Eleventh Natural Planet, B War Zone, Southlight City, inside a luxurious villa.
Ethan Jiang was flirting with a stunningly beautiful woman when, suddenly, a hazy phantom appeared in the room.
The phantom figure knelt on the ground and respectfully said, "Your Highness, Jiang One has been brought back. However, his System was stripped away by someone."
Ethan Jiang raised his eyebrows slightly, a flash of killing intent passing through his narrow eyes. "Bring him in to see me," he said.
"Yes, sir!"
Soon, Jiang Two was brought in.
Thud!
Jiang Two knelt on the floor, his face pale. "Your Highness, I have failed you and deserve a thousand deaths!" he said.
"You certainly deserve to die! But the person who stripped your System deserves it even more. Tell me, who took your System?" Ethan Jiang said coldly.
"Your Highness, I don't know who it was!" Jiang Two said bitterly. "I was in the middle of capturing another System Host when that person ambushed me and stripped my System!"
"Useless!"
Ethan Jiang kicked out, sending Jiang Two flying and crashing hard to the ground.
Jiang Two scrambled up and kowtowed desperately. "Please spare me, Your Highness! Please spare me!"
"Don't you have Star-Fate Divination? Why don't you know who it was?" Ethan Jiang sneered. "Or have you already betrayed me?"
"Your Highness, please judge fairly—how would I dare betray you!" Jiang Two blurted out, but his heart was pounding. If Ethan Jiang found out he'd already betrayed him, he'd be dead for sure.
"Whether you've betrayed me isn't for you to decide. Someone, bring Jiang Nine to see me!"
"Yes, sir!"
The phantom figure vanished.
Ethan Jiang seemed to be talking to himself, or maybe to Jiang Two. "Jiang Nine was captured by me after you left. She has a divine ability called 'Time-Trace Reversal.' As long as she uses it, we'll see exactly who stripped you of your System!"
Jiang Two shuddered inside when he heard this, but forced himself to say, "That would be for the best—I'd like nothing more than to find out who took my System!"
"Is that so?"
Ethan Jiang's eyes glinted with amusement.
Soon, a young woman in a bright green robe, holding a jeweled magic staff, walked in and bowed to Ethan Jiang. "Jiang Nine greets Your Highness."
Ethan Jiang said lazily, "Jiang Nine, Jiang Two's System was stripped away, but he doesn't know who did it. Use Time-Trace Reversal on him and let's see who dared to touch my people!"
"Yes, Your Highness!"
Jiang Nine nodded, then began chanting an incantation. She pointed her staff at Jiang Two, and images started to appear above his head.
These images started from yesterday.
Time kept rewinding. Finally, the scene showed Jiang Two trapping Gavin Xu inside a barrier. Then, a handsome man suddenly broke into the barrier...
The images faded, and Jiang Nine looked a little pale.
Ethan Jiang's gaze toward Jiang Two grew even colder. "Jiang Two, if you tell me where that person is, I might just let you live!"
"Just kill me!"
Jiang Two said, his face deathly pale.
"What? You'd rather die than tell me? That person is your enemy—he stripped your System!" Ethan Jiang said angrily.
"Heh, no need to say more—just kill me!"
Jiang Two gave a bitter laugh. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk—he had a Puppet Mastery Sigil in his mind. If he even thought about betraying his master, the sigil would explode and kill him instantly.
Suddenly, Ethan Jiang clapped and burst out laughing. "Interesting! He stripped your System, yet you're still loyal to him. Fine, I won't kill you—I'll wait until I catch that guy, then I'll take my time dealing with you!"
"Thank you for sparing me, Your Highness," Jiang Two said calmly.
Soon, Jiang Two was led away, and the phantom figure appeared again.
"Jiang One, go to the Homeworld. You must find that guy! Oh, and the kid Jiang Two was chasing might know something—try to get some clues from him!"
"Yes, sir!"
The phantom nodded, then drifted away.
Tenth Natural Planet, outside the emergency room of the Ninth Military Hospital.
After hearing his subordinate Han Xing, a Four-Star Psychic Adept, speculate, Samuel Tian decided to call Lou Tianjun over to ask about the situation in detail.
The director's office became Samuel Tian's temporary headquarters.
Knock knock!
Lou Tianjun entered after knocking, then bowed respectfully to Samuel Tian, who was seated. "Greetings, Commander."
"No need for formalities. Tell me exactly what happened today!"
"I don't think there's any need to explain."
A sudden voice rang out, and in a flash, a handsome young man appeared in the office.
Appeared out of thin air?
Teleportation?
Samuel Tian and the two people behind him were all startled.
"Are you the one who attacked us?"
Samuel Tian was truly the top military commander of an entire planet. He quickly regained his composure and looked at Ian Song, asking.
"Nope!" Ian Song smiled and shook his head. "I'm not the attacker—they were more than happy to let me knock them out!"
Suddenly, Ian Song glanced at the middle-aged man with graying hair standing behind Samuel Tian.
"Pfft!"
With just a glance, the man spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Old Han, what happened to you?" Samuel Tian asked in surprise.
"Commander, I tried to hypnotize him, but instead of succeeding, I suffered a backlash!" Han Xing said with a bitter smile.
Samuel Tian was shocked. Han Xing was a Four-Star Psychic Adept at the peak of his craft—he'd soon break through to Five-Star. When he tried to hypnotize someone, even a War God would struggle to resist. Yet now, not only did he fail, but he suffered backlash and spat blood. It was clear just how powerful this young man's mental strength was.
"Kill!"
At that moment, the other man standing behind Samuel Tian shouted and threw a punch at Ian Song.
"Foolish!"
Ian Song sneered, flicked his finger, and the force struck the man's dantian as if teleporting. The man grunted, crashed to the ground, convulsing and unable to get up.
Seeing this, Samuel Tian narrowed his eyes. Han Xing was a Four-Star Psychic Adept at the peak, and the other man was a Seventh-Tier War God expert.
Han Xing suffered backlash, and this stranger defeated a Seventh-Tier War God in one move.
What kind of monster was this, able to cultivate both mental power and martial arts to such a terrifying level?
"Well? Do you want to try your luck too?" Ian Song looked at Samuel Tian and asked.
"No need!" Samuel Tian shook his head. "I may be an Eighth-Tier War God, but you defeated a Seventh-Tier War God in a single move. Clearly, your cultivation surpasses mine. Knowing I'd lose, there's no point in fighting."
"You're refreshingly straightforward," Ian Song said with a smile.
"So, what's your purpose here?" Samuel Tian asked.
"You'll know soon enough!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ian Song stepped forward and tapped Samuel Tian between the eyebrows.
