Tracing the Origin of the Heaven-Cold Seed I

When Brandon White heard that Evan Yang was going, he frowned and said, "That might be a bit dangerous. If you go in, you might never come out."

Evan Yang smiled, "Don't worry. I've walked so many roads; I know my limits."

"But this information definitely came from the Twin Rakshas. If you go like this, aren't you just walking right into their trap?" White Moon frowned as well.

Evan Yang laughed, "They make their move, and I'm supposed to be afraid? Sooner or later, I'll avenge those people." With that, Evan ignored everyone's objections, took Luna and Brocade, and left.

In an instant, Luna carried Evan Yang and Brocade and vanished. When they appeared again, they were already outside the Labyrinth of Boundless Sky. Looking at the realm, Evan said to Luna and Brocade, "You two go into my artifact for now. I'll go in first to search for them."

Brocade spoke up, "Boss, let me go in with you. Don't forget, I'm a tracking expert."

Evan was stunned for a moment, then smiled, "I almost forgot. Alright, come with me."

Luna entered the artifact, while Brocade followed Evan. The two stepped into the realm, and once inside, countless invisible labyrinths appeared around them, and the path behind vanished.

"Can you sense anything?" Evan asked Brocade. Brocade replied, "There's still a trace of their aura lingering. I think I can find them."

"That's good, let's go." Evan let Brocade lead the way, and Brocade followed the lingering aura, moving forward bit by bit.

Just like that, after a long time, Brocade finally said, "We're getting closer and closer."

Hearing this, Evan knew they were about to find them, so he urged, "Hurry up."

Evan kept moving forward, and finally saw two people ahead. They were none other than Grandmaster Adrian 'Left-Edge' Zuo and Grandmaster Marcus 'Armybreaker' Po. At the moment, both looked confused, searching everywhere without any sign of Evan.

When Evan appeared, the two grandmasters looked at each other. Left-Edge laughed, "Finally found you, kid."

"Seniors, I'm really sorry. I didn't expect you'd be tricked into this place." Evan said awkwardly.

"Tricked into this place?" Left-Edge, still not understanding, asked curiously. Evan smiled, "Here's what happened." He explained how they had been lured into the trap.

After hearing Evan's explanation, the two grandmasters looked shocked. They hadn't expected to be tricked themselves.

"Looks like we were careless," Grandmaster Left-Edge sighed.

"Seniors, may I ask why you were so eager to find me?" Evan asked curiously.

"Of course, it's something important. Let's get out first, then talk." Grandmaster Armybreaker said with a smile.

Evan glanced at the two grandmasters and then looked behind them, saying, "The exit has disappeared."

"Don't worry. This Labyrinth of Boundless Sky is nowhere near enough to trap the two of us old guys! We already left ourselves a way out," Grandmaster Left-Edge said with a laugh. Armybreaker also smiled, while Evan looked at them in confusion—until the two activated a formation they'd prepared in advance, instantly teleporting everyone out.

When they appeared again, they were already outside the realm. Evan couldn't help but admire how the grandmasters had everything arranged.

"Seniors, can you tell me now?" Evan thought for a moment, still curious.

"Come with us," said Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker, then led Evan toward the Immortal Realm. On the way, Evan frowned, unsure what their purpose was for returning there.

It wasn't until they brought Evan into the Blue World that he asked suspiciously, "Why are we here?"

"Actually, the World-End Organization has long been preparing to choose someone as their doomsday tool. Cultivating this tool requires the Heaven-Cold Seed. So ever since you used it, you were destined to become that person," Grandmaster Left-Edge explained.

Evan was shocked, "You all knew?"

"Yes, we knew. That's why, as soon as we returned, we wanted to find out who was behind it all. But we got stuck at one point, and need your help," Grandmaster Left-Edge said.

"Oh? If there's anything I can do, just say the word." Evan knew they were searching for the mastermind, and naturally agreed without hesitation.

Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker nodded, then took Evan to a cliff.

Elsewhere, Lady Raksha was furious. "Look at you, coming up with stupid ideas! Now they've met up and gone to that realm. If they discover anything, the Master will kill us!"

"Lady Raksha, it's not that serious. I don't believe they can find the Master just like that. If it were that easy, the Master would be too weak," Lord Raksha Darkhand said quickly.

"Now's not the time for pointless talk. Figure out a way to stop them," Lady Raksha said sharply. Darkhand knew Lady Raksha was agitated, so he said, "Let's go to the Blue World and see what they're up to."

In the Blue World, Evan looked at the familiar cliff—years ago, he had met Sovereign Frost here. Grandmaster Left-Edge asked, "Who did you meet here back then? Who gave you the Heaven-Cold Seed?"

Evan asked suspiciously, "You don't suspect him, do you?"

"Not at all. We just want to investigate further—it has nothing to do with him," Grandmaster Left-Edge replied. Evan nodded and began, "The Twin Rakshas are monitoring me. They can hear everything we say. I'd rather they not be able to listen in."

"That's easy. I'll teach you a formation that blocks those artifacts," Grandmaster Left-Edge said with a smile, then transmitted his formation to Evan.

After receiving the formation, Evan couldn't help but admire it. The only downside was that he'd have to activate it each time. Evan set up the formation and said, "The person was Sovereign Frost, from the Water Palace. The Water Palace here is the same as the one in the Immortal Realm. I heard the Heaven-Cold Seed came from the Water Palace."

"Got it. Let's go visit the Water Palace," Grandmaster Left-Edge said, and everyone set off again.

After they left, Lord Raksha Darkhand wondered, "Why couldn't I see them just now?"

"They probably realized we were watching, so they must have used some method to block our tracking," Lady Raksha said.

Darkhand nodded, "Looks like I was wrong."

"Good that you know. Now, hurry and figure out where they've gone. We have to stop them if we can," Lady Raksha said. Darkhand nodded, "Understood."

In the Water Palace of the Immortal Realm, Evan found Palace Lord Marina. When Marina saw so many people arriving, she asked curiously, "What brings you all here today? And who are these guests?"

Evan introduced everyone one by one, and finally said, "Palace Lord Marina, may I ask if the Heaven-Cold Seed ever appeared here in the past?"

"That's right, it did appear here. In fact, someone named Sovereign Frost took it away. Why do you ask?" Palace Lord Marina was surprised to hear about the Heaven-Cold Seed.

Evan asked curiously, "Do you know how the Heaven-Cold Seed ended up here?"

"I don't know the details. I just remember a group of people came one day, and someone said they'd found the Heaven-Cold Seed. In the end, Sovereign Frost took it away," Palace Lord Marina replied.

"Who were those people?" Evan asked curiously.

Palace Lord Marina muttered, "That group came with Palace Lord Rowan of the Wood Temple, but I don't think they were actually from the Wood Temple. Normally, something like the Heaven-Cold Seed would be used by the Wood Temple themselves—why would they bring it to me?"

"So what were they doing here?" Evan asked curiously.

"They said they wanted to borrow someone from us—a water-attribute cultivator—for something," Palace Lord Marina replied.

"I see," Evan said gratefully, then turned to Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker. "Any discoveries?"

Grandmaster Left-Edge looked around and muttered, "The Heaven-Cold Seed did appear here, and there were wood-attribute cultivators present. If I'm not mistaken, it was probably people from the Wood Temple who came."

"How did you figure that out?" Evan asked, puzzled. After so many years, how could Grandmaster Left-Edge know? Left-Edge smiled, "The Celestial Eye has another important function you might not know about—it can see everything that happened here in the past."

"What?" Evan exclaimed in shock.

"When you arrive somewhere, you can use the Celestial Eye to see everything that happened here in the past. But the time is limited—you can't use it too much. I just tried it, and won't use it again," Grandmaster Left-Edge said with a smile.

Evan was stunned. Combining Grandmaster Left-Edge's account with Palace Lord Marina's, there was a real possibility—the Heaven-Cold Seed may have come from the Wood Temple. But why did they bring it to the Water Palace, and how did Sovereign Frost end up with it?

"Enough daydreaming. I'll teach you the most secret technique," Grandmaster Left-Edge said with a smile, then began instructing Evan on how to use the Celestial Eye. Following his guidance, Evan managed to glimpse the past here, but after just a few breaths he felt dizzy.
