Evan Lin popped out so abruptly that Luna instantly turned away, her cheeks flushed. This guy was always so reckless—if everyone hadn’t left yet, he’d really have made a fool of himself.
"Boss, you’re finally out! We’ve waited so long even the flowers have wilted. But you could at least put some clothes on before coming out—don’t you know how embarrassing this is?" Goldwing laughed.
Evan’s face went hot in an instant. He glanced down and realized he was totally naked. In a flash, he grabbed clothes from his storage ring and dressed as fast as he could. No wonder Luna had turned away so quickly.
After taking in the surroundings, Evan asked, "Where exactly are we? And how long have you guys been waiting for me?"
Luna finally turned back, her face still crimson. She shot Evan a glare and said, "This is Skyshade Hall, but you wrecked it so badly it’s barely recognizable. You’re a real celebrity now—killed Hector Vaughn and wiped out Skyshade Hall. Pretty impressive, huh?"
Evan stared at the towering mountain in front of him, still a bit shocked. He knew he’d destroyed Skyshade Hall with his Star-Cleave, leveling everything in one blow. But this huge mountain was weird—the only explanation was that the final tribulation lightning strike had created it.
"I’m just glad you’re all safe. There aren’t many left in the Immortal Realm who can beat me now. I’ve reached late-stage Immortal Lord Realm—it’s about time to take everyone on a tour of the Immortal Realm!" Evan grinned.
With Goldwing and Shadow here, Evan managed to control himself around Luna. Now, no one could stop him from being with her—there was no need to rush things.
Luna took out two jade slips, infused them with Immortal force, and tossed them into the air. "Evan, Lara Luo from Dream Spirit Sanctuary said you need to head over there as soon as you come out. She’s got something super important to discuss with you."
"Who else are you messaging?" Evan asked.
"Martial Spirit Dominion and Loveless Sword Tomb. They told me to notify them the moment you reappeared. You’re one of the Immortal Realm’s top dogs now—of course they want to cozy up to you. Feeling a little full of yourself yet?" Luna teased.
"Don’t say that! You’re making me blush!" Evan laughed.
All three shot him a look and chimed in, "Pfft! You really do have a thick skin!"
Suddenly, two powerful energy ripples appeared overhead. Nolan Nangong and Qin Xiaojiao descended from the sky in a flash, landing right in front of Evan.
The two of them sized Evan up carefully. Nolan said, "Evan, you’re really something else. So many secrets up your sleeve, and your strength is just unbelievable. I’m glad I never became your enemy—otherwise I wouldn’t even know how I died. Surviving that insane lightning tribulation? You’re a total freak."
"You’re too kind, Domain Lord. I could never be your match. Besides, I always repay kindness. If someone treats me well, I’ll remember it forever. If they kick me when I’m down, I’ll pay them back double. Both of you have helped me out—if you ever need me, I’ll never refuse." Evan said sincerely.
"Good, very good! We really didn’t misjudge you. You’re one of the Immortal Realm’s top experts now. So, what are your plans? I was thinking of inviting you to join Martial Spirit Dominion and handing it over to you when I ascend to the God Realm, but now I realize I was underestimating you." Nolan said.
"I truly appreciate your offer, Domain Lord. I’m planning to found a new sect soon—Frostbane Imperial Palace. Haven’t picked a location yet, but I’ll definitely need your help when the time comes." Evan grinned.
"No need to stand on ceremony, Evan. We’re friends, so of course we help each other. The Immortal Realm’s peaceful for now, but when the seals of the Immortal Beasts’ world and the Domain World open, we’ll really need your strength." Qin Xiaojiao said.
Evan was a little stunned. He glanced at the two and asked, "What’s going on with the Immortal Beasts and the Domain World?"
"Immortal Beasts are basically the Beast Clan of the Immortal Realm—crazy strong. Every thousand years, a seal opens and huge numbers of Immortal Beasts pour in through certain entrances, slaughtering Immortals and wrecking everything in sight. It’s always been like this, but the Immortal Realm has survived every time.
Last time, the battle cost several Immortal Emperors their lives just to drive the beasts back. But the Immortal Realm is a lot weaker now. There are six Great Powers, but that’s just what you see on the surface.
The Immortal Realm is way bigger than you can imagine. Even the Six Great Powers are just the tip of the iceberg. Back then, the Immortal Emperors who showed up were all late-stage—people we’ve never even seen, let alone met.
But whenever the Immortal Beasts erupt, mysterious, super-powerful experts appear out of nowhere, like guardians keeping the peace. When the beast tide ends, they vanish without a trace," Qin Xiaojiao explained.
Evan guessed it might be some hidden sects behind all this. "So what about the Domain World? Is it full of Immortal Beasts too?"
"Domain World is just our nickname for it—the real name’s the Demon Realm. Its barrier only opens once every hundred thousand years, and there’s still about three thousand years to go. The people there are terrifying—late-stage Immortal Emperors are everywhere.
Back in the last war, I was only early-stage Immortal Lord Realm. The invaders were massive—way bigger than normal Immortals—and each one had the strength of ten thousand men, totally savage.
They tried to take the Immortal Realm for themselves, but failed. Still, that war cost us over thirty Immortal Emperors, hundreds of Immortal Lords, and thousands of Ninth-Heaven Arch-Immortals.
As for regular Immortals—Heaven Immortals, Golden Immortals—there were countless casualties. Now, all six Great Powers combined barely have a little over twenty Immortal Emperors. The situation’s not looking good," Nolan said.
Evan was speechless. So the Immortal Realm was anything but peaceful—one disaster after another. Still, there’s plenty of time to prepare, so he said, "We’ve got enough time to get ready. Don’t worry too much."
"There are only three hundred years until the Immortal Beasts erupt again. That’s really not much time—we’d better start preparing early," Nolan said.
"Evan, don’t forget Lara Luo wants you to visit Dream Spirit Sanctuary. I think we should all go together—if anything comes up, we can talk it out, since Dream Spirit Sanctuary is a major power too," Luna said.
The group exchanged glances, then decided to head to Dream Spirit Sanctuary. Evan had Goldwing shift into his true form, and everyone hopped onto his back, soaring away in an instant...
