Similarly, the same situation occurred in both the Jiang and Sun families. Since Jason Chen and the other two were direct descendants in their respective clans, the matter was quickly reported to the family heads.
Tian Clan.
Upon receiving the news, the Tian Clan head, Long Tian, was momentarily stunned. Someone actually dared to target a Tian scion—was it because the clan had kept too low a profile these years?
"Someone, go check on Jason's whereabouts for me."
With the Tian Clan's influence, investigating someone's movements was extremely efficient. Soon, the subordinate sent to check on Jason returned and reported: "Clan Head, Young Master Jason went to Mesa City on Planet Natura today with Jerry Jiang from the Jiang Clan and Tom Sun from the Sun family."
Long Tian's mind stirred, and he dialed Jiang Clan head Lian Jiang: "Old Jiang, let me ask you—your Jerry isn't in trouble, is he?"
"Jerry's soul pendant shattered. I fear the worst!" Lian Jiang replied in a deep voice, anger thick in his tone.
Long Tian said hatefully, "My second brother's son Jason's soul pendant is also broken. I just sent someone to investigate—they went to Mesa City on Planet Natura together with Tom Sun from the Sun family. I'll call Old Sun now and see if Tom is safe."
After hanging up, Long Tian was about to call Sun family head Hong Sun, but unexpectedly Hong Sun called first: "Old Tian, something's happened to my Tom Sun. My investigation shows he was with your Jason. Is Jason all right?"
"Jason's soul pendant is shattered, and so is Jerry's!" Long Tian said, enunciating every word.
"Who could be so bold, daring to move against heirs of all three families at once?" Hong Sun roared. "If I ever find out who did it, I'll skin him alive!"
"Don't rush. Samuel Tian is stationed on Planet Natura. I'll contact him first and ask what's going on."
Soon, Long Tian got in touch with Samuel.
Long Tian asked gravely, "Fifth Brother, do you know anything about Jason's situation?"
"He was arrested by Mesa City's Special Police. I've already sent Titus Lou to handle it. What's the matter—has this minor incident actually alarmed you, Big Brother?" Samuel replied, sounding rather relaxed.
Long Tian's tone grew more irritated: "Jason's soul pendant is shattered! And not just him—Jerry and Tom's soul pendants are broken too!"
"That's impossible!" Samuel was shocked. "How could anyone in a small city like Mesa possibly harm them? Besides, Titus Lou should have arrived already. With him there, even War God-level experts couldn't threaten those three."
Long Tian thought for a moment and said, "Call Titus Lou right now and ask what happened. If necessary, go in person yourself!"
Mesa City Special Police base, inside the jail.
A phone rang. Titus Lou took it out and saw it was Samuel Tian calling.
"Master, it's Samuel Tian calling. Should I answer or not?"
Ian Song's mind stirred. As the saying goes, 'the mountains are high and the emperor is far away'—Samuel controlled all military power on Planet Natura. If he could seize Samuel, even the Tian Clan would be powerless to stop him.
With that thought, Ian quickly gave Titus Lou instructions.
Then Titus Lou picked up the call: "Commander, hello! It's Titus."
"Titus, let me ask you—have you arrived in Mesa City yet?" Samuel asked, his tone unfriendly.
"I've already arrived!"
"And how are Jason and the others?" Samuel pressed.
"Uh... uh..." Titus stammered.
"What is it? Spit it out!" Samuel urged impatiently.
Titus said nervously, "Commander, it's my fault—I failed to protect Young Master Jason and the others. They were just attacked by resistance fighters and have fallen into deep comas!"
"Idiot! How could you let this happen?" Samuel Tian shouted angrily.
"It's all my fault, Commander. Please punish me as you see fit!" Titus Lou volunteered, admitting guilt.
"Hmph! Where are they right now?" Samuel pressed again.
"I'm preparing to take them to the Aries District military hospital for treatment!" Titus replied.
"Send them directly to the Imperial Command District. And do it at top speed!"
"Yes, sir!"
After hanging up, Titus Lou asked Ian, "Master, should we really send all three to the Imperial Command District now?"
"Of course we should!"
Ian smiled. It was just like someone delivering him a pillow when he was about to fall asleep. Given the current situation, with Jason, Jerry, and Tom "unconscious," Samuel Tian would almost certainly show up in person. Once he did, Ian could enslave him too.
Outside the jail, Guard Regiment troopers, Gordon Gao, and Victor Liang were all waiting anxiously.
Suddenly, Titus Lou's voice came through the Guard Regiment troopers' communicators: "Three of you, come inside."
Three troopers obeyed and entered. After a while, each emerged carrying someone on their back.
"Commander Lou, what happened to Young Master Tian and the others?"
Titus Lou shot him a cold look. "Don't ask questions you shouldn't."
"Yes, sir!"
Victor Liang's expression froze.
"Let's go—to the Imperial Command District!"
Moments later, military vehicles shot skyward, racing toward the Imperial Command District.
At the Ninth Military Hospital in the Imperial Command District, lockdown had already been imposed ten minutes earlier.
At the same time, the hospital's best doctors dropped everything and went on standby.
Vroom vroom.
A roar echoed from the sky as military vehicles descended, landing in front of the hospital.
One of the vehicles opened and Titus Lou quickly stepped out, striding over to Samuel Tian and saluting: "Commander!"
Titus knew that, given his rank, Samuel Tian would never wait outside the hospital entrance for him.
Sure enough, Samuel Tian asked coldly, "Where are they?"
"They're all in the vehicles!" Titus replied.
"Move out—now!"
"Yes, sir!"
As soon as Samuel gave the order, the medical staff behind him sprang into action, quickly carrying Jason, Jerry, and Tom out of the vehicles and into the emergency room.
Outside the emergency room.
Samuel Tian waited grimly. After a while, a gray-haired middle-aged man came out of the emergency room, approached Samuel, and whispered, "Commander, all three have extremely powerful spiritual prohibitions placed in their minds. With my strength, I can't break them!"
"You're a Four-Star Psychic Adept and you still can't break them?" Samuel asked in surprise.
The doctor nodded. "Yes! The spiritual prohibitions in their minds are incredibly intricate—unlike anything I've ever seen. Aside from the person who set them, even a typical Five-Star Psychic Adept might struggle to undo them!"
Hearing this, Samuel's expression grew even heavier. "Are you certain?"
The doctor nodded again.
With this confirmation, Samuel's heart sank. Five-Star Psychic Adepts were extremely rare—even in the Tian Clan, one of the Federation Empire's three great families, there were only three or five such experts.
Now, if even an ordinary Five-Star Psychic Adept couldn't break the spiritual bans on Jason and the others, just how powerful was their enemy?
