Top-Tier Treasure

1/5/2026

“Awesome! We were worried about getting hurt by the tomb’s chilling yin energy, so we brought all kinds of anti-evil stuff. But with your technique, that’s perfect!” The tomb-raiding team captain saw Ryan Ling show off this trick and immediately cheered—clearly, this was exactly what he needed!

"Alright, let’s head in while we’ve got the chance. Everyone, stay sharp—if we pull this off, we’re all going to get some insane benefits!" Ryan Ling added, making it clear that this trip into the War Tomb was a huge gamble. One wrong move and you’re dead; there’s no happy ending if you mess up here.

But if they did succeed, the rewards would be massive—so everyone was hyped up!

“Mr. Mao, do you know what’s special about this War Tomb? I’m still kinda clueless about everything around here,” Ryan Ling asked, sticking close.

“This War Tomb isn’t ordinary—the graves inside are laid out in Heaven–Earth–Mystic–Yellow order. We have to go step by step, no rushing it. Every tier comes with its own dangers, but if you manage to grab some loot, the payoff is huge!” Victor Mao replied quickly. He was the tomb-raiding team’s leader, super experienced, and used to be a yin-yang practitioner back in the human world, so he and Ryan Ling had some history.

“Got it. So we start with the Yellow Tier graves?” Ryan Ling followed up.

“Right. Start with the low-level stuff—take it slow. Don’t underestimate the Yellow Tier, though; it’s still super dangerous, packed with the bones of failed tomb-raiders everywhere!” Victor Mao steadied himself and continued, “But if you can make it to the Heaven Tier, the rewards are insane. Rumor has it there’s a Saint Immortal’s tomb up there—supposedly a total masterpiece. Even scraping a tiny benefit from it would set you up for life!”

“A Saint Immortal’s tomb?” Ryan Ling blinked in shock—he hadn’t expected that. Saint Immortals are top-tier monsters; even a billion Ryans wouldn’t add up to one Saint Immortal. If a War God like Marcus Wu ran into one, he’d probably get flicked away like a bug!

The strongest expert Ryan Ling had ever seen was an Ancestor Immortal, and that power was already hard to believe. Even if Ryan dove into the Demonic World now and fought the old Ancestor Immortal there, he’d probably get steamrolled. Saint Immortals? Forget about it.

“Let’s take it slow. Saint Immortal tombs are way out of our league right now!” Ryan Ling knew his limits—no point poking such a monster. If he could just find a few Primordial Immortal graves, that’d already be a huge boost for his cultivation!

“Yeah, Big Brother Mao, I think just making it to the Mystic Tier is good enough for us. The Earth Tier is totally off-limits—last time we got cocky and nearly didn’t make it out!”

“True! We’ve got to play it safe this time—no more greed or reckless moves like last time. That way we might actually get something out of it!”

A few other team members chimed in—they’d clearly been here before and knew the War Tomb pretty well!

“Alright, I’ll go with your plan—let’s start with the Yellow Tier graves.” Victor Mao nodded. They’d clearly been entrusted by Marcus Wu to guide Ryan Ling on this first trip, so safety was the top priority. Nobody dared to get reckless!

Ryan Ling understood they meant well, so he didn’t say much—he just followed the tomb-raiders and headed quickly into the War Tomb.

The War Tomb was way bigger than Ryan had imagined—graves everywhere, each with its own unique layout. Only serious heavyweights could get in here. Ryan felt that every tomb radiated a fierce martial killing intent, packed with powerful martial qi and slaughter aura. Compared to normal graves, these were on a whole other level. Even with his thick Hell King aura, Ryan still felt the cold here biting into his bones, making his spine tingle and his heart skip a beat!

“Weird. Why does the War Tomb feel colder and more murderous than usual today?” one of the tomb-raiders asked Victor Mao, clearly puzzled.

Victor Mao frowned, sensing the difference too. He scanned the area and said, “Everyone, stay alert and don’t get separated. I think someone’s already been here and set off a bunch of traps!”

Victor Mao really was a pro—everyone nodded as soon as he spoke. It made sense: these tombs didn’t just upgrade their defenses on their own. Unless some expert had poked around and triggered stuff, things wouldn’t get this nasty!

“Heads up, everyone!” Ryan Ling called out. The whole team nodded in agreement.

Ryan Ling scanned the Yellow Tier graves around him. He could feel the chill seeping out from every tomb, but the actual grave level was pretty average—most were just Da Luo Golden Immortal, with a few half-step Primordials. So far, he hadn’t seen a single full Primordial Immortal!

Of course, the rest of the team weren’t like Ryan Ling—their strength was way lower. Just getting into the Yellow Tier felt like heaven to them, and they immediately started looting all the grave goods they could find!

Ryan Ling didn’t care for any of that stuff. He swept his gaze over everything and only picked up a few random items—which, honestly, weren’t much use to him anyway.

“Mr. Ling, there’s a tomb over here that’s probably the best in the Yellow Tier—want to check it out?” Victor Mao called out, showing his experience and sharp eye. He’d already guessed Ryan Ling wasn’t impressed by the other graves, and this one might actually be worth his attention.

Ryan Ling nodded and turned to look—sure enough, this was a pretty grand tomb, and it probably held a Primordial Immortal. Scanning the whole Yellow Tier, this was the only grave that really stood out!

“Alright, let me take a look!” Ryan Ling didn’t hesitate at all. He reached right out and struck the tomb, leaving Victor Mao stunned—he hadn’t expected Ryan to be so direct! That was definitely going to trigger some traps, and could be seriously dangerous!

Victor Mao had been entrusted by Marcus Wu—he absolutely couldn’t let anything happen to Ryan Ling. He was just about to speak up when, suddenly, something incredible happened: the massive formation that was about to activate got totally locked down by Ryan Ling!

It was like a big guy about to throw a deadly punch—only to have his arms and legs snapped in an instant. The whole crew of tomb-raiders couldn’t believe what they were seeing!

“How is that even possible?” The tomb-raiders stared at each other, eyes wide with disbelief.

“Come on out!” Ryan Ling’s current power was more than enough for this. The corpse in the tomb had only been a low-level Primordial Immortal when alive—barely stronger than the Barbarian City Ancestor, and posed zero threat!

As soon as Ryan Ling finished speaking, the tomb exploded open and a blood-soaked corpse was sucked out. The moment it hit sunlight, it started to mutate and lunged at Ryan—but Ryan didn’t even bother looking. He jabbed a finger, and the corpse instantly blew apart into dust!

“How is that possible? What kind of power is that?” Several tomb-raiders couldn’t help shouting—they’d never seen anything this wild before. Even Victor Mao was stunned, staring at Ryan Ling, totally speechless.

“Absorb!” Ryan Ling barked, and the massive corpse aura rushed straight into his body…
