Competing to Win Cici's Favor

1/4/2026

He didn’t go to support Sylvia Ran—he showed up himself. What’s that supposed to mean?!

Could it be that he doesn't want a divorce?

Just the thought made Cecilia’s heart race.

But then, Cecilia realized how ridiculous that sounded.

Cecilia brushed away her messy thoughts and said to Alex, "Let me think about it. I'm really tired right now, so I want to rest."

"Yes, Mrs. Yin." Alex immediately turned to leave.

Alex was about to leave, but suddenly stopped and said to Cecilia, "Mrs. Yin, there's something I'm not sure if I should say..."

Cecilia laughed softly. "We’ve worked together for ages. If you’ve got something to say, just spit it out."

"The CEO actually cares about Mrs. Yin a lot. He's just not good at expressing his feelings, which is why there have been so many misunderstandings." Alex spoke with difficulty. "I hope Mrs. Yin doesn't mind me saying all this today."

Cecilia was momentarily stunned.

"Alex, how long have you been working for Charles Yin?" Cecilia asked in return.

"Five years," Alex replied honestly. "Strictly speaking, it's been ten years. I started working for the CEO right after graduating from college. Even when I was in graduate school and working on my doctorate, he fully supported me."

Cecilia was surprised again. "You have a doctorate?"

Alex nodded. "Yes, all of us have at least a master's degree. Even your assistant Xiao Wang is a graduate student in economics and management from Peking University."

What? That playful Xiao Wang is actually a Peking University economics grad student?

Cecilia felt a little overwhelmed. Suddenly, she remembered Charles Yin's tea tasting skills at the Yun Family today and couldn't help but ask, "What about Charles Yin? What's his academic background?"

Alex smiled softly, pride shining in his eyes.

"The CEO is a double postdoctoral graduate from Stanford. He’s fluent in English, French, Japanese, Korean, German, Russian, Italian, and Arabic, and knows lots of other languages too. He was also a professional boxer, skilled in judo, Muay Thai, and Sanda, and has even won shooting championships."

Cecilia was completely stunned.

Was the person Little A mentioned really Charles Yin?

Is that man really so impressive?

"Apart from that one relationship in the past, the CEO basically has no other romantic experience," Little A continued. "Actually, the CEO really wants to treat Young Madam well."

After saying this, Little A quickly added, "Young Madam, please don't mind me saying these things. I shouldn't have spoken out of turn."

Cecilia waved her hand.

She didn't blame Little A; she was just too shocked.

"Alright, I understand. You may go now." After Cecilia let Little A leave, she finally snapped back to herself.

Charles Yin is actually that amazing?

He's actually so talented and knowledgeable?

Cecilia's impression of Charles Yin changed quite a bit in an instant.

So, he wasn't as bad as she thought...

Cecilia really was a bit tired. She lay down on the bed and quickly fell asleep.

In her sleep, she felt a huge warm object approach her, and she couldn't help but instinctively snuggle closer, hugging it without hesitation.

Mmm, so comfortable.

Cecilia adjusted to the most comfortable position and continued sleeping soundly.

Charles Yin gazed at Cecilia as she kept moving in his arms, watching her satisfied little face in her sleep. He gently brushed away the messy hair on Cecilia's face and lowered his head to softly kiss her forehead.

Sure enough, only when she's sleeping by his side does he feel truly relaxed.

The curtains weren't fully drawn, and Sylvia Ran happened to see this scene from outside.

Sylvia Ran's eyes filled with tears as she bit her lip hard.

How could this happen...

She finally managed to get closer to Charles Yin, so why is he still so distant from her?

Dieyi Chen stood beside Sylvia Ran, reached out and patted Sylvia's shoulder, sighing, "Sylvia, why do you bother?"

Sylvia Ran suddenly turned and hugged Dieyi Chen's shoulder, crying, "Dieyi, what should I do? The only person I love is him. I can't even look at other men! Because I've been with Charles, every other man seems so inferior in my eyes. I can't live without Charles!"

"Then why did you leave him in the first place?" Dieyi Chen asked, puzzled. "Back then, you two were in love, your families approved of your relationship—so why did you leave?"

Dieyi Chen's question made Sylvia Ran's face change dramatically!

Sylvia Ran bit her lip hard, refusing to answer that question!

This question wasn't asked by just one person, but Sylvia Ran never answered.

Or maybe, she just didn't dare to answer...

She was worried—if those years were ever exposed, she'd be truly finished...

Seeing Sylvia Ran's expression, Dieyi Chen sighed, "Forget it, I won't ask anymore. Do what you think is best. As your friend, I really don't know how to advise you. Anyway, I'll try to help you two get back together. As for what you do next, that's up to you."

Sylvia Ran nodded, her face pale as she followed Dieyi Chen away.

Cecilia really was a bit tired. She lay down on the bed and quickly fell asleep.

Mmm, I really can sleep.

Wait, the big sleeping bag I was hugging...

Cecilia lifted her head and saw that handsome, devilishly charming face.

Sleeping Charles Yin looked less domineering, less wild.

His features were exquisite and flawless, not a pore in sight, his eyebrows perfectly defined, not a hair out of place.

His nose was straight and prominent, the tip round and smooth, and the curve of his thin lips was just right.

A touch of thickness gave him a hint of innocence, while the slight thinness added a trace of coldness.

It was just that perfectly beautiful.

Cecilia waved her hand in front of Charles Yin's eyes. Huh, still not awake?

Her gaze fell again on Charles Yin's ear.

Such pretty ears.

The earlobe was round and plump. According to face-reading books, that's a sign of great fortune.

Cecilia couldn't help but reach out and gently pinch his earlobe.

Wow, it feels amazing!

It's so perfect, it makes people jealous!

Cecilia didn't know what came over her. On a whim, she lifted her head and gently took his plump earlobe into her mouth...

Mmm, it really does taste good.

Satisfied, Cecilia let go of Charles Yin and saw a stack of invitations on the table, remembering what he had said.

He said, as the CEO's wife, attending these social events is just part of the job.

Hmm, since I have nothing else to do, maybe I should pick one and check it out?

Cecilia randomly picked one, called Little A, and told him to notify the host she'd be attending.

She went to the bathroom to freshen up, and soon someone came to do her styling.

What Cecilia didn't know was, the moment she left the bed, the man lying there suddenly opened his eyes.

Satisfaction sparkled in his eyes.

He never imagined his little mole would take the initiative to ambush him...

But his little mole really likes his looks, and he’s very pleased about that...

He seemed to forget how angry he used to get when someone said he was prettier than a woman.

Even the mayor’s wife was standing there with a warm smile—so what about everyone else?

Cecilia smiled, "Oh, am I late? I’m so sorry for keeping everyone waiting!"

Tonight’s hostess was the wife of a local real estate developer. She greeted Cecilia enthusiastically, "Not at all, they just arrived too! When we heard Mrs. Yin was coming, everyone wanted to see your legendary beauty!"

Cecilia smiled lightly. Legendary beauty?

That phrase suits Nora Yun, not me!

After exchanging a few polite words, Cecilia was ushered inside.

Sure enough, Cecilia’s seat was the most honored guest spot.

Everyone circled around Cecilia, treating her like the center of attention.

Looking at all these elegant ladies, most of them much older than her, flattering her at every turn...

Cecilia couldn’t help but sigh inwardly: Sure enough, when you have money, power, and status, you get special privileges!

Just then, a lady in a bright red dress couldn’t help but ask, "Mrs. Yin, are you really not related to the Yun Family?"
