"How did you learn this skill?" Max Mo blurted out.
"Oh, you mean this coffee?" Snow Grace tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and said, "I learned it from Mrs. Yin back when I was in Malaysia. She's really skilled, and I liked how it tasted, so I picked it up from her. Is it not to your liking, Mr. Mo?"
Not to my liking? How could it not be?
"No, it's very good." Max Mo set down the coffee cup, his pale blue eyes looking at Snow Grace. "You're very smart."
"Thank you." Snow Grace didn't ask what kind of smart Max Mo meant—whether in general or something specific.
Dealing with smart people is always pleasant.
And this was just the beginning. She would make Max Mo feel even more comfortable.
"I'll leave you to it." Snow Grace knew when to take her leave. Seeing Max Mo no longer touch his coffee, she smiled and said, "I just got word from my factory—the first batch of parts is ready for delivery. Once the workers here are set, we can start installing and producing right away."
"Good." Max Mo nodded with a smile. "You've worked hard."
Snow Grace nodded, then turned and left Max Mo's office.
The smile at the corner of Max Mo's mouth gradually faded.
He knew very well that keeping Snow Grace by his side was just self-deception.
But he still couldn't help himself.
He really was beyond saving.
He knew all along that Snow Grace was deliberately imitating Cecilia Gu, just to stay by his side.
He was like a devil who saw through everything, knowing that her efforts would never amount to anything, yet he kept letting it happen, even hinting for her to act more like Cecilia.
Snow Grace was a smart woman.
She couldn't possibly not know that even if she stayed, she was just a stand-in.
But she still insisted on doing it.
So, he pretended not to notice anything, letting her step deeper and deeper into the abyss, never able to turn back.
He really was still that King Shuo from his previous life.
He hadn't changed at all.
He would still sacrifice someone else's future for his own benefit.
Except for Cecilia, no one could make him feel compassion.
Max Mo picked up the coffee cup and tossed it into the trash can.
No matter how well she imitated, she would never be her.
It was all meaningless.
Still, he didn't mind giving her a false hope, encouraging her to imitate even more.
Max Mo looked up, staring at his own reflection in the glass.
It was as if he could see the devil's horns atop his head.
That evening, Snow Grace once again found an excuse to stay late at work—and once again, she happened to bump into Max Mo.
Watching Snow Grace gently and thoughtfully try to please him, Max Mo finally spoke: "There's nothing going on tonight, and eating alone is lonely. Miss Grace, would you care to join me?"
It was the first time Max Mo had ever invited her. Snow Grace could hardly believe her ears.
Had she really succeeded?
Had she finally, through subtle influence, attracted Max Mo's attention?
Had she managed to break through the ice around Max Mo and become the only woman by his side?
Snow Grace forced herself to keep her wildly beating heart in check, putting on a calm and casual smile. "Sure," she replied.
Max Mo gave Snow Grace a deep look, then turned and headed toward the elevator.
Snow Grace hurried after him, her cheeks flushed with excitement and a hint of sweat.
Others thought Max Mo was finally seeing Snow Grace differently, that his invitation to dinner was a sign he was interested in her.
But several of Max Mo's chief assistants all frowned in unison.
In fact, what Max Mo was doing actually proved he wasn't interested in Snow Grace at all.
Because when Max Mo was with Cecilia Gu, he never walked so fast and never made her run to keep up with him.
Instead, Max Mo would always carefully match Cecilia Gu's pace, afraid she might get tired.
When you truly care about someone, you're cautious—afraid of hurting them.
Only when you don't care do you act rough and indifferent.
Max Mo's chief assistant and a few colleagues quietly shook their heads.
Everyone understood.
That's it.
Their Mrs. Mo didn't stand a chance.
Standing beside Max Mo, Snow Grace's height only reached his shoulder.
The masculine aura he radiated seeped into Snow Grace's senses, relaxing every pore of her body—it felt wonderful.
With a man like him, even if she couldn't marry him, just being the woman by his side was already the ultimate pleasure.
Not to mention, she still had a chance at becoming Mrs. Mo of the family.
Thinking of Lisa Li's complaints and departure that afternoon, Snow Grace was sure she would defeat Lisa and be the last woman standing by Max Mo's side.
When they reached the underground parking lot, a light flashed in the distance.
Max Mo immediately noticed it. He looked up, and just as his assistant was about to check it out, Max Mo stopped him, letting the person take photos as they pleased.
Either way, even if they didn't take photos, he was going to make Snow Grace a target.
Since Snow Grace was so eager to throw herself into danger, he wouldn't hold back.
He'd already given her a warning that afternoon.
Unfortunately, Snow Grace stubbornly refused to give up.
So he couldn't be blamed for being ruthless.
Max Mo took Snow Grace to a very famous local restaurant, known for attracting many celebrities and politicians.
It's also a favorite spot for wealthy playboys with wandering eyes.
The restaurant is famous for its privacy.
Of course, that's only relatively speaking.
Quite a few celebrities have still been secretly photographed here.
But the atmosphere is so good that people still come to dine and discuss business.
When Max Mo showed up at the restaurant with Snow Grace, they immediately drew attention—many people snapped photos of them dining together.
Soon everyone was buzzing, asking if Snow Grace was the future Mrs. Mo.
Why does she look so much like Mrs. Yin?
Could it be that Mr. Mo couldn't have Cecilia Gu, so he settled for a lookalike instead?

Everyone was eager to find out who this woman was and what her background was.
Some people even started scheming, planning to find women who looked like Cecilia Gu to send to Max Mo, hoping to get closer to him.
Max Mo acted as if nothing was amiss and calmly finished dinner with Snow Grace.
Anyone who tried to come over and make small talk was blocked by his assistant.
Max Mo wasn't just the CEO of the Mo Group—he was also the heir to the Mo Family, the old master's own grandson.
There was a lot of meaning behind Max Mo's identity.
So there were plenty of people who wanted to meet Max Mo, but not everyone could.
Because of this, Max Mo's actions made countless people focus on Snow Grace.
At that moment, Snow Grace and her family were so excited their souls were trembling.
Since Max Mo took her out in public, did that mean he was about to announce they were a couple?
The Grace family shivered with excitement at the thought of becoming connected to the Mo Family and rising to power.
After dinner, Max Mo didn't take Snow Grace home himself—he had his assistant drive her instead.
But for Snow Grace, just one meal was already enough to satisfy her.
On the way back, Max Mo leaned against the seat with his eyes closed, resting.
"Boss, are you trying to make Snow Grace a target?" the chief assistant couldn't help but ask. "Are you sure you want to give up?"
Max Mo responded with a quiet hum and said calmly, "I allow her to stay, but if she keeps playing games, it's pointless. If she wants to be a target so badly, I'll let her."
The chief assistant sighed, unsure what else to say.
