Chapter 1007: Where's Your Cannon?

"You hunk of iron, damn it, where's your cannon? Blast him already, and faster, for god's sake! You've got a sturdy body, maybe you won't get sliced up, but I don't have a body at all..."

Anderson roared hoarsely, one of his faces hurling curses at the Patchwork Golem, while the other two kept their eyes glued to the Moonlight Deer and those Radiant Moon Blades.

Anderson and the Patchwork Golem dodged in disarray, and just then, the Patchwork Golem unveiled its new weapon: two cannon barrels extended from its legs, blinding light blooming rapidly in the pitch-black muzzles.

As the Patchwork Golem cast with both arms, unleashing a flood of spells, two piercing lasers shot across hundreds of meters, slicing through the elemental storm and striking the Moonlight Deer squarely.

The Moonlight Deer's veil of light flickered rapidly, the gentle glow flaring up with a blinding brilliance, then dimming just as quickly under the impact of the lasers.

The Moonlight Deer shrieked in fury, and one of the glowing orbs hanging from its antlers abruptly vanished. In an instant, a ripple of light swept across its body—a crystalline shield of radiance pressed close to its fur, and even the piercing lasers couldn't breach that defense.

"Idiot! I knew you were just a dumb chunk of iron—shoot its eyes, shoot the energy orbs on its antlers, shoot the damn thing's nuts, not its body! What the hell are you aiming at..."

One of Anderson's faces kept cursing out the Patchwork Golem, all the while frantically casting spells. The Arcane Wheel spun like a windmill, its mana cores flashing wildly, devouring magic at a reckless pace.

"Damn it, that idiot Hubert—does he really think brute force can beat a Moonlight Deer? This thing's a level forty beast; its raw strength alone is way beyond his league...

One of Anderson's faces cursed at the Patchwork Golem, the middle face glared at the Moonlight Deer, casting spells in a frenzy, while the right face spotted Hubert and started cursing him too.

Hubert hefted Slaughter and charged at the Moonlight Deer, his body hurtling forward like a cannonball, closing in on the beast. But every leap, every attempt to strike its body, was met by one of the Moonlight Deer's massive hooves.

Slaughter slammed into the underside of the Moonlight Deer's hoof, sending out rings of white shockwaves. The terrifying force reverberated up, making the Moonlight Deer stagger, but its glowing hoof was barely scratched. Instead, Hubert's body was sent flying like a blur.

He crashed into the iron trees of the forest, smashing through one after another—over a dozen were felled before Hubert finally came to a stop.

Picking himself up off the ground, Hubert wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. Steam rose from his head, and his skin looked as if it had been steamed, splitting open with deep cracks.

With bloodshot eyes locked on the Moonlight Deer, Hubert charged again, this time staring intently at its hooves and muttering through gritted teeth.

"Faster, faster and I won't get kicked away. More power, and I can smash this beast's legs, crush its hooves, then shatter its bones..."

After getting kicked away several times, Hubert was already half-crazed. By the fourth kick, his ridiculously strong body was covered in cracks, blood pouring from his skin, turning him into a walking bloodbath.

He charged again. Just as the massive hoof—larger than a person—came crashing down, Hubert roared in defiance. Suddenly, a flash of light flickered across his skin. In midair, Hubert managed to adjust his trajectory, narrowly dodging the descending hoof.
