He collapsed, still wearing a smile on his face!

"Ha! You think someone like you could marry me as a concubine? What a freaking insult!" Grace kicked him hard several times.

After she was done kicking, she carefully removed all the needles from his body, picking up the ones scattered on the ground too.

Then she stuffed something into Sean Sun’s hand and walked away.

About half an hour later, Sean Sun woke up to find himself surrounded by people glaring at him.

There was Steward Qin, some guards, a few maids, and even Cecilia Chen.

Cecilia Chen’s face had healed a lot, and she looked beautiful again, making Sean Sun’s eyes light up.

Another beauty, huh!

Not as tasty as Lily Bai, but still pretty nice!

Cecilia Chen caught him staring, pointed at him, and shouted, "Tie him up and beat him to death!"

"Yes, ma'am." Two guards walked toward him.

What the heck is going on?

Sean Sun panicked and raised his hand to stop them. "Wait!"

Just then, he realized he was holding something—a silk camisole embroidered with red flowers?

Why the heck was he holding a camisole?

Whose camisole was this, anyway?

Seeing him still staring at the camisole, Cecilia Chen slapped him hard across the face. "Pervert! Bastard! Freak! Why haven't you dragged him out yet?!"

The guards rushed forward, locked him up, and dragged him out.

Chloe Zhu hid behind the crowd, grinning from ear to ear.

That camisole? Of course, she was the one who put it in Sean Sun’s hand.

Yesterday afternoon, when she went to Moonview Pavilion to deliver medicine, she happened to see Cecilia Chen’s silk camisole drying in the inner room, so she snatched it.

After knocking Sean Sun out, she stuffed the camisole in his hand, acted all scared, and ran to find Cecilia Chen. She claimed she’d seen a guard in the back garden, holding a camisole, kissing and groping it as he walked, then tripped on a stone and knocked himself out.

Because in the Blue Moon Kingdom, servants aren’t allowed to wear silk—only plain cloth.

So she told Cecilia Chen that the camisole was made of silk.

In the entire General’s Manor, all the women are servants—except for Cecilia Chen.

When Cecilia Chen checked, sure enough, the camisole in his hand was hers. She was furious and immediately ordered his execution.

Of course, Cecilia Chen doesn’t actually have that much power in the General’s Manor.

Steward Qin had Sean Sun locked up and reported to Evan Xiao: "...Miss Cecilia says to beat him to death. What do you think?"

Evan Xiao didn’t say anything, just replied with a calm, "Mm."

Grace snickered quietly to herself.

She figured Evan Xiao wouldn’t object.

Cecilia Chen was his sweetheart, after all. If a guard dared to lust after her, it’d be a miracle if he wasn’t beaten to death...

"What are you laughing at?" Evan Xiao suddenly asked.

Grace instantly stopped laughing.

Evan Xiao glanced over at her.

"I was just thinking, good deeds get good rewards and bad deeds get bad ones. If you do something evil, karma will catch up eventually." Grace said seriously. "Sean Sun wasn’t a good person. Getting beaten to death is just his karma."

"Not a good person?" Evan Xiao looked at her coldly. "Your good friend Ruby introduced her brother to you so he could protect you. How is he suddenly ‘not a good person’?"

"Huh? Well... After I got to know him, I realized he wasn’t a good person!"

"Got to know him? You actually hung out with him?"

Grace: "...Just a little."

Evan Xiao stared at her, a sudden wave of anger rising in his heart.

Grace shrank her neck in fear, not sure what she’d said wrong.
