This is as good as saying nothing!
How could it possibly get into its eyes!
It's so far away, how do we operate?
Ben couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Charles Yin spoke up at this moment: "You distract its attention, I'll give it a try!"
"No, President! You can't take this risk!" the group immediately shouted.
Charles Yin's expression was stern as he said, "Jiro and I once participated in a survival challenge and encountered a similar situation. Jiro is right, for a giant snake like this, the only weak spots are the eyes and the seven-inch point. But can any of you hit its seven-inch point? If not, then go for the eyes—they're much easier to target."
Snakes have a pair of bright eyes. Their eyes lack eyelids; instead, the upper and lower lids have fused into a transparent membrane that covers the eye. The eyes can't move, and the eyeballs are round, with either round or slit-shaped pupils. Venomous and nocturnal snakes usually have slit pupils; those active during the day have round pupils. Snakes are nearsighted, with poor long-distance vision. Nocturnal snakes have a pigment in their retinas and the back wall of their eyeballs, allowing them to see even in dim light, so they can move and hunt freely in darkness. During shedding, the transparent membrane over the eyes also peels off, making the membrane cloudy and vision unclear before shedding.
This Green Anaconda has just shed its skin, so the membrane over its eyes is freshly renewed!
Now its scales are tightly fitted—bullets can't penetrate, they just slide off the scales.
But the eyes don't have tightly fitted scales, just a thin membrane.
Maybe this is our chance!
"Give me the crossbow!" Charles Yin ordered sharply. "Jiro, hand me your strongest corrosive drug!"
"Yes!" The others sprang into action.
At this moment, the Green Anaconda's vision was still cloudy—it couldn't make out what these tiny creatures in front of it were doing, and it clumsily flicked its tongue.
Jiro Hirayama moved quickly and soon handed an injection to Charles Yin.
Charles Yin immediately broke off the tip of the injection, dipped the arrowhead into the poison, loaded it onto the crossbow, and aimed at the Green Anaconda's eye!
"Spread out! Distract it!" Charles Yin ordered in a low voice, telling them to cover his move.
The group immediately followed Charles Yin's instructions and dispersed.
Sure enough, their movements drew the Green Anaconda's attention.
