Trembling Aura

"Kid, stop bluffing. You won't escape today, even if you grew wings!" Elder Hubert Hu laughed after hearing Evan Yang's bold words.

When they returned to their original spot, they found it empty. Rushing into the formation to check, they discovered that Victor Chu had disappeared as well.

"Hmph, you're just a Heavenly-Immortal. No matter how strong, you're only at Immortal-Lord level. There are several Emperor-Realm experts here—do you really think you can get away?" Elder Hubert Hu snorted coldly.

Patrick Li exclaimed in shock, "That's impossible! I definitely left several people behind—how did they just vanish?"

His disappearance was total—Elder Hubert Hu was stunned, unable to believe Evan Yang could vanish right under their noses. It was something they simply couldn't accept.

Not only Elder Hubert Hu, but Patrick Li and the others were also shocked.

Patrick Li couldn't understand why the place was empty. He quickly gathered the remaining guards, while Elder Hubert Hu and the others stood there fuming, questioning him.

"What's strange?" Elder Hubert Hu asked curiously.

"He drew so many of our experts here, then suddenly vanished. Isn't it obvious? He pulled us away, then—" Miles Ming was only guessing, but his words immediately made Elder Hubert Hu and Patrick Li's faces change dramatically.

Elder Hubert Hu shouted in alarm, "Quick, get back!"

Just then, someone suddenly said, "Patriarch, I saw Gary Li leaving the manor with a group of men. He hasn't returned yet."

"Him? Why did he leave?" Patrick Li asked suspiciously.

"I don't know." The guard shook his head, saying he only happened to see Gary Li leave with some men.

Patriarch Li exclaimed in shock, "That's impossible! I definitely left several people behind—how did they just vanish?"

"Looks like something's wrong," Miles Ming said, equally shocked.

"Looks like we need to call Gary Li here," Miles Ming said.

"He still hasn't returned?" Patrick Li asked. He didn't care what Gary Li was up to, but the situation had definitely angered Elder Hubert Hu and the others. He needed to protect Gary Li, so now he had to investigate what happened.

But all the guards replied that they hadn't approached the garden and didn't know what happened.

"You all go to Gary Li's room and wait for him. When he comes back, bring him to see us. If he won't come, just drag him over. Make sure he shows up," Patrick Li ordered angrily.

The guards hurried off to obey. Meanwhile, Patrick Li said to the furious Elder Hubert Hu, "Let's go sit in the main hall first." "I hope your son isn't the one who messed things up this time, or else! Hmph!" Elder Hubert Hu was still fuming, not caring whether Patrick Li was his pawn or not.

Patrick Li said, "He doesn't have the guts for that." With that, he led Elder Hubert Hu and the others to the main hall.

Meanwhile, Evan Yang had already returned and happened to see several guards at the door. When the guards saw Gary Li, they said, "Young master, Patriarch wants you to come over."

"I don't know." The guard shook his head, saying he only happened to see Li Gui leave with some men.

Miles Ming frowned and asked, "Did he leave with the guards who were supposed to watch this area?"

"That, I'm not sure." The guard didn't know who was supposed to be on duty, so he shook his head.

"Looks like we need to call Li Gui here," Miles Ming said.

"He still hasn't returned?" Patriarch Li asked. He didn't care what Li Gui was up to, but the situation had definitely angered Elder Tiger and the others. He needed to protect Li Gui, so now he had to investigate what happened.

"Yes," the guard replied.

Sharla handed Evan Yang a ring. Evan checked it—it was indeed Victor Chu, just unconscious.

The guards hurried off to obey. Meanwhile, Patriarch Li said to the furious Elder Tiger, "Let's go sit in the main hall first." "I hope your son isn't the one who messed things up this time, or else! Hmph!" Elder Tiger was still fuming, not caring whether Patriarch Li was his pawn or not.

Patriarch Li said, "He doesn't have the guts for that." With that, he led Elder Tiger and the others to the main hall.

Meanwhile, Evan Yang had already returned and happened to see several guards at the door. When the guards saw Li Gui, they said, "Young master, Patriarch wants you to come over."

"Oh? What does he want with me?" Evan Yang asked, testing them.

"We don't know. He told us to make sure you come with us," one of them replied.

Evan Yang could sense something was off from their tone, so he smiled and said, "Alright, I'll go inside and change clothes, then I'll come out."

Evan Yang saw Sharla's predicament and said, "Just leave for now. If your master asks, tell him Victor Chu is in my hands and you'll wait for a chance to take him from me."

As soon as Evan Yang entered the room, he saw Sharla waiting anxiously.

"You're finally back," Sharla said in surprise when she saw Evan Yang. "How did it go?" Evan Yang asked.

Sharla handed Evan Yang a ring. Evan checked it—it was indeed Patriarch Chu, just unconscious.

Evan Yang asked, "Why didn't you leave with the ring?"

"You trust me like this—how could I just leave? But you, as a member of the Li Family, why are you doing all this?" Sharla finally couldn't help but ask.

"I'll tell you about it later. For now, you can leave the Li Family," Evan Yang said.

"Why?" Sharla asked in shock.

Just then, Elder Hubert Hu appeared, glaring at Evan Yang. "Kid, I thought the Li Family was all obedient, but you actually tried to escape halfway?"

Evan Yang hadn't expected Elder Hubert Hu to show up mid-route, but he quickly calmed down and said, "Elder Hubert Hu, what do you mean by that?"

"What do I mean? I'm talking about today—why did you take the remaining men, and where did they go?" Elder Hubert Hu asked.

"I took them to catch Evan Yang, but we didn't catch him, and then lost track of them," Evan Yang said.

"Catch Evan Yang? Lost track of them? Kid, can't you lie a bit better? With their cultivation, how could they just disappear?" Elder Hubert Hu asked.

Sharla nodded, though she still didn't understand. As a member of the Li Family, she was supposed to serve them, but instead she was doing the opposite, leaving her completely confused.

"Then why didn't we see you? Kid, tell the truth," Elder Hubert Hu said, sounding impatient.

Sharla walked out of the room, and the guards didn't stop her—after all, the Li Family had no rule to detain her. When Evan Yang came out, they watched him closely, afraid he'd disobey.

Evan Yang wanted to wait until Sharla had left, so he stalled for time, saying, "Alright, I'll go with you."

On the way, the guards kept watching Evan Yang. When he thought enough time had passed, he suddenly darted off in the opposite direction, startling the guards.

Just then, Elder Tiger appeared, glaring at Evan Yang. "Kid, I thought the Li Family was all obedient, but you actually tried to escape halfway?"

Evan Yang hadn't expected Elder Tiger to show up mid-route, but he quickly calmed down and said, "Elder Tiger, what do you mean by that?"

Elder Hubert Hu growled, "Enough talk. I'll just capture him and use our technique. Then we'll know exactly what he did."

"I took them to catch Evan Yang, but we didn't catch him, and then lost track of them," Evan Yang said.

"Catch Evan Yang? Lost track of them? Kid, can't you lie a bit better? With their cultivation, how could they just disappear?" Elder Tiger asked.

"I have no idea. We really did go out to chase Evan Yang," Evan Yang replied.

"What are you standing around for? After him!" Elder Hubert Hu was more and more suspicious about Gary Li, and shouted in anger.

At that moment, Patriarch Li also arrived, having heard the commotion. He looked at Evan Yang and asked, "What exactly did you do today?"

"I took some people to capture someone," Evan Yang replied.

"Capture someone? You? Don't joke around," Patriarch Li didn't believe it at all. He knew his own son's timid nature—there was no way he'd dare to go after Evan Yang.

Evan Yang said, "I really did take people out. Believe it or not, that's up to you."

Now Patriarch Li had a headache—he really couldn't believe the person in front of him was his son.

Elder Tiger growled, "Enough talk. I'll just capture him and use our technique. Then we'll know exactly what he did."

Seeing Patrick Li so certain, Elder Hubert Hu said without hesitation, "In that case, I'll use my ultimate move."

With that, Elder Hubert Hu stopped and took out a bow. The bow was exquisitely crafted and glowed blue in the night.

Li Gui was his son, and he knew exactly how strong his son was. Evan Yang's display of power was completely beyond his imagination.

Patrick Li was stunned. "Darkmoon Bow!"

"That's right, the Darkmoon Bow—an eighth-tier immortal weapon. This kid's fast, huh? Since he's not your son, I won't hold back," Elder Hubert Hu sneered. He poured his immortal energy into the bow, and a sharp arrow appeared.

Faced with so many pursuers, Evan Yang had no choice but to use Meteor Speed. His speed soared instantly, making even Elder Tiger barely able to keep up.

"What's with this kid?" Elder Tiger was shocked. He couldn't believe Li Gui's speed, and even Patriarch Li was stunned—when had his son become so strong?

"He's not my son," Patriarch Li finally couldn't help but say.

"What?" Elder Tiger was stunned by the statement—someone claiming their own son wasn't their son.

"He's not my son," Patriarch Li repeated firmly.

Seeing Patriarch Li so certain, Elder Tiger said without hesitation, "In that case, I'll use my ultimate move."

With that, Patriarch Li stopped and took out a bow. The bow was exquisitely crafted and glowed blue in the night.

Everyone could tell at a glance—it was a high-level immortal weapon.

Patriarch Li was stunned. "Xuan Yue Bow!"

"That's right, the Xuan Yue Bow—an eighth-tier immortal weapon. This kid's fast, huh? Since he's not your son, I won't hold back," Elder Tiger sneered. He poured his immortal energy into the bow, and a sharp arrow appeared.

The arrow seemed to be made entirely of immortal energy, concentrated and undispersed. Everyone nearby could feel its threat, as if it could pierce a person's soul.

Evan Yang, up ahead, also sensed the terrifying aura. He was shocked. "What is that thing? How can it be so frightening—even my soul is trembling!"
