Strange Spiral Shell Devours the Treasure
Faced with two suddenly appearing experts, Harth knew his men would be no match for them. He could only rely on the formation he'd prepared in advance. Dozens of top cultivators had already formed an encirclement, and at Harth's command, the Devil-Fiend Well's light ring instantly expanded, trapping everyone inside—including the Wine Beggar and Lydia Yang.
Soon after, the Wine Beggar and Lydia Yang found themselves unable to move. Both were shocked, but thankfully their opponents were also immobilized—everyone inside the ring seemed completely frozen.
"Third Uncle, what's going on?" Lydia Yang cried out in alarm.
"I don't know what kind of formation this is, but we were careless. This Devil-Fiend Well is so important to the Devil Realm, there's no way they'd leave only these experts here. Otherwise, they'd never be able to withstand Immortal Realm cultivators like us," said the Wine Beggar.
"So what do we do now? Evan Yang is still inside that artifact," Lydia Yang said.
"Let's hope he's safe inside. All we can do is see if there's any way to escape," the Wine Beggar replied.
Lydia Yang nodded, and the two of them began working together, searching for a way to break the immobilization.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang had no idea what was happening outside. He paced back and forth inside the artifact, thinking, "This is a spatial treasure, and it seems to be a pretty good one. I can't break it by force—so let's try this instead."
Evan Yang had an idea: he would try using his Strange Spiral Shell. The shell appeared in his hand and, under Evan's will, grew larger. It looked ancient and weathered, with patches of rust and cracks—far from a complete treasure.
But Evan Yang didn't underestimate it, knowing full well how powerful the treasure was. He aimed the shell at the artifact and directed it to swallow and fuse with it. Sure enough, the artifact began to tremble slightly.
