, "Don't know? I'll make you know." With that, he began a series of interrogations, eventually confirming they truly didn't know—only that another group secretly handled the capture and imprisonment.

"Who are those people?" Liam asked.

"They're Elder Master Yang's people," one of them said.

"Elder Master Yang? Who's that?" Liam asked suspiciously. The man, hearing Liam didn't even know Elder Master Yang, replied, "Of course, Elder Master Yang—the Yang Clan patriarch's eldest son. Are you really from the Yang Clan? You don't even know this?"

Liam was confused; he truly didn't know the Yang Clan patriarch had an eldest son. He asked, "Do you know where Elder Master Yang is?"

"He—they're in Watermoon Grotto," one of them said gloomily.

"Watermoon Grotto?" Liam asked, puzzled.

"That's right, Watermoon Grotto. It's an independent space," the man replied. After hearing this, Liam said, "Tell me the exact location of Watermoon Grotto, or you won't live to see tomorrow."

Hearing Liam's words, the man had no choice but to say, "Okay, I'll tell you now."

So the man gave Liam the location. After receiving it, Liam injured them all and tossed them aside. As Liam left, one of them said, "Damn it, hurry, contact Elder Master Yang and tell him a Yang clan member is coming for him—he's heading for Watermoon Grotto right now."

"Yeah," another replied, then took out a Transmission Stone and began sending a message.

Liam never imagined they'd use this method to contact Elder Master Yang. At that moment, he thought Elder Master Yang had no idea, and that he'd easily catch them at Watermoon Grotto.

Watermoon Grotto was hidden on a small island, which itself was on a certain planet in the Immortal Realm. When Liam arrived, he saw only one island in the entire sea. He laughed, "Elder Master Yang, right? I'm Liam Yang, here to take you down." Still, he was puzzled—if Elder Master Yang was part of the Yang Clan, why would he lead the betrayal? It was completely unexpected.

Though surprised, he landed on the island. There was a secret cave, with four characters carved above it: Watermoon Grotto. Without hesitation, Liam entered.

As soon as he stepped inside, it felt like a maze. He quickly lost his sense of direction, as a strange formation shifted all around him. Just as Liam couldn't find a way out, a laughing voice echoed, "You're from the Yang Clan? Why don't I recognize you?"

"Who?" Liam asked, suspicious, upon hearing the laughter.

"Me? Elder Master Yang of the Yang Clan. You say you're from the Yang Clan—how come you don't recognize my voice? Kid, who are you? State your name." Elder Master Yang laughed in secret.

"So you're Elder Master Yang? Perfect, I'm here to capture you today." Liam said.

"Kid, are you even grown up yet? Ridiculous—you think you can catch me?" Elder Master Yang snorted.

"Watch how I deal with you." Liam darted around, his strength terrifying, but he couldn't escape the formation maze. Secretly, Elder Master Yang muttered, "Who is this kid? He's so strong—at least at the God level. When did the Yang Clan have someone like this? I had no idea."

At that moment, a woman beside Elder Master Yang said, "Don't you think he looks like someone?"

"Oh? Like who?" Elder Master Yang asked curiously. The woman replied, "Evan Yang. I'll never forget—he ruined my son."

Elder Master Yang looked at Liam inside the formation and exclaimed, "Now that you mention it, he really does look a bit like him."

Behind the two, a transparent barrier imprisoned two others. Hearing Elder Master Yang's words, one of the men said, "Big Brother, stop this already."

"Shut up! You, Dad, and Leon Yang are all in it together—so you all deserve to die! I've already been merciful letting you live this long," Elder Master Yang snapped.

Another woman snorted coldly, "Third Brother, ignore him. Someone like that is beyond saving. He already destroyed the Yang Clan—he's not one of us anymore."

"Not one of us? Little sister, think about it—how much have I done for the Yang Clan over the years? And look at Dad, how did he treat me and my son? Why did Leon Yang and that brat get his favor, but after all these years, he never considered handing the clan to me?" Elder Master Yang snorted coldly.

The woman replied, "That's because Dad saw through your crooked heart. If he'd given it to you, the clan would've been ruined long ago."

"Crooked heart? That's right, I'm truly crooked now. Not only will I destroy the Yang Clan, I'll make Dad, Leon Yang, and that dog Evan Yang kneel before me!" Elder Master Yang said angrily.

"Hmph, Evan Yang's cultivation has already surpassed Immortal Sovereign and God, stepping into the Heavenly Dao. You? You can't even beat a God, yet you dream of dealing with Evan Yang." The woman sneered.

"Maybe not before, but now it's different. With Watermoon Grotto, I'll make that brat suffer unforgettable torment!" Elder Master Yang laughed wildly.

"Keep dreaming," the woman said angrily.

"Husband, ignore her. None of those Yang Clan people will ever understand our suffering. Today, let's deal with Evan Yang's brat first, then take care of Evan himself." the woman said.

"Yeah, that's right. Watch me." Elder Master Yang said, then turned and manipulated the strange formation, forcing Liam's power to be suppressed. Not only that, Liam was trapped in a small area filled with flames, making him suffer intensely.

"Third Brother, how did he get this bizarre place, and why can he control it so easily?" the woman asked, puzzled.

"I don't know. I just feel he's changed—become terrifying. He's not the same person anymore," the man sighed.

The woman nodded, "Yeah, he's no longer himself. But who is that person trapped? Why does he look so much like Evan Yang?"

"I'd like to know too. Could he really be Evan's son? But it's only been a few years—how could his son be so grown, and so strong?" the man wondered.

The woman was equally puzzled, but also hoped the trapped person would be okay.

Meanwhile, outside the sea, two people stood—Evan Yang and Brocade. Brocade asked, "How's Big Brother doing?"

"He's trapped, and it's inside a strange formation," Evan said.

Brocade heard this and asked, "Should we make a move?"
