Tacit Joint Assault

2/14/2026

Evan Yang's avatar faced off against Dustin Du and Kade Santos, while his true body confronted the Star Lord, and Cyril Shaw clashed with the Star Lord's guard. Thus, three fierce battles erupted beside the teleportation array.

Dustin Du was still injured, so even teaming up with Kade Santos, he was suppressed by Evan's avatar.

So Evan's avatar felt no pressure at all, but his true body was under intense strain. The Star Lord's mid-stage Out-of-Body Realm cultivation was indeed formidable: not only faster, but his reaction speed and strength were all superior to early-stage cultivators.

The Star Lord wielded a gourd—his life-bound weapon, a true artifact, and its quality rivaled some pseudo-Immortal treasures.

This artifact was a reward the Star Lord received from the Three Palaces, so he had great confidence in the gourd.

The gourd's mouth aimed at Evan, and he could instantly feel a force drawing him in. He'd felt this same sensation before when fighting Devourer Beasts.

Fortunately, Evan had his Soaring Sky Dance Steps and quickly dodged aside. His power in midair was no less than on the ground, making even the Star Lord secretly sigh in admiration—he muttered to himself, 'Where did this kid come from? How does he have so many tricks up his sleeve?'

Evan had no idea what the Star Lord was thinking. All he wanted right now was to find an opportunity to get close and attack, but the gourd hovered above the Star Lord's head, always ready to target him, making it extremely difficult to approach.

"If I can't get close, I'll have to attack from range!" Evan said, pulling out several needles. This wasn't some fair duel—it was a life-and-death struggle. If Evan lost, it would drag the Shaw Family down with him, so he absolutely had to win.

So, when Evan unleashed the needles, he didn't hesitate for a second. Multiple strands of divine sense locked onto his target, and he used his qi to drive the needles flying forward.

So the Star Lord shouted to Kade Santos, "Santos kid, hurry and inform the other family heads. Tell them I'm in trouble and need their help—get them here fast!"

Kade Santos understood and quickly took out a communication stone to contact the families he knew, spreading the word.

Seeing this, Evan knew that if the other family heads arrived, he'd face more enemies and couldn't escape. He had to get rid of the Star Lord now.

Evan became even more ferocious, constantly using the Spirit-Draining Box to replenish his spiritual power.

The Star Lord didn't have a treasure like Evan, so as time passed, the gourd's speed gradually slowed.

Seeing the slowing gourd, Evan knew his chance had come. His true body drew the Star Lord's attention, pretending to attack, and the gourd spun over to block him. Just then, Evan's avatar moved, pulling out a dagger and launching his strongest attack from the side.

Although he didn't have the gauntlet, Evan still unleashed fifty times his power—a stroke of luck, since he thought he'd need several tries to trigger such a powerful attack.

Thinking it, he acted. Evan took out even more needles and sent them flying from different directions, straight at the Star Lord.

This time, the needles covered his whole body. The Star Lord was shocked; the gourd spun a circle, but couldn't dodge the needles overhead.

The Star Lord stretched out his hand and shouted, "Break!" Then his palm directly blocked the needles.

Crackling sounds rang out as the needles struck the ground.

"You have a weapon on your palm!" Evan looked closely and saw the Star Lord was wearing a gauntlet on the hand he'd just used.

"Kid, didn't expect this, huh? No matter what you try today, you're dead." The Star Lord sneered.

Evan frowned. Even this didn't work—what else could he try?

While dodging, Evan thought about how to break the gourd's defense and get close.

"Got it." Evan considered all his available methods and felt secretly pleased.

The Star Lord only saw Evan flickering around, while he kept controlling the gourd, trying to absorb Evan into it.

Little did the Star Lord know, Evan was up to something.

After circling the Star Lord and throwing a punch, Evan clapped his hands and said, "Done."

"Done with what?" the Star Lord asked, confused. Then a flash of light appeared nearby—a formation rose up.

"A formation? You know formations too!" The Star Lord was shocked by Evan's trick.

Evan had indeed used a formation, but it wasn't just any formation. Besides being a ninth-grade array, he'd added something special.

"Just a ninth-grade array." Evan smiled.

The Star Lord thought the grand formation was nothing, but when he heard it was a ninth-grade array, he laughed wildly. "Kid, don't you know ninth-grade arrays can't trap someone at Spirit-Wandering or above?"

"Is that so? Then try it—see if you can break free." Evan smiled.

"Ridiculous! Let me show you!" The Star Lord sneered, put away his gourd, and directly attacked the formation.

But things didn't go as expected. The formation flashed, seemed about to shatter, but just wouldn't break—and then restored itself.

The Star Lord tried several more times, but the result was the same. Frustrated, he shouted, "Kid, this isn't a real ninth-grade array!"

"I said ninth-grade, so it's ninth-grade. Why would I lie to you?" Evan smiled, secretly muttering, "I just added a special restriction."

The restriction Evan had added was exactly what the Snow Wraith Spirit taught him. He knew that restriction could trap Spirit-Wandering cultivators, even without using artifacts like Blue Chariot. Monsters and others would also be blocked outside, so he decided to try it—and sure enough, under Evan's power, it could temporarily imprison someone at early Out-of-Body. That was already impressive.

But what happened next made Evan worry—the restriction could barely hold someone at early Out-of-Body, and it was clearly straining. The restriction's strength depended on the caster's spirit power: the higher the cultivation, the stronger the restriction. But Evan was only at Spirit-Wandering, so his restriction could only temporarily trap someone at early Out-of-Body. That was already pretty good.

After countless attacks, the Star Lord realized the formation wasn't invincible. It began to loosen, so he laughed, "Hahaha, looks like your array can't hold me for long. Just wait for me to break out and wipe you out!"

Evan frowned and told Cyril Shaw and the others, "You all go first."

Seeing Evan trying to seize the chance to escape, the Star Lord shouted, "Everyone, block them!"

Under the Star Lord's orders, everyone surrounded Cyril and the others. Evan had to fight his way through, helping Cyril. With Evan's help, Cyril felt much less pressure and managed to push back his opponents.

"Go!" Evan said to Cyril.

Cyril quickly took Tanner Shaw to the interstellar teleportation array, then found a planet to teleport to.

Evan's main body and avatar blocked the Star Lord's guards and Dustin Du.

"Stop him! Don't let him escape!" the Star Lord shouted while breaking the formation's restriction.

No one dared hesitate—they all attacked Evan's main body and avatar.

Evan knew that if this kept up, he'd never escape. So his main body immediately merged with his avatar, then attacked the already injured Dustin Du.

Dustin Du couldn't match Evan. Evan's attack left Dustin Du clearly struggling, nearly exhausted, while the Star Lord's guard blocked Evan's path to the formation.

Evan let out a shout. While his main body tangled with Dustin Du, his avatar launched a fierce blow from the side, sending Dustin Du flying and crashing to the ground, blood pouring out. Tanner Shaw wanted to attack Evan, but didn't have the guts, so he rushed over to check on Dustin Du.

Dustin Du never expected things to go this way—he was seriously injured again and again, and now felt like he was about to die.

Seeing Dustin Du sent flying, Evan's avatar and main body surrounded the guard.

The guard was no match for Evan's two bodies. In no time, Evan forced him to the edge, then unleashed a wild attack, sending the guard flying as well.

With no one blocking him, Evan quickly dashed forward. But just then, someone flew over to the teleportation array. "Kid, you think you can escape?"

It was the Star Lord, who had just broken free and rushed over.

Evan glanced around, making sure no one else was coming, and finally relaxed. With his main body and avatar combined, facing the Star Lord was much easier.

"So that's how it is. Let's fight to the end!" Evan's main body smiled.

"Kid, you've got guts." The Star Lord sneered, seeing Evan had nowhere left to run.

"Come on." Evan's main body and avatar were already fighting, both ready to go.

Both bodies faced off against the Star Lord.

Knowing Evan's speed was extraordinary, the Star Lord spun his gourd above his head to keep Evan from approaching.

If one body couldn't manage, Evan used the advantage of two bodies to attack the Star Lord from both sides.

The Star Lord didn't have multiple strands of divine sense like Evan, so when faced with attacks from two experts at once, he struggled—especially since both were Evan's main body and avatar, working together far better than ordinary fighters.

Whenever the Star Lord blocked Evan's main body's attack, the avatar would launch another strike.

This way, the Star Lord gradually found himself outmatched. But he refused to let Evan escape, determined to fight him head-on.

As time passed, the Star Lord realized he couldn't beat Evan—especially since Evan's spirit power lasted longer than his own. That was something he couldn't figure out.

So the Star Lord shouted to Kade Santos, "Santos kid, hurry and inform the other family heads. Tell them I'm in trouble and need their help—get them here fast!"

Kade Santos understood and quickly took out a communication stone to contact the families he knew, spreading the word.
