Heart-Demon Heavenly Emperor

If Quinn Shepherd were on the ship, hearing this remark would have made him jump out of his skin.

He had always suspected that Elaina Cloud was the Celestial Empress, and all signs pointed to the Empress being the true mastermind—plotting against her own younger sister, Madam Yuanmu, taking over Yuanmu’s body, and returning to Heavenly Court in disguise.

The Empress then became Absolute Dust to seduce the reincarnated Heavenly Emperor, assassinated him, was killed by Venerable Skysoar, and used the opportunity to reincarnate again, infiltrating the Heaven Alliance as one of the Ten Heavenly Venerables.

He also suspected that Liana Flowersoul was Madam Yuanmu reborn, and even wondered if Madam Yuanmu had never truly died, but had also infiltrated the Heaven Alliance as one of the Ten Heavenly Venerables.

He was convinced of these theories mainly because Elaina Cloud knew he had once performed a soul-calling for the Empress aboard the Ghost Ship.

But Liana Flowersoul’s casual ‘call me elder sister’ instantly flipped his whole theory upside down!

Unfortunately, Quinn wasn’t on the ship—and even more unfortunately, Logan Cross didn’t know the background of these two women, nor did he care about their sisterly rivalry. His gaze was fixed on the sky above the star-river.

On the star-river, Quinn and his group flashed by like streaks of light, with a procession of divine beings hot on their heels, chasing them down.

"If Quinn Shepherd runs outside the Corpse Walkers’ protective range, he’ll trigger his heart demons. So why is he being so reckless, deliberately provoking all these experts on the ship?"

Logan Cross followed the star-river forward, when suddenly his heart skipped a beat—he spotted a vast, boundless continent emerging from the darkness at the end of the star-river.

"Grand Void Land... So that’s it. He’s seen Grand Void Land!"

Twin saber-lights shot from Logan Cross’s eyes, crisscrossing mid-air with a metallic clang and startling everyone aboard the world-ark. He barked, “Full speed ahead—head for Grand Void Land!”

The remaining two or three dozen people on the world-ark hurried to drive the ship faster, while Elaina Cloud and Liana Flowersoul also looked away from each other and focused on speeding up.

Grand Void Land was a floating continent in the Grand Void Expanse, first discovered by Cloud-Nether Emperor Wayne Gale. There, heart demons did not run wild. This time, Flame-Venerable and Venerable Void had led their disciples to roam the Grand Void, seeking to explore the secrets of Grand Void Land, searching for Carefree Haven and any trace of the Pioneer Emperor.

The world-ark instantly accelerated, chasing after Quinn’s party. Logan Cross personally drove his qi to push the ship’s speed to its limit. Soon, the world-ark caught up with the crowd pursuing Quinn, and Logan shouted, “Grand Void Land is here! Get back on the ship!”

Streams of light fell from above the star-river, landing one after another on the world-ark.

Everyone was bristling with killing intent, glaring at Quinn running ahead on the river’s surface. Each readied their divine arts and weapons, poised to strike him across the star-river as soon as they caught up.

Just then, cold sweat broke out on Logan Cross’s forehead. His voice turned hoarse: “There are no more Corpse Walkers ahead... Stop the ship! Stop now!”

At that moment, Quinn leapt from the shoulder of the last Corpse Walker. As he sprang, countless teleportation sigils flared up around him, spinning and swirling, wrapping his body—and in a flash, he vanished!

“Shepherd Heavenly Venerable really is slippery as eel grease!” Elaina Cloud clapped her hands in admiration.
