Where Is This Place

1/4/2026

A wave of indescribable tension instantly swept through the entire camp.

Cecilia Gu is missing!

And right under their noses!

Charles Yin dashed frantically toward the riverside. The pots and pans were still there, but the person was gone.

"That's impossible!" Charles Yin shouted madly, "Absolutely impossible! How could Cecilia just disappear? How could she!"

Ever since the last time he lost and found her, Charles Yin had treated Cecilia as the apple of his eye, wishing he could keep her by his side forever.

He simply couldn't bear the pain of losing Cecilia again!

He thought such a thing would never happen again, but who could have predicted that not long after, Cecilia would vanish once more!

"The current is fast, but the water is shallow. There aren't any dangerous creatures lurking," Little B immediately squatted down to check the river and said, "Young Madam wasn't dragged off by any animal—she simply disappeared on her own."

"Enough!" Charles Yin interrupted Little B harshly, on the verge of collapse. "Go look for her! Search!"

With that, Charles Yin charged out like an enraged wolf king, determined to search for Cecilia no matter what.

Yun Morong's bodyguards immediately blocked Charles Yin. "Mr. Yin! You're going into the woods with nothing—it's dangerous!"

"Get out of my way! Don't block me! My Cecilia is in trouble!" Charles Yin's eyes turned bloodshot, his whole demeanor becoming crazed.

Cecilia was his bottom line—one that could never be crossed.

"Heishan!" Mu Ruona suddenly called out to Heishan Jiro.

Heishan Jiro instantly understood his wife's meaning. Without a word, he calmly took out a syringe and injected it into Charles Yin's arm!

"You..." Charles Yin only managed to utter a word to Heishan Jiro before collapsing with a thud.

Heishan Jiro explained to Little B, "It's just a sedative, no side effects. He's too agitated—if this continues, something bad will happen."

Only then did Little B calm down.

Yes, the boss was definitely not himself.

But now, Young Madam was missing, and the boss had collapsed.

What should they do next?

Mu Ruona immediately stepped up and said in a deep voice, "Send out search parties right away! If there was no attack from any creature, then she must have left on her own! So everyone, pack light and move out!"

With Mu Ruona's orders, the others quickly grabbed their gear and dashed off in the direction Cecilia might have gone.

At that moment, Yun Morong's head bodyguard couldn't help but say to Mu Ruona, "Back then, Mrs. Jiang disappeared the same way. We set up a perimeter and had people on night watch, but she vanished just like that—so mysteriously. President Mu, both Mrs. Jiang and Mrs. Yin are from the Yun family. Do you think it has something to do with the Yun family?"

His words reminded Mu Ruona, who immediately turned and walked into the tent, rummaged through her bag for a high-powered satellite phone, and called Jiang Yihai directly. "Tell me honestly, why did Yun Morong come to this place?"

Jiang Yihai was just as anxious on the other end. "Miss Mu? Is there news about Morong?"

"No, not only is there no news about her, now Cecilia is missing too," Mu Ruona replied simply. "The way she disappeared is exactly like Yun Morong! Jiang Yihai, answer my question first."

Jiang Yihai was so shocked by Mu Ruona's words that he gasped and nearly dropped the phone, his whole body trembling. "What did you say? How could this happen! Okay, I'll tell you! A few days ago, Morong bought a packet of tea leaves, supposedly the finest, never seen on the market. Morong is very knowledgeable about tea and was immediately intrigued, spending a lot of money to bring it home. Later, she told me the tea was magical—it could repair human genes. The most obvious effect was that after drinking this tea, the scars left on her body from tattoo removal miraculously disappeared!"

Mu Ruona's pupils contracted sharply. She seemed to have guessed something extraordinary.

Morong found it incredible. She was certain she hadn't taken any other medication or had any strange experiences, so the only thing that could have caused this effect was the tea. Morong began to experiment with the tea and was amazed to discover that it contained an element that could actually repair cell telomeres. In other words, it could make people younger and heal scars. This effect immediately made her think of Cecilia's body. You know, Cecilia's body has suffered so much, and even though she's recovered, some of her telomeres still carry damage memory.

"So, the reason Yun Morong came to this place was to find the tea and help heal Cecilia's body?" Mu Ruona squeezed her eyes shut—she should have guessed!

Yun Morong treasured Cecilia above all else, wishing she could give her every beautiful thing in the world.

So, once she discovered there was a tea in this world that could greatly heal Cecilia's body, even if it meant facing deadly danger, she would jump in without hesitation!

"Morong didn't want me to tell you because she didn't want you to worry," Jiang Yihai said regretfully. "It's all my fault—I underestimated the dangers of the jungle. I shouldn't have let her go alone! Where are you now? I'll be there in a day!"

"Mr. Jiang, forgive me for being blunt. Even if you come, you won't be much help," Mu Ruona said after thinking it over. "But you should still come! Charles Yin has lost his mind from worrying about Cecilia. Maybe you can talk some sense into him. Also, the disappearances of Yun Morong and Cecilia are probably not so simple. Both vanished suddenly and without a trace. Unless they left on their own, there shouldn't be zero evidence left behind!"

Jiang Yihai's heart sank. "I understand. I'm speeding up on my end."

After hanging up, Mu Ruona sat there in a daze for a long time before snapping out of it.

It was all her fault!

Cecilia had clearly told her she heard a mysterious song.

It must be that mysterious song causing trouble!

Otherwise, why was she the only one who heard it while everyone else couldn't?

What on earth is going on?

Seriously, how are us materialists supposed to survive this?

Heishan Jiro walked in from outside and saw Mu Ruona looking dejected and defeated. He carefully sat down beside her. "Don't worry too much."

Mu Ruona was about to lose her temper, but when she looked up and saw Heishan Jiro's aggrieved eyes, she couldn't bring herself to do it.

What's the point of getting angry at someone else?

Cecilia is still missing, isn't she?

"Nana, have you ever thought that everything we've encountered seems deliberately arranged?" Heishan Jiro, having overheard Mu Ruona's conversation with Jiang Yihai outside the tent, reminded her, "Don't you think all of this feels like a conspiracy?"

A conspiracy?

Mu Ruona instantly calmed down.

People who hold high positions for years know how to control their emotions well.

Mu Ruona closed her eyes and thought carefully. Combined with what Jiang Yihai had said, a cold sweat broke out on her back.

If someone really was orchestrating all this, how did they know Yun Nuo was actually Yun Morong?

How did they make sure Yun Morong got that packet of tea?

And how did they know Cecilia would come to the South Pacific?

How did they set up all of this?

At that moment, Cecilia, like a puppet, mechanically walked onto a patch of flat ground.

This patch of flat land was hidden deep within the jungle, vast and covered in lush grass.

A swarm of fireflies flew toward Cecilia, swirling around her and soon lifting her body, carrying her to a massive stone-carved platform.

On the platform, someone was already lying there—it was none other than Yun Morong, who had also gone missing.

Cecilia was placed beside Yun Morong. Both women slept peacefully, serene and beautiful.

The fireflies dispersed, and in the darkness, a tall, imposing figure emerged.

This person slowly turned around and looked at the two on the platform.

He uttered a string of strange, ancient syllables, then chuckled softly, switched languages, and muttered to himself, "Finally found you! So you were hiding here all along."

As soon as he finished speaking, the man stepped forward, raised his hand, and gently touched their cheeks. "Tsk tsk, two people sharing one soul—I've never seen anything like it. As long as... I obtain the power of your souls, I can live forever. Hahahahaha!"

Hot, so hot.

Cold, so cold.

Lying on the platform, Yun Morong and Cecilia opened their eyes at the same time—one cried out about the heat, the other about the cold, both sitting up simultaneously.

The next second, both of them sensed the other's presence and turned to look at each other. In the following moment, their faces lit up with surprise and they exclaimed in unison, "Sister! (Cecilia!)"

"How are you here?" they both cried out in unison again.

But before the sisters could reunite, they were terrified by their surroundings!

The darkness was lit up by torches and bonfires. On the flat ground beneath their feet, a group of people dressed in grass skirts and coarse linen tops were cheering and singing around them.

Men and women alike, each had strange symbols painted on their faces, making their bodies look almost ghostly.

They sang lyrics no one could understand, as if they were chanting some ritual.

"Sis, what's going on? Where are we? Why are we here?" Cecilia instinctively grabbed Yun Morong's hand, looking anxiously at her. "What are they going to do?"

Yun Morong was just as shocked. After a long moment, she finally said, "Cecilia, how's your body? Can you move?"

Cecilia nodded vigorously. "But can we really get out of here now?"
