Luna Lian

1/4/2026

The New Divine Realm is guarded by the Three Great Houses of the Divine Race, and only a handful of high-ranking Divine Race members can freely enter and exit.

Luna Lian received her call and personally came out to escort her inside.

It takes two hours to refine the Five-Element Earth-Soul Beast's inner core into a medicinal pill.

Lily Bai, well-acquainted with the place, followed Luna Lian into the alchemy room and helped her tend the fire.

"The Five-Element Earth-Soul Beast is native to the Primeval Demon Wilds. How did you get your hands on one?" Luna Lian asked curiously.

"Easy!" Lily Bai replied with a grin. "I bought it with spirit jade!"

"Huh? No way! You can actually buy one of those?" Luna Lian—usually the gentlest, most well-mannered girl Lily Bai had ever met—now gaped in shock, her expression comically exaggerated.

"Pfft!" Lily Bai burst out laughing. "Just kidding! Of course that's impossible!"

"Then how did you get it?" Luna Lian asked.

Lily Bai whispered, "You might not believe it, but I was actually captured as a prisoner once."

"A prisoner?"

"I was captured by Damian Black, the Demon Emperor. Later..." Lily Bai explained the whole story. "...I never expected Damian would actually let me go! He even took me back inside and helped me get this inner core."

Lily Bai thought her story sounded pretty scary—honestly, downright unbelievable.

Yet Luna Lian showed no surprise at all, just a slight frown.

"You don't think that's unbelievable?" Lily Bai asked.

Her reaction was way too calm.

Luna Lian said, "There's nothing strange about it. If he didn't have at least that much credibility, how could he command all the demon hordes?"

Lily Bai: "Nothing strange about it?"

Luna Lian: "What's so strange about it?"

Lily Bai: "Fine..."

"Your cultivation has improved again," Luna Lian said. "Your immortal power is even stronger than last time."

"Of course! Who do you think I am?" Lily Bai boasted proudly. "One day, I'm totally going to ascend to the God Tier!"

Luna Lian took out her Storage Pouch, poured out two fist-sized pieces of supreme-grade spirit jade, and said, "You must've used up the ones I gave you last time. I just got two new pieces—here, they're yours."

Spirit jade is crystallized spiritual energy and can be used for cultivation.

At the same time, it's also the universal currency for cultivators above a certain rank in the Ten Wildlands Continent.

Spirit jade comes in low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and supreme-grade varieties.

For an ordinary cultivator, having a few pieces of high-grade spirit jade already means they're filthy rich.

Supreme-grade spirit jade is only held by a tiny handful of top-tier immortals and Divine Race members.

Even though Lily Bai is the Eastern Luo Empire's only legitimate princess, her family only keeps a few pieces of supreme-grade spirit jade as national treasure—they'd never hand them out for her personal use.

But Luna Lian keeps giving her supreme-grade spirit jade as if it were nothing special, time and time again.

That's also one of the reasons Lily Bai's cultivation skyrockets so fast.

Lily Bai sat lower, while Luna Lian sat higher.

She turned and flopped onto Luna Lian's lap, feeling all warm inside. "Thank you, Lianlian!"

"Hey, what's with you? All of a sudden?" Luna Lian laughed.

"Lianlian, why are you so good to me?" Lily Bai clung to her and wouldn't let go.

They've known each other for ten years—whenever Lily needed something, Luna never refused.

And even when Lily didn't ask, Luna would still give.

Like those supreme-grade spirit jade pieces, for example.

"We Divine Race don't actually use spirit jade for cultivation. I don't need it, so of course I give it to someone who does!" Luna Lian replied.

Lily Bai pouted. "Oh, come on! Don't give me that. Sure, you're a goddess and don't need it for cultivation, but you could trade it for celestial relics or rare alchemical materials. It's not like you couldn't use it!"
