Frostbane Divine Palace

Luna, Nolan Nangong, and the others had been waiting here for a full half month, but still hadn't seen Evan Chu emerge from beneath the earth. Everyone was starting to feel anxious.

"Everyone should disperse for now. Linfeng may have been knocked unconscious by the overwhelming power of the lightning. Once he wakes up, he'll naturally dig his way out. We all have things to do—let's not waste time waiting here." Nolan Nangong said.

The destruction of Xuantian Pavilion and the death of Shangguan Ruhuo had left an indelible mark on everyone’s hearts. The power of Xuantian Pavilion was basically wiped out in this incident, and Shangguan Luoyang also met his end under Evan Chu’s Divine Cleave.

Luna felt a touch of regret over his death. After all, he had treated her so well. If she could, she would have asked Evan Chu to spare him and let him live out his days in obscurity. But now, all she could do was hope he might reincarnate soon.

Many people left, and now only Nolan Nangong, Qin Xiaojiao, and a woman from Dream Spirit Sanctuary remained. This woman hadn’t said a single word the whole time, nor had she left, which struck everyone as odd.

She was Lynn Ling's junior martial sister, an early-stage Immortal Emperor. Because of Lynn Ling, she had come to attend Shangguan Luoyang’s wedding. "Fairy Luoxia, why don’t you return to Dream Spirit Sanctuary?" Nolan Nangong asked.

After a long moment, she finally spoke: "I want to see if he comes out. I have something important to discuss with him, so I have to stay."

Luna glanced at her. Fairy Luoxia was famously low-key in the Immortal Realm, rarely showing her face, and few knew her true strength. The fact that she had urgent business with Evan Chu was genuinely strange.

"What do you need from him? If Dream Spirit Sanctuary has urgent matters, you can go back first. If Linfeng comes out, I can pass the message along. I’m sure he’ll head to Dream Spirit Sanctuary right away—after all, three of his women are there." Luna said.

Fairy Luoxia hesitated for a moment before saying, "If that’s the case, then I’ll take my leave. I hope Linfeng comes to Dream Spirit Sanctuary as soon as he emerges—someone is waiting for him there." With that, she vanished in a flash, leaving everyone puzzled.

"Domain Lord Nolan, you’ll be leaving too, right? I’ll stay here with Shadow and Old Goldwing to wait for Linfeng. My father wants you to return to Martial Spirit Dominion, and I hope you can send people to garrison Solarion Palace. When Linfeng comes out, I want him to personally restore the palace." Luna said.

"That’s easy. I’ll send two Immortal Emperors over as soon as I get back. If Linfeng appears, notify me immediately!" Nolan Nangong took out a red jade token with obvious energy fluctuations—it was a special communication jade.

Qin Xiaojiao also handed Luna a jade token, meaning much the same—she wanted to be notified too. This jade was also a teleportation token, able to instantly bring her over. Its value was on par with a supreme treasure or an Immortal artifact.

With everyone gone, only Shadow, Goldwing, and Luna were left. Both beasts had taken human form, quietly waiting with Luna on the hillside for Evan Chu to appear.

Days passed, and after half a year, Evan Chu still hadn’t shown up. The three grew more and more anxious. Still, news of Evan’s annihilation of Xuantian Pavilion, the slaying of Shangguan Ruhuo, and his killing of Zhang Liuguang had spread throughout the Immortal Realm.

Zane Zuo was so furious he was practically jumping, but there was nothing he could do. Evan Chu’s strength was overwhelming, his identity special, and with Nolan Nangong and Qin Xiaojiao backing him, Zane could only grit his teeth and swallow his anger.

At that moment, buried deep underground, Evan Chu was completely unaware of what was happening outside. His body was slowly recovering—the final bolt of tribulation had blasted him down to just his Immortal Infant, and all his time now was spent rebuilding his body, just like when he’d restored himself in the spatial black hole after Shangguan Luoyang’s incident.

The power of the five elements wrapped him up, forming a giant cocoon. Only after more than half a year did he fully recover. This was the second time he’d experienced dying and coming back to life. When the lightning struck, he’d felt utterly powerless, so tiny in the face of that force.

Evan Chu still hadn’t opened his eyes. The Frostbane Sword lay quietly beside him, completely still. The sword’s radiance had vanished, leaving it looking like an ordinary longsword.

But in Evan Chu’s mind, new information about the Frostbane Sword surfaced. He remembered how Xander Xuan’s Solarion Sword had flown straight into the Frostbane Sword, which instantly became a gigantic longsword with a missing notch in its blade—only for the Solarion Sword to slot perfectly into that gap.

Evan Chu remembered all this vividly. It was precisely because of this that the Frostbane Sword had become the Frostbane Divine Sword, and the information in his mind was about this new divine weapon.

The Frostbane Divine Sword had originally been the personal sword of Lord Frostbane, Palace Lord of Frostbane Divine Palace in the God Realm. In a great war against an enemy faction, the sword was struck by a divine artifact and a portion of its blade was sheared off, transforming into a meteorite and vanishing.

That meteorite somehow found its way to the lower realm, where it was discovered by the Human sovereign Emperor Adrian Xuan. He had it refined and forged into a peerless divine weapon, naming it the Solarion Sword after his own surname.

After ascending to the Immortal Realm, Adrian Xuan left the Solarion Sword in Solarion Palace. No one knows where Adrian Xuan went after that; it was so long ago that it’s lost to history.

As for why the Frostbane Sword ended up in the hands of 'Qing Shuang' in the lower realm, Evan Chu’s knowledge was vague—he only knew it was related to Lord Frostbane. But one thing was certain: he was the reincarnation of Lord Frostbane. Or rather, he was Lord Frostbane himself, and the drop of essence blood in his body was his own.

Being forced to reincarnate could only mean a catastrophe—some disaster so great that he had no choice but to abandon his body and start over. Evan Chu felt the weight of his mission grow heavier. There was Frostbane Sect in the lower realm, Frostbane Divine Palace in the God Realm, but nothing bearing the Frostbane name in the Immortal Realm.

He resolved that once he got out, he would establish Frostbane Imperial Palace in the Immortal Realm, directly taking the place of Xuantian Pavilion. In the future, those who ascended could join Frostbane Imperial Palace and be properly looked after.

Evan Chu slowly opened his eyes and glanced at the swirling five-element energy around him. With a thought, he absorbed it all. Now, he’d broken through to late-stage Immortal Lord Realm. In the Immortal Realm, there was likely no one who could match him—except maybe Immortal Emperors on the verge of God Tribulation.

He activated Earthshift, and after a few breaths, appeared on the surface. The three waiting for him stared as if he were a monster. Luna’s face flushed bright red—Evan had forgotten one thing: after regaining his body, he hadn’t put on any clothes. That rod-shaped part of him was standing tall and glaring at all three of them…
