Noah Jadeflute

Quentin Drake was furious and in no mood to listen to reason. "Let them leave? My son, Noah, wants to join the Cloud Guild and become their live-in son-in-law? Where would that leave my reputation? Good and evil cannot coexist! If he refuses to leave that witch, then I will no longer acknowledge him as my son!"

Suddenly, Rong Qian trembled and whispered, "Ye... Ye'er..."

Liam Duanmu and Quentin Drake noticed Rong Qian's shock and turned to look at Noah. They saw Noah Duanmu holding the stunned Muriel Murong, surrounded by corpses.

Muriel Murong stared blankly at the bodies and murmured, "Rogue Night... you’re incredible..."

Quentin Drake, Liam Duanmu, and Rong Qian were all stunned. None of them understood how Noah had become so powerful—his usual image was deeply ingrained in their minds.

Morgan Shangguan arched an eyebrow, glancing at the jade flute in Noah’s hand, and chuckled, "So Noah Duanmu is the mysterious Noah Jadeflute!"

Noah Jadeflute kept a low profile, but was still somewhat famous in the martial world. His weapon was a jade flute, yet he killed without leaving a trace—never staining the flute with blood. He was always shrouded in mystery, occasionally appearing but never revealing his identity, acting alone. People thought the martial world was full of experts, and one person, no matter how skilled, couldn’t stir up much trouble. So no one ever bothered to pursue him relentlessly.

Damien Gray laughed softly, "Are you pleased that the Cloud Guild has gained another expert?"

Morgan Shangguan raised her brows, "If I could poach a master from the Ghost Guild, I’d be even happier!"

Damien Gray replied nonchalantly, "Then should I send two people to follow you?"

Morgan Shangguan eyed him suspiciously and asked, "Are you sure you’re not sending two people to spy on me?"

Damien Gray lowered his head and kissed her lips, amused. "If I wanted to keep an eye on you, I could do it myself!"

"Guildmaster..."

Morgan Shangguan turned to the person behind her and ordered, "Claude Yun, take them back to the Cloud Guild. And give Quentin Drake a lesson—not too harsh! After all, he’s still Noah’s father. Since I’ve acknowledged Noah, I should show him some respect."

"Yes!"

Damien Gray wrapped his arm around her waist and said, "Can we go back now?"

Morgan Shangguan’s eyes flickered, and she nodded.

Damien Gray frowned. He used to be able to read Morgan Shangguan easily, but now that she let the two little mischief-makers in her belly run wild, he truly couldn’t guess what she was up to!

Once they returned to the Ghost King's Manor, Damien Gray finally understood her intentions!

"Damien, since it’s already morning, why don’t we have breakfast before resting?"

"Alright." Damien Gray would never let her go hungry.

Breakfast was quickly served. As Morgan Shangguan ate, she asked, "Where are Ethan Gu and Maxwell Jing?"

Damien Gray raised an eyebrow. "They’re probably resting. Do you need something from them?" Apparently, when they went out last night, Ethan and Maxwell had just returned, so they should still be sleeping—and Morgan was the reason for that!

Morgan Shangguan nodded, "Yes, I have something to discuss with them."

So Damien had no choice but to have someone drag the two unfortunate souls out of bed. Maxwell Jing yawned and asked weakly, "Princess Consort, what do you need? I need sleep! At this rate, I’ll lose my life!"

Morgan Shangguan smiled faintly. "It’s nothing serious—I just want to see you two perform a little mutual destruction!"

"What?" Maxwell Jing pointed incredulously at himself, then at Ethan Gu. She dragged them out of bed just to make them fight each other?

Damien Gray rubbed his temples, watching Morgan Shangguan’s eager expression. He was torn between laughter and exasperation.

Morgan Shangguan spread her hands and said innocently, "What can I say? Your son is obsessed with martial arts. He takes after you—not my fault!"

Ethan Gu frowned. Son? He didn’t think much of it and simply shoved a pill into Maxwell Jing’s mouth. "Let’s fight! The sooner we’re done, the sooner we can rest!"

Maxwell Jing twitched his lips. "Ethan Gu, you gave me this stuff—I won’t be sleeping tomorrow night!"

Ethan Gu smirked. "That’s perfect! If you can’t sleep, you can do other things!"

"Perfect, my foot! You’re just selfish!" Maxwell Jing threw a punch as he spoke.

Ethan Gu dodged to the side and raised an eyebrow. "I’ll stay up with you—how is that selfish?"

Maxwell Jing kicked at him, gritting his teeth. "Don’t make me give you an aphrodisiac!"

Ethan Gu laughed. "I don’t think I need that!"

Maxwell Jing sneered. "You definitely need it—especially the kind that makes your whole body go weak!"

Morgan Shangguan took a sip of porridge and said calmly, "Don’t corrupt the children!"

Susie Yun walked in as usual, carrying tea, and was startled by the fighting. Ryan Ouyang quickly shielded her, afraid she’d get hurt. Susie placed the tea in front of Morgan Shangguan, glanced at the two men locked in battle, and asked, "What’s going on with them? Aren’t they usually close?"

Morgan Shangguan glanced at Maxwell Jing and Ethan Gu and said coolly, "It’s nothing. They’re just debating who’s the top and who’s the bottom!"

At her words, Maxwell Jing slipped, but Ethan Gu caught him in time. Maxwell Jing looked speechlessly at Morgan Shangguan—wasn’t she the one who wanted them to fight? Didn’t she say not to corrupt the children? What was she playing at now?

Damien Gray shook his head helplessly. "You two go rest now!"

"No way!" Morgan Shangguan frowned. "The baby still wants to watch!"

Damien Gray narrowed his eyes at her, suspicious. "Mo’er, are you trying to keep them occupied so you can deal with the Ghost Guild?" Normally, Morgan wouldn’t do such a thing, but her demeanor made him wonder!

Morgan Shangguan smiled. "I prefer to beat you fair and square! But the baby says, a win is a win, a loss is a loss—so there’s no need to worry about the means!"
