Rainflower Bracelet

That iron box was huge and weighed a ton—where could she possibly hide it?

Evan Xiao frowned and rummaged through her right sleeve again.

Still came up empty.

"General, you must've seen it wrong!" Grace chirped, her sincerity almost comical.

Evan Xiao's face grew darker. Suddenly, he reached out and gave her chest, stomach, back, and waist a quick once-over.

But nope, still nothing.

Where on earth did she stash it?

Looks like it's time for a little tough love interrogation...

Evan Xiao was just about to call the guards to drag her out, but when he looked up, there she was—arms crossed over her chest, cheeks blazing red, staring at him like a bashful kitten.

"What on earth is that ridiculous expression?" Evan Xiao demanded, his face still stormy.

What is with this guy!

Back in her room, Grace slipped into her secret space and popped open the iron box Tenner had given her. Inside? A whole stash of needles.

She drew some water, sprinkled in her homemade knockout powder, and let the needles soak...

By afternoon, she dabbed on some light makeup, changed into a fresh blue-and-white dress, slipped on a pretty bracelet, and headed to the back garden for her rendezvous.

Sean Sun was already there, but to his surprise, Lily Bai had beaten him to it!

She wore a new dress—just simple cloth, but it hugged her slender figure perfectly, making her look effortlessly gorgeous.

Sean Sun's eyes sparkled. "Hey, beautiful, why so early?" he teased.

Grace flashed him a shy smile. "I didn't want you to wait too long!"

That smile was pure magic—everything else just faded away.

Sean Sun was totally entranced, unable to tear his eyes away.

Grace caught his lovestruck look and mused to herself: Now that's the reaction I was hoping for!

But that Evan Xiao... No matter how hard she smiled at him, he was as cold as a block of ice!

She was starting to wonder if he was even a real man.

With a knockout beauty practically falling into his lap, Sean Sun was beaming and generous. "Didn't you say you had a request? Go ahead, tell me!"

Grace lowered her head, absentmindedly twirling her bracelet, and whispered, "I'm a girl from a good family, you can't just take me for free, right?"

Sean Sun burst out laughing. "Easy! Just do what Ruby says and you won't have to be a maid anymore. I'll take you in myself, how about it?"

Take me in—as your side chick?

Did you really think you could be my wife? Dream on! You're not a Spirit Practitioner, so you can't be my main squeeze. But I'll treat you well, gorgeous!" He stepped closer, almost in her personal space.

Any closer and he'd be hugging her for sure.

Grace pressed the hidden button for her 'Rain of Flowers' trap.

Sssst! A flurry of sedative needles shot straight into Sean Sun's face.

"What the..." Sean Sun touched his face, then dropped like a sack of potatoes.

She was seriously starting to doubt if Evan Xiao was even a real man.

With a goddess like Grace about to be his, Sean Sun was grinning ear to ear and feeling generous. "Didn't you say you had a condition? Name it!"

Grace dipped her head, absentmindedly spinning her bracelet, and whispered, "I'm a girl from a good family, you can't just take me for nothing, right?"

Sean Sun burst out laughing. "Easy! Just do what Ruby says, and you won't have to be a maid anymore. I'll take you in myself, how's that?"

Take me in—as your side chick?

Did you really think you could be my wife? Not a chance! You're not a Spirit Practitioner, so you can't be my main squeeze. But I'll treat you well, beautiful!" He stepped even closer, nearly invading her space.

Any closer and he'd be hugging her for real.

Grace hit the secret button for her 'Rain of Flowers' trap.

Sssst! A cloud of sedative needles zipped right into Sean Sun's face.

"What the—?" Sean Sun touched his face, then collapsed with a dramatic thud.
