Visit from the Empress Dowager

After Qilin Divine Lord Soren Lann came to visit his master's wife, the Qilin Empress Dowager herself arrived to see her.

The whole family turned out to greet the Empress Dowager. It was a great honor for the Lu Clan.

Even High Goddess Vivian Lu felt a bit overwhelmed and nervous by all this attention.

As soon as the Empress Dowager saw High Goddess Vivian Lu, she frowned, "You're still in your confinement month! How can you come out and catch a chill?"

She glared at Quentin Lian, "And you call yourselves a family of spirit-elixir healers! How can you not know such basic health practices? I'm here to visit a patient, not to make things worse!"

"Empress Dowager, my health is really fine now," Vivian Lu said. "It's just a minor issue, I truly don't deserve your personal visit. I feel so anxious!"

The Empress Dowager took her inside, and after they sat down, she said, "Back when Soren hadn't ascended yet, what was our relationship like? You never spoke to me so formally! I don't want to hear any of that now. Let's be just like before, so my heart can be at ease!"

Vivian Lu smiled, "In my heart, it really is just like before! But now that you're the exalted Empress Dowager, personally coming to visit a minister's wife, I truly feel undeserving."

"I came to see you today purely because I was worried about you!" the Empress Dowager said. "What exactly happened? Soren is a man, so there were many details he couldn't ask about. Tell me, what did Tanya do?"

Sean Shaw nodded slightly. "Father and Mother are both well."

Quentin Lian and his wife explained the situation to the Empress Dowager, who was so furious she pounded the bed: "How could there be such black-hearted, rotten people in this world? They ought to be struck dead by Genesis Bolts!"

"You're just too soft-hearted!" The Empress Dowager shook her head and sighed, then abruptly changed the subject: "By the way, I heard someone from Drake Abyss arrived too?"

"It's Adrian Drake," Vivian Lu said. "He calls me Master's Wife, so of course he should visit."

"Yes. The Fifth Highness came with him," Vivian Lu said. "Mainly, they get along well with Ryan."

The Qilin Empress Dowager smiled, "Speaking of which, where are they? I haven't seen my little darling Lucia Lu in ages! Call her over!"

Sean Shaw nodded slightly: "Father and Mother are both well."

"Oh my!" the Qilin Empress Dowager exclaimed. "I doubt the Divine Empress is really doing all that well!"

Sean Shaw said nothing.

"I heard you led the team that wiped out the Xuanchen Clan?" the Qilin Empress Dowager asked again.

Sean Shaw replied, "It was indeed our Divine Generals' Camp that solved the case."

"Fifth Highness, you truly are a young hero!" the Qilin Empress Dowager said with a smile. "Not only did you ascend to High God at such a young age, but you're so selfless and clear about right and wrong. I think very highly of you—your future is limitless."

Sean Shaw nodded calmly: "You flatter me!"

"By the way, you're not engaged yet, are you?" the Qilin Empress Dowager asked enthusiastically.

Sean Shaw said nothing.
