He Must Die

1/11/2026

Gavin Yan never expected Ian Song would actually dare to attack him, and that Ian would do it so fast—his hands were chopped off in an instant.

He stared blankly at his two hands suspended in midair, then a wave of searing pain shot through his wrists. Looking down at the bleeding stumps, terror and fury battled in his eyes—then his gaze turned blood-red and he roared:

"Bastard! I’ll kill you!"

He gritted his teeth against the agony in his wrists, then lunged forward. As he caught up with Ian Song, his body sprang into the air and he unleashed a flurry of kicks.

"Pop pop pop!"

The air exploded—the blur of his legs formed a wall, completely enveloping Ian Song.

"Watch out!"

Harriet Gu couldn’t help but shout.

Bang!

Ian Song didn’t even turn his head—he just swung his arm backward with a palm strike, like a dragon lashing its tail.

Lian Peng grimaced—he couldn’t even block a single move, so how could he possibly stop Ian Song?

But he knew he couldn’t defy the order. If Young Master Wu arrived and found him disobedient, he’d be finished.

"Everyone, attack together! We don’t have to stop him—just stall him!"

With a shout, Lian Peng drew his saber and charged at Ian Song, the dozens of thugs following, waving their weapons.

Sssing!

The sword sang!

Sword-light flashed, like lightning.

Clang clang clang!

Weapons clattered to the floor—everyone, including Lian Peng, dropped their weapons, blood trickling from their wrists.

"Such powerful swordsmanship! Such speed!"

The diners watching in the hall were utterly shocked, a new layer of awe appearing in their eyes.

"I know who he is!" someone suddenly exclaimed.

"Who?"

"He’s Leon Huang!"

"So he’s Leon Huang! No wonder he dared to barge into Tianwu House!"

Ian Song joined Sanctum Martial Academy not long ago. Though he was famous, few had seen his face, and after spending over a month at the Blood River battlefield, he’d faded from the academy’s memory.

"This time I cut your wrists; next time it’ll be your brows. Get out!" Ian Song swept his gaze over Lian Peng and the others, his voice cold and commanding.

On hearing this, Lian Peng and the others instinctively stepped aside.

At that moment, joy suddenly appeared on the brocade-robed man’s face.

Three new figures appeared at the entrance of Tianwu House.

The leader wore a blue robe, was tall, and though his looks were ordinary, his brows radiated arrogance.

Behind him were two young men in Sanctum Martial Academy’s advanced student uniforms.

"Greetings, Young Master Wu, Young Master Xu, Young Master Yelu."

The brocade-robed man bowed repeatedly to the three, his manner extremely respectful.

As soon as the three appeared, the diners began whispering again.

"Rumor has it Tianwu House is backed by advanced academy students. Looks like it’s true."

"Yeah, Leon Huang’s in trouble now. He’s talented, but he’s only a Grandmaster. Against three advanced students, he doesn’t stand a chance!"

At that moment, Young Master Wu’s gaze swept the room and instantly silenced the crowd.

"Old Zheng, what happened?" Young Master Wu asked in a deep voice.

Young Master Wu’s real name was Wynton Wu, a veteran advanced student at Sanctum Martial Academy, whose cultivation had reached mid-stage Grandmaster.

His two followers were Mason Xu and Nelson Yelu, both recently promoted to advanced students, and both at the early Grandmaster stage.

Cultivation requires immense resources, and resources cost money.

So a group of veteran advanced students founded Tianwu House, but to avoid attention, they let the brocade-robed man manage it.

Wynton Wu is one of Tianwu House’s minor shareholders and acts as the agent for the other veteran students, so he usually handles any problems.

The brocade-robed man nervously reported, “Young Master Wu, this man killed Tianwu House’s manager Zou Yucheng, injured many staff, and barged into Gavin Yan’s box. Gavin’s fate is unknown!”

Wynton Wu didn’t care much about the deaths and injuries, but hearing Ian Song barged into Gavin’s box made him tense. Gavin is Easton Yan’s brother, and if anything happened, Easton would be furious.

Thinking of this, Wynton Wu quickly told his follower, “Mason Xu, go upstairs and check on Gavin Yan!”

Just then, a staggering figure appeared at the stairway—face pale, body covered in blood, both hands severed, blood dripping from the wounds.

Whoosh!

Mason Xu flashed to Gavin Yan’s side, took out a medicine bottle, and gave him two pills: “Take them quickly!”

After Gavin Yan took the pills, Mason Xu sprinkled some powder on his wounds. The powder was highly effective; Gavin’s bleeding stopped quickly.

Supported by Mason Xu, Gavin Yan descended the stairs, his eyes full of venom, glaring at Ian Song: “Wynton Wu, I want this man dead!”

Wynton Wu frowned, his gaze cold: “Did you sever Gavin’s hands?”

"Yes!"

"Don’t you think that’s too cruel?"

"He brought it on himself," Ian Song replied calmly.

"Fine. Sever your own hands, and this matter ends here!" Wynton Wu’s eyes flashed with anger.

Gavin Yan was dissatisfied and roared, “Wynton Wu, didn’t you hear me? I want him dead, not just with severed hands!”

Wynton Wu frowned again, eyes flashing with impatience: “Mason Xu, take Gavin Yan to get his hands treated. Leave the rest to me.”

Seeing Wynton Wu trying to send him away, Gavin Yan was furious: “I’m not leaving! I won’t go until I see that bastard dead!”
