Six Statues Awaken, A Bit Disappointed

"It was terrifying—two demons, killing without batting an eye," Serena Heath said. Evan Yang frowned, "What two demons?"

Serena Heath described everything that happened to Evan. After listening, he asked, "What did those two look like?" Serena then described their appearance.

Evan quickly recognized them. "Damn, it's them again. They must have followed me here. I have to find them."

Serena was still frozen in fear, unmoving. Evan apologized, "Sorry, this mess is all because of me."

Serena remained dazed. Evan could only sigh and leave with Brocade. Before leaving, he said, "I swear I'll destroy them and avenge everyone."

After walking out of the main hall, Brocade asked, "Boss, what’s really going on?"

"It's nothing important, let's go." Evan knew they could easily track his every move, so he was extra careful with his words—he wouldn't discuss anything crucial aloud.

Evan took Brocade back to the Immortal Realm. Luna came out, and Evan smiled at her, "Alright, everything's fine now."

"That bloody smell just now was awful, it really pissed me off," Luna said. Evan smiled, and just then Brandon White came over and asked, "How did you come out from there so quickly?"

Evan smiled, "Actually, I went back in just now—you just didn’t notice."

Evan smiled, "Actually, I went back in just now—you just didn’t notice."

"You went back in? How did you do that?" Brandon White asked in disbelief.

Evan smiled, "Her—she’s an incredible expert."

Luna smiled, feeling proud, while Brandon White looked at her curiously, wondering when Evan had gained a young girl as a companion. Evan just smiled, "Alright, enough talking, let's head back."

With Evan leading, everyone left. Brandon White got to experience Luna’s power firsthand and had to admit he was impressed. Evan then sent Luna and Brocade off to play, while he slipped into a secret chamber with Brandon White. To avoid being discovered, Evan used sound transmission, "I’m under surveillance right now—I can’t take things out in the open."

"You’re being watched? Where?" Brandon White asked, unable to believe it.

"In the shadows," Evan replied via sound transmission.

Brandon White was confused, but after Evan explained, he finally understood. Evan said, "Come on, let’s enter my artifact world. I refuse to believe they can see us in there."

Evan and Brandon White entered Evan’s artifact world, and instantly the Twin Rakshas lost track of him.

"What kind of artifact did this kid enter? Even our surveillance can’t track him," Darkhand wondered suspiciously. Lady Raksha smiled, "That’s an extraordinary artifact. You’ll see its true power later."

Darkhand was half convinced, unsure if Lady Raksha was telling the truth. Meanwhile, Evan was already inside the artifact, looking at the Fire-Burning Furnace, with the Pure Yang Domain in his hand.

Evan inlaid the Pure Yang Domain, and the Fire-Burning Furnace erupted with flames, filling the entire space. Brandon White was startled, "Ah!"

Evan knew he wasn't afraid of these flames, but Brandon White was, so he quickly cloaked Brandon in ice-fire to shield him from the heat.

Only then did Brandon calm down, still shaken. "That was terrifying."

"Yeah, I didn’t expect the Fire-Burning Furnace to be this intense either," Evan said.

Inside Evan’s artifact, flames filled the space until they contracted back into the Fire-Burning Furnace. Then, a mirage appeared above the furnace—six women, the living forms of the six statues. Now alive, all six looked at Evan with strange expressions.

"Who are you?" Evan asked in surprise.

"Us? We are six people without souls or spirits. Whoever obtains the Fire-Burning Furnace becomes our master," one of the women said with a smile.

Evan and Brandon White exchanged glances, stunned by what was happening. They never imagined things would turn out this way. Seeing Evan in a daze, one of the women smiled, "Little master, what’s wrong?"

"It’s nothing, I’m just curious," Evan replied with a smile.

"If there’s nothing else, we’ll go back in. You can summon us anytime you need," one of them said with a smile. Then, all six vanished again.

Evan and Brandon exchanged a glance. Brandon asked curiously, "So this is all the Fire-Burning Furnace does in the end?"

"I don't think so. There must be other uses," Evan said.

Brandon looked skeptical. "What else do you think it can do?"

"I don't know yet. Let me take a closer look." Evan carefully inspected the Fire-Burning Furnace. He discovered many unexpected things inside—the flames had become four dragons. They were the four small flame dragons Gavin White once used with another artifact, but now they had grown into large fire dragons, coiling inside the furnace. With just a thought, Evan could summon them to fight for him.

Not only that, Evan found the Fire-Burning Furnace was the best artifact for pill refining—no wonder it was a legendary tool for alchemy.

After his research, Evan smiled, "For now, I only know it can refine pills. I haven't found any other functions yet."

"Either way, you’re already ahead of everyone in the alchemy world," Brandon laughed.

"Not really. I’ve only deciphered part of the Refining-Pill Divine Canon. There’s still a lot I’m studying," Evan replied.

Brandon thought for a moment and asked, "Even if you know the formulas from the Refining-Pill Divine Canon, without the materials, you still can’t make the pills, right?"

"Yeah," Evan smiled.

Brandon looked at Evan and said, "Come on, let's head out."

Evan nodded and left, leaving the Fire-Burning Furnace inside the artifact world. Outside, he saw Luna getting to know Liam Yang and the others, and they were already playing together.

Evan soon joined the group. Everyone chatted, while in the shadows, Lady Raksha and Darkhand exchanged glances, eager to know what Evan was up to.

"What do you think we should do now?" Darkhand asked Lady Raksha.

Lady Raksha said, "What do you want to do?"

"Of course, give him some pressure. Otherwise, how will he grow and reach our expectations? Our world-ending plan won’t happen any time soon if he doesn’t," Darkhand replied.

Lady Raksha laughed, "What kind of pressure?"

"Tell him that Armybreaker and Left-Edge are searching for him—and tell him where they are," Darkhand smiled.

"Are you sure you’re not crazy? We worked so hard to split them up, and now you want them to meet? What are you thinking?" Lady Raksha frowned.

Darkhand chuckled, "We can’t let Evan stay like this forever. If he does, he’ll never grow up. Besides, the Labyrinth of Boundless Sky—we can send Left-Edge and Armybreaker there, and Evan too. It’s a maze everywhere. Do you really think they’ll run into each other?"

"But aren’t you worried Evan might get lost in there and never make it out?" Lady Raksha asked.

Darkhand shook his head. "I believe in him. He’s never let us down, and every ordeal only makes him stronger. Maybe this will push him to grow faster and help the Heaven-Cold Seed mature sooner."

Lady Raksha pondered, "Let me think about it."

"No need to think. What’s there to consider?" Darkhand said. Lady Raksha glanced at him and realized the plan made sense. It was risky, but every scheme they’d ever done was dangerous. She agreed and quickly arranged for someone to deliver the message to Evan.

Evan, who had been quietly managing things in his own realm, suddenly received a letter from a stranger. After reading it, he frowned, "The Twin Rakshas again."

"What are they up to now?" Brocade asked curiously. Evan replied, "This time, it’s not a scheme. They’re telling me they lured Left-Edge and Armybreaker into a place called the Labyrinth of Boundless Sky to look for me. Damn, they’re at it again."

"So what now? What kind of place is it if it can trap two top experts?" Brocade wondered.

Evan turned to Brandon White. "What kind of place is the Labyrinth of Boundless Sky?"

"It’s a maze—Chaos World’s most famous one. It can trap a lot of people. If you’re lucky, you can get out. If not, you might be stuck forever. It has nothing to do with your cultivation, only your luck," Brandon explained.

Evan frowned at this. "Looks like I really have to go find them."
