"Let go, Luna! Of course I'm serious. You dare disrespect your prince—are you itching for a beating?" Evan Chu deliberately let his gaze linger on Luna Chu's impressive chest as he spoke.
Luna Chu caught Evan Chu's shameless stare and snapped, "So what if you're a prince? You're still my little cousin! It's only right for an older sister to keep her little brother in line."
After saying this, Luna Chu deliberately stomped on Evan Chu's foot, then walked off satisfied, leaving Evan speechless.
Skylar Yule then took out a golden command token from his storage ring and said, "Since our return was unplanned, we didn't bring any guards or attendants. This is my prince's token—if anyone doubts my identity, they can check it for themselves."
With Skylar Yule's words, even those who doubted before didn't dare come forward. Titus Sima smiled and said, "Second Prince, you flatter me. I wouldn't dare ask you to reclaim your token. I'll go prepare food and drinks to welcome everyone!"
Titus Sima immediately left the hall. With such important guests arriving at his estate, he had to personally oversee the meal—there couldn't be any mistakes.
Inside, he was overjoyed—especially at Evan Chu calling him 'father-in-law.' The thought that Jenny Sima had really become Evan's woman made his heart soar. The Sima family was finally on the rise.
Just then, Luna Chu walked up to Skylar Yule, looked him over carefully, and asked, "So you're the Second Prince? Are you going to be emperor someday?"
Victor Chu was so startled by her words that he nearly panicked. "Luna, that's enough! Apologize to the Second Prince right now!"
Skylar Yule just laughed. "It's fine, Uncle. Since she's Evan's older cousin, though she looks younger than me, that makes her my little sister too. You know, Evan's now my sworn younger brother and the Emperor's adopted son—so Luna counts as royal family now."
Victor Chu felt that, in his whole life, only learning the truth about Evan Chu's mother had shocked him more than today. He just couldn't understand how Evan, after a year at Heavenly Dragon Academy, had come back with such status—Grand Protector-General, Prince Valiant... it was unbelievable.
Luna Chu grinned, "Heh, looks like your big sister gets to bask in your glory too! Not bad, not bad! Good thing I always spoiled you!"
Luna Chu was always strikingly beautiful, but she never paid much attention to romance. Matchmakers had come to the Chu estate several times, but she always turned them down.
But today, she suddenly found herself unusually interested in the dashing Skylar Yule—otherwise she wouldn't have blurted out such bold questions.
"Evan, how did you become Grand Protector-General? What happened to you this past year?" Victor Chu asked.
Evan Chu gave a brief rundown of his time at Heavenly Dragon Academy and his battles on the front lines. Victor Chu, Luna Chu, and Ryan Chu listened, stunned by every word.
"Second Brother, you must have a house in the capital, right? I'm moving in with you—there's no future in this backwater place," Ryan Chu laughed.
"Go for it! Our whole family is moving to the capital. I want everyone who ever looked down on the Chu clan to see how far we've come—and make them regret it!" Evan Chu declared.
As he spoke, Evan suddenly remembered Sophia Lin, the Lin clan's second young miss. He decided that this time he'd march right into the Lin estate and humiliate her—she once called him a useless waste and broke off their engagement, but now he'd make her kneel and beg for forgiveness.
"But you might have to wait a bit—my princely residence is still under construction. For now, you can stay at my mansion," Skylar Yule said.
"Really? Then I'll get to see the Second Prince's manor for myself! I never thought I'd set foot in the capital in this lifetime—feels like a dream!" Luna Chu laughed.
The group chatted among themselves for a while. Selena barely spoke, but everyone could tell her relationship with Evan Chu was far from ordinary—and her terrifying strength made them all secretly glad Evan had such a powerful woman by his side.
Soon Titus Sima came in and said, "Second Prince, Prince Valiant, the meal is ready. Please, let's dine!"
At the banquet table, everyone naturally toasted Skylar Yule and Evan Chu. The atmosphere was lively and full of laughter.
Luna Chu even blocked three cups of wine for Skylar Yule, saying it wouldn't do to let a prince get drunk. Evan Chu just watched and didn't interfere, making her intentions pretty obvious.
Evan Chu leaned close to Luna Chu and whispered, "Looks like you've grown up and found yourself a sweetheart. Now you don't care about your cousin anymore—how heartless!"
His voice was low, but everyone heard it clear as day. As all eyes turned to her, Luna Chu's face flushed red. She glared at Evan Chu and snapped, "You dare tease your big sister? Want me to show you what family discipline looks like?"
The whole group burst out laughing. Even Skylar Yule felt his face heat up a little—Luna Chu really left an impression on him, stirring up feelings he couldn't quite name.
Then Evan Chu said, "Father-in-law, I know you've always wanted more than Flowing Cloud City. With the recent turmoil in the capital, a lot of court positions are open. Why not come with us to the capital? It'd be the best answer to Jenny Sima's feelings too."
Titus Sima replied eagerly, "Jenny really picked the right man! As your father-in-law, let me thank you in advance, son-in-law!"
After a few rounds of drinks, Titus Sima arranged rooms for everyone and posted notices around the city: the Chu clan had been pardoned, and all its members were innocent and free.
Most of the Chu clan returned to their old estate, but many outsiders believed the city lord's proclamations were forced. Evan Chu's overwhelming strength had left Titus Sima no choice.
Evan Chu was called into a room by Victor Chu, who looked at his legendary son with pride and wonder.
"Evan, what are your plans next?" Victor Chu asked.
"Dad, once I settle everyone in the capital, I'm heading to the Sea Regions. There's something there I need to get stronger—so I can rescue Mom one day and reunite our family," Evan Chu said seriously.
"Saving your mother won't be easy. Evan, what realm are you at now? The Sea Regions are notorious for danger—I'm honestly worried," Victor Chu said.
"Don't worry, Dad. Selena's at least fifth-layer Divine Martial Realm—she can handle anything in this world, so with her around, I'm not in much danger. Plus, I can kill even Heaven Martial fifth-layer experts myself now," Evan Chu said.
Victor Chu wasn't even shocked anymore—he'd been numbed by all the day's news. "Just be careful, Evan. Don't go looking for trouble," he advised.
"Got it, Dad. I know what I'm doing!" Evan Chu replied, then returned to his own room.
When he entered, he found Luna Chu waiting inside. Seeing him, she hurried over and said, "Evan, you know I've never asked you for anything before, but this time your big sister really needs your help..."
