"You!"
Hearing this, Leo Liu's face changed and he clenched his fists tightly.
"What, you want to fight? If you've got the guts, go ahead and try." Evan Lin said calmly.
At these words, Leo Liu's expression grew even uglier. His eyes were full of frustration and anger as he stared at Evan Lin, but he didn't dare make a sound.
"That's enough, both of you!"
Ivy Liang spoke coldly, her face frosty, and gave Evan Lin a somewhat dissatisfied look.
"Of course we should hold back. If it weren't for him, we'd all probably be in deep trouble right now. And you still complain he didn't step in first? He doesn't owe you anything." Lana Yu looked at Leo Liu and snorted.
"Seriously, you can't forget who helped you out. Without him, you have no idea how many beatings you'd have taken by now!" Melissa Xu frowned, clearly displeased as she looked at Leo Liu.
The atmosphere at the table was tense.
Ivy Liang was about to stand up when Yolanda Jiang quickly pulled her back down.
Claire Li pulled her chair over and sat down next to Evan Lin, her face full of little stars. "Thank you!"
She felt more and more that Evan Lin was unfathomable—a rare occasion where she found herself having strange feelings toward a younger guy.
Victor Wen saw Claire Li acting like this and felt uncomfortable inside, but didn't dare go against Evan Lin. Next to him, Wendy Wen snorted coldly, also finding Evan Lin truly annoying—wherever he went, he attracted new girls, even ones older than him.
The birthday party continued, but both Leo Li and Yang Ruizhi had lost the mood to eat and drink. With Leo Li—the host—out of commission, the other students didn't stop the festivities. Quite a few kept sneaking glances at Evan Lin's table, whispering to each other.
After hanging around for a while, Irene Xu called Stella Huang to ask about what was happening. When she heard how miserably Leo Li had been treated, Irene couldn't help feeling a bit gloating, with a hint of regret that she hadn't seen it herself.
In Irene Xu's mind, Leo Li had always been pretty disgusting.
She even specifically asked if Evan Lin had made a move. After Stella Huang described everything in detail, Irene Xu just sighed, clicked her tongue in amazement, and joked about giving Evan Lin a big red flower as a reward.
After hanging up, Stella Huang saw that Evan Lin wasn't interested in staying and got up to suggest they leave.
Seeing Evan Lin about to leave, Claire Li immediately stood up, complaining that the place was too stuffy and insisting on leaving with him.
As Claire Li got ready to go, Victor Wen and Yolanda Jiang also stood up, followed by Wendy Wen and Ivy Liang. Leo Liu, face covered, was stunned that Evan Lin alone could get an entire table to stand up and leave.
Claire Li suggested that it was still early and offered to treat everyone to roller skating. She even asked Evan Lin for his opinion, but he didn't reply, leaving Claire quietly disappointed.
Evan Lin and the others walked ahead, while Leo Liu and Ivy Liang lagged a few steps behind.
Leo Liu stared at Evan Lin's back and spoke coldly, "Ivy, from now on, keep your distance from Evan Lin. Don't be fooled by how arrogant he is right now—who knows how long he'll last."
"Back at Peiying High, he offended Hugh Hu. I don't know how that kid got mixed up with Grizzly, but Hugh's got more than just the Hu family behind him—the Grant family too. Once Hugh comes to his senses, he's definitely going to deal with Evan Lin!"
Leo Liu kept muttering. When he finished, he noticed Ivy Liang hadn't responded for a long while, which left him frustrated.
"Ivy, you have to trust me. People who walk this path never last."
"Take that guy just now—do you really think he respects Evan Lin? For all we know, he's just waiting somewhere to stab him in the back!"
Leo Liu kept grumbling the whole way.
As soon as they walked out the door of Youth Voyage Bar, they saw several vans parked outside, lined up with more than a hundred people.
Each of these people looked fierce and robust, giving off an intimidating vibe at first glance.
