The Star Lord's expression changed instantly, blood streaming down his left side, while Evan Yang also drew his dagger.
"You!" The Star Lord stared at Evan Yang, barely able to believe it.
"You forced me! Now die!" Evan Yang pressed the attack with his dagger, and the Star Lord's aura, already weakened from his injuries, began to fade.
"Why haven't they arrived yet!" The Star Lord's face turned extremely pale. If things kept going this way, he would definitely be killed by Evan Yang.
Kade Santos was trembling, unable to believe what he was seeing—a Spirit-Wandering cultivator forcing an early-stage Out-of-Body expert to such a desperate state. He couldn't help but wonder what would happen if the Star Lord died here.
Evan Yang leveraged his advantage to wound the Star Lord again, though his last few attacks only reached twenty-fold power—insufficient to seriously injure his opponent, but still exerting considerable pressure.
At this point, the Star Lord was nearly collapsing, barely holding himself upright.
"Kid, I know you're strong. Let's just leave it at that today." The Star Lord finally couldn't hold out and pleaded for a truce.
"Leave it at that? Is that possible?" Evan Yang had already torn all pretense with him and never intended to let go. He didn't want anyone keeping tabs on him—especially since the Shaw and Lynn families had just escaped. If he didn't subdue the Star Lord, the latter would surely lead others to hunt down the Shaws and Lynns, which would be a huge problem.
So Evan Yang showed no mercy and launched a frenzied assault.
Driven to desperation, the Star Lord said, his face pale, "Kid, do you know what my status is?"
"What status? You're just a Star Lord." Evan Yang snorted coldly, then continued his attack without hesitation.
The Star Lord realized Evan Yang would never let go, so he shouted, "Fine, fine! If that's how it is, you won't fare any better!"
With that, the Star Lord used the last of his strength to try and fight Evan Yang head-on. But would Evan let him have his way? Not a chance. As soon as Evan noticed the Star Lord was making a last stand, he produced a whole array of daggers.
Seeing all those daggers, the Star Lord was furious, but what could he do? As his gourd couldn't spin fast enough, Evan Yang struck him several more times with his daggers.
The ground was soon covered in the Star Lord's blood.
"You!" The Star Lord glared furiously.
Just then, a group of people arrived from not far away.
Evan Yang was shocked to see they were the clan disciples, while the Star Lord was overjoyed. "They're finally here!"
He immediately tried to trap Evan Yang, not letting him escape.
Evan Yang, out of options and playing dirty, went all out for one last strike, unleashing his strongest attack with every dagger.
Thud, thud—like stabbing into a sandbag. The Star Lord, who had expected Evan Yang to run, never imagined he'd strike such a blow before leaving.
He stared at Evan Yang, his face full of unwillingness.
Evan Yang retrieved all his daggers, and at that moment, the Star Lord finally couldn't hold on—his legs gave out and he knelt, his gourd falling to the ground with a loud bang. His eyes bulged as if triggered by something.
The clan leaders were all stunned by what they saw. In that instant, Evan Yang quickly picked up the gourd and left the teleportation array.
By the time everyone came to their senses, Evan Yang was already gone.
Someone was the first to shout, "The Star Lord is dead!"
The Star Lord is dead? What will happen to Northridge Star now?
Everyone looked at each other in confusion—even Kade Santos was stunned. Nearby, the Star Lord's bodyguard lay on the ground and called out, "Help me up."
Everyone recognized this as the Star Lord's personal bodyguard and quickly helped him up. When he saw the Star Lord's corpse, he shouted, "He—he dared to kill the Star Lord!"
"What do we do now?" someone asked anxiously.
"Help me over there," the injured bodyguard said.
Someone stepped forward and helped the bodyguard over. The bodyguard knelt down, struggled to search the Star Lord's body, and found a communication stone.
He found a contact and sent a message: "Northridge Star, the Star Lord has been killed."
The recipient immediately demanded, "What happened?"
The bodyguard explained the situation briefly, and the other side instructed, "Maintain the scene. No one is allowed to leave!" Then the connection was cut off.
Everyone looked at each other; those who wanted to leave could only stay put.
Soon, the teleportation array lit up again, and a man led a group of bodyguards out.
"Greetings, Ao Star Lord," the bodyguard quickly saluted. The others didn't know his identity, but hearing 'Star Lord,' they guessed he must be another Star Lord.
So everyone hurried to salute the Star Lord as well.
The newcomer approached the body of the recently deceased Star Lord and examined it, discovering over a dozen wounds—one especially deep, striking a vital spot.
"Issue a wanted order!" Ao Star Lord commanded the group behind him. They responded, "Yes, sir!"
Ao Star Lord then said to the dead Star Lord's bodyguard, "For now, you will manage Northridge Star. I'll send someone else next time." With that, he flashed away through the teleportation array.
"Who was that just now?" someone finally couldn't help but ask.
The bodyguard replied, "He's the Star Lord of Ao Yue Star, a fourth-level star above Northridge Star—Ao Star Lord."
Everyone trembled, relieved they hadn't offended him earlier.
"Give the Star Lord a proper burial, and keep a close eye on the Shaw and Lynn families. Track them down no matter what." the bodyguard ordered.
Everyone knew the bodyguard had been temporarily appointed Star Lord by the fourth-level star, so they accepted his orders and quickly carried away the former Star Lord. Kade Santos, not far off, hurriedly left with Du Shi.
Soon, news of Evan Yang killing the Star Lord of fifth-level Northridge Star spread, and Ao Yue Star's Star Lord issued a public notice. The announcement quickly reached many planets in the Ninefold Star System.
As for Evan Yang, he had already left the jurisdiction of Ao Yue Star.
At this moment, he was on Tianming Star, a fourth-level star.
The Shaw and Lynn families began establishing themselves here. The ten major families from Northridge Star, upon arrival, could only be considered second-tier—not first-tier.
When the Shaw and Lynn families learned that Evan Yang had killed the Star Lord of Northridge, they were all shocked.

"Brother Yang, you really killed the Star Lord?" Shaw Tiange exclaimed.
"It was a critical moment, and he wouldn't let me go, so I killed him." Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Now you've got trouble. But luckily you're not in Ao Yue Star's jurisdiction. As long as you keep a low profile and Tianming Star's Star Lord doesn't find out you're here, it'll be hard for them to track you down." Shaw Ci was most worried about Evan Yang being wanted by Ao Yue Star's Star Lord.
Sure enough, the Shaw and Lynn families had barely arrived when they heard that Ao Yue Star had issued a wanted notice for Evan Yang throughout the Ninefold Star System.
"As long as no one bothers me, there won't be any trouble. If they do, there's nothing I can do." Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Kid, you're really impossible to read." Lynn Tian said with a smile.
Evan Yang smiled, then spent several days on Tianming Star with everyone. One day, he sought out Shaw Ci and Lynn Tian.
"Why are you looking for this?" After hearing Evan Yang's explanation, Shaw Ci asked curiously. Lynn Tian was just as intrigued.
"Nothing much. I'm just interested in herbs, especially those with strong spiritual power." Evan Yang was asking them about herbs. In this unfamiliar world, he could only rely on what these two families knew.
Shaw Ci and Lynn Tian exchanged glances, then Shaw Ci said, "If you're looking for good herbs, there are only a few places you might find them."
"Tell me," Evan Yang said curiously.
"First, the black market; second, auction houses; third, places with especially dense spiritual energy; and fourth, sects famous for cultivating herbs," Shaw Ci replied.
Evan Yang found that reasonable. But in the black market or auction houses, you might not get what you want, or it might not suit his Tianhan seed—so buying would be pointless.
As for places with dense spiritual energy, they were hard to find and might not have what he needed. So Evan Yang focused on sects renowned for cultivating herbs.
"Among the three major star systems, which sect grows the widest variety of herbs?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"We don't know, but we do know there's a famous sect on a third-tier star." Shaw Ci's family had only been to fourth-level stars at most, and rarely to third-tier ones, so their knowledge was limited. This was the best answer they could give Evan Yang.
"Third-tier? That'll do. Do you know which star, and what's the sect called?" Evan Yang pondered for a moment, thinking a third-tier star should be quite large. This fourth-tier star was already several times bigger than Northridge Star, with experts everywhere—he often saw Out-of-Body cultivators fighting in various places.
"It's called Mingling Star. I have an old partial map of the star, and the sect is called Purple Cloud Sect," Shaw Ci said.
Evan Yang took a piece of cloth and examined it, seeing round shapes and lines. The map reminded him of the one he found beneath the Ice Palace, though the star names were different.
"What's wrong?" Shaw Ci asked, seeing Evan Yang in a daze.
Evan Yang snapped out of it and smiled. "It's nothing. Do you know how much of the three major star systems this map covers?"
"This? Just the tip of the iceberg," Shaw Ci replied awkwardly.
Evan Yang realized Shaw Ci misunderstood and quickly clarified, "I just wanted to see how vast the three major star systems are. I didn't expect this map to cover over a hundred stars—if that's just the tip of the iceberg, then the systems are enormous."
"That's right. What I gave you only covers stars below third-tier—ones I've visited most often. I haven't been to other places or gotten maps for them," Shaw Ci said with a smile.
Evan Yang nodded in understanding.
"There are also many unknown and even dangerous stars that aren't included in the three major star systems," Shaw Ci continued.
After hearing Shaw Ci's explanation, Evan Yang gained a deeper understanding of the three major star systems. He was about to head to his first third-tier star—Mingling Star—to find Purple Cloud Sect, seek suitable herbs, and break through to the Out-of-Body stage as soon as possible.
So he soon found Shaw Tiange and said his goodbyes.
Watching Evan Yang's departing figure, Shaw Tiange muttered, "Will he come back?"
"If you want to see him again, you'd better focus on your cultivation," Shaw Ci said with a smile.
