As Black as the Bottom of a Pot

Eugene Jr. left the house and walked for a while before realizing, in his excitement, that he didn't actually know who Simon Yu was.

Just as Eugene Jr. was feeling troubled, he spotted Sean Hayes in the courtyard and immediately felt like he'd found his savior.

Eugene Jr. hurried over to Sean Hayes and told him what had happened.

Sean Hayes listened and let out a dramatic 'Oh!' His eyebrows danced as he patted Eugene Jr. on the shoulder. "Eugene Warren, look at you! Your wife got pregnant so quickly!"

Eugene Jr. grinned, absolutely beaming with pride. "Of course!"

"Eugene Warren, that's impressive!" Sean Hayes gave him a big thumbs-up. "You hit the mark so fast! Well done!"

"Heh, not as fast as you! You're the real champ!" Eugene Jr. looked smug but still made sure to flatter Sean Hayes.

Sean Hayes was thoroughly pleased by this. He may have been the last to get married, but his wife was the first to get pregnant. It was a great bragging point—Sean Hayes was really something!

"Eugene Jr., I'll go with you. I'll help you find Simon Yu and drag him here to check Belle's pulse!" Sean Hayes thumped his chest. "I'm tight with Simon Yu—others can't get him, but if I call, he'll come running!"

"Great, I'll leave it to you, Sean!" Eugene Jr. and Sean Hayes suddenly felt like best buddies, walking arm in arm as they set off together.
