Tender Affection
Sean Hayes unleashed his ultimate move, never failing to work. Simon Yu instantly deflated like a punctured balloon, stopped struggling, and shot Sean Hayes several dejected, fierce glares.
Feeling smug, Sean Hayes turned to the stunned Eugene Warren beside him, "Eugene, did you see that? That's exactly how you handle him! Learn from me—face isn't everything, your wife and kids matter more, right?"
Eugene Warren stroked his chin and nodded, "Makes perfect sense!"
Simon Yu, utterly speechless, was dragged away by Sean Hayes to check Belle's pulse.
Eugene Warren watched nervously from the side, his anxiety showing.
Simon Yu closed his eyes, feeling Belle's pulse, his head bobbing as he spoke, "Miss Belle's pulse is steady and strong. The baby is healthy—no major issues, and no need for any medication to stabilize the pregnancy. Just be careful not to overwork yourself. After all, you're expecting, so you must take care."
"That's wonderful!" Eugene Warren let out a sigh of relief, tightly grasping Belle's hand. Their fingers interlocked, gazes met, and the air was thick with tenderness and affection. Watching this, Simon Yu—the only single dog present—felt like he'd taken ten thousand points of emotional damage.
"Belle is pregnant, and all this back-and-forth every day must be exhausting. As for her work, I'll delegate some of it to others," Lily Evans said.
Belle immediately replied, "Princess, April has been training with me these days. She may not be able to handle everything on her own just yet, but she can definitely take on some important tasks."
Lily Evans understood that Belle, as an older sister, wanted to secure a bright future for April, so she supported the recommendation.
As Belle's younger sister, April might not be as capable as Belle just yet, but she's already gained a good deal of experience. She can help Belle with some of her work, and once April matures a bit more, she'll be able to handle things on her own. When that time comes, Lily Evans will entrust her with new business opportunities.
"Alright, let April help you out. You two sisters working together—you're comfortable with each other, and I feel more at ease too," Lily Evans agreed, then turned to Eugene Warren, "Eugene, I'm thinking Belle should temporarily move into the manor. That way, she won't have to commute every day."
Eugene Warren nodded eagerly, "Yes, yes, that's definitely best."
Belle blushed and said, "Eugene, let's discuss it with our parents first before giving the Princess a reply."
Eugene Warren looked at Belle, smiling indulgently. "Leave our parents to me. You're already busy enough managing business with the Princess—how could I let you worry about home too? That would make me a pretty lousy husband. Now that you're expecting, you're the most important person in the family. If we can save you some travel, our parents will surely agree. I'll move in with you to take care of you. Our parents have servants to help them, and they're close by. If needed, I can run back and forth; I'm a man, a little extra work is nothing. But I can't let my wife get worn out."
Belle nodded with a gentle smile, "Alright, I'll listen to my husband."
Watching the loving couple, Simon Yu—single as ever—shivered, feeling his teeth ache from all the sweetness.
Sean Hayes glanced at Simon Yu and chuckled, "Simon, what's with that face? Are you jealous of their wedded bliss? If you're so envious, just go find a girl and get married! Tsk tsk, you bachelors have no idea how lucky us married men are to have a wife doting on us."
