Damien Gray, with an innocent look, shifted the blame back to her. "It’s all because the Cloud Guildmaster is simply too irresistible!"
Qin Yan, stunned for a moment, finally regained his senses. His face was as pale as a ghost, staring at the two of them in horror, his trembling finger pointing at them, voice so shattered he could barely form words. "You... you..." How could this be possible?
His gaze landed on Morgan Shangguan, disbelief still flickering in his eyes. This woman was Fiona Yun? What kind of joke was this? Yet the growing terror and pallor on his face revealed he had already accepted the truth.
He couldn’t help but believe it—the otherworldly aura, the calm and distant gaze, it was unmistakably Fiona Yun!
Previously, she was always lazily nestled in the Ghostmaster's arms, her docile demeanor no different from any woman eager to please a man. He hadn't noticed anything amiss. The only thing that surprised him was the Ghostmaster's indulgent attitude toward her. And he never imagined Yun Fengqing would be a woman!
Qin Yan glanced at Damien Gray, then at Morgan Shangguan. His pale face gradually flushed red with anger. After all his years in the martial world, in the end, he had been played—played so thoroughly that he lost everything!
Morgan Shangguan seemed to think he wasn’t angry enough, a faint smile at her lips as she lowered her gaze to the lazily reclining Damien Gray. She reminded him, "Ghostmaster, don’t forget, we agreed on sixty-forty!"
At these words, Qin Yan became even more furious. He staggered back two steps, his trembling finger pointed at them, and—"Argh!"—he spat out a mouthful of blood!
He was so furious, he literally spat blood!
But neither Damien Gray nor Morgan Shangguan paid him any mind. Damien lifted his eyes to Morgan, stretching out against the chair back like a well-fed leopard—elegant and lazy. He seemed uninterested in hunting, yet beneath that languid exterior lurked danger. His deep gaze met Morgan’s calm eyes, a hint of seductive amusement flickering, though he remained inscrutable, as if waiting for something.
Morgan Shangguan narrowed her eyes. That damned fox was clearly trying to seduce her!
Seeing Morgan Shangguan look away, Damien Gray sighed, obviously frustrated by his own failure. Glancing at the swaying, nearly-collapsing Qin Yan, he rather unscrupulously vented his displeasure on him, his voice cold: "Fortress Lord Qin, please take a tour of the dungeon."
As soon as he finished speaking, two expressionless men in black entered and seized Qin Yan, ready to drag him away. Only now did Qin Yan seem to come to his senses, struggling violently, eyes full of hatred as he glared at Morgan Shangguan. "Fiona Yun, may you die a miserable death!"
Morgan Shangguan looked innocent, glancing at Damien Gray who still radiated charm, raising an eyebrow. "Fortress Lord Qin, it was the Ghostmaster who deceived you. I don’t think it has much to do with me." She paused, then kindly reminded, "If you never know what’s going on, you’ll always be easy to fool!"
Damien Gray couldn’t help but curl his lips, not minding her shifting all the blame onto him. But she was clearly poking at his sore spot!
Qin Yan coughed angrily, a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth. Seeing this, Morgan Shangguan asked with feigned concern, "Fortress Lord Qin, are you alright? Dying now would be rather inconvenient."
"Rest assured, Cloud Guildmaster, I won't let Fortress Lord Qin die too quickly!" Damien Gray’s magnetic voice sounded almost cruel. Qin Yan’s teeth ground loudly, looking as if he might bite them at any moment, but he was helpless under restraint—no matter how hard he struggled, it was all in vain!
Qin Yan was escorted away. Morgan Shangguan turned, grabbed Damien Gray by the collar and hauled him up. Despite the rough gesture, the kiss she planted on his lips was full of helplessness and indulgence. Damien wrapped his arms around her, laughter filling his eyes—clearly, his charm was still working!
"Ahem..." A cough interrupted their intimate moment.
Under Damien Gray’s annoyed gaze, Logan Qian shrank back, whispering, "I didn’t mean to…"
Damien Gray snapped impatiently, "Speak!"
Logan Qian quickly composed himself and said, "Ghostmaster, Liam Duanmu wants to see you!"
Liam Duanmu? Morgan Shangguan frowned. "Is it about the Qin Fortress incident?"
Logan Qian looked at her with pure admiration. "Ghostmaster's Lady, you truly have foresight!" Morgan Shangguan didn’t mind the lengthy title, but facing the young boy’s adoration, she couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward. Had she really done anything so remarkable?
Damien Gray pulled Morgan Shangguan into his arms with a cold glare at Logan Qian, showing no courtesy just because he was a subordinate. "Do you not want your eyes anymore?"
Logan Qian shrank back in fear, thinking how terrifying the Ghostmaster still was—he hadn’t changed at all!
Morgan Shangguan patted Damien Gray’s chest and said, "You should go meet him. I don’t want to miss out on my share!" She had no intention of going with Damien; Liam Duanmu had seen her before, and she was too lazy to disguise herself again.
Morgan Shangguan wasn’t particularly surprised by Liam Duanmu’s sudden appearance. Though he was clearly shaken during the Martial Arts Summit, with his personality, he wouldn’t easily give up. She figured he’d keep pursuing his sense of justice!
Damien Gray frowned, "I’ll meet with him, but don’t expect me to be polite!"
Morgan Shangguan raised an eyebrow with a laugh. "I’m not asking you to be polite. Besides, have you ever been polite to anyone?" She had no particular connection to Liam Duanmu, so she didn’t care how Damien treated him. At most, for Noah Duanmu’s sake, she wouldn’t make things too difficult—but if Liam Duanmu troubled her people, that would be another story!
Damien Gray nuzzled her, raising his brows. "Haven’t I been polite enough to you?"
Morgan Shangguan scoffed, shoving him away. "Get lost!" Polite? She’d never seen him treat her politely!
