Evan Chu kept his body hidden, not revealing himself at all. Right now, staying invisible was the best way to ambush the enemy—especially since the Heavenfire Hellcat had warned him that the Heaven Mosquito was truly formidable. He couldn't afford to let his guard down.
The sudden appearance of four people caught the Heaven Mosquito off guard for a moment. Then, with a faint red glow radiating from its body, the Heaven Mosquito transformed into a middle-aged man—except he had four arms, and none of them ended in fingers, just razor-sharp spikes.
"You've got some nerve, barging into my territory! I, the Heaven Mosquito, have always kept to myself, but you dare disturb me? Tired of living, are you?" the Heaven Mosquito spat out, speaking in human tongue.
"We're here for you, actually. Didn’t expect you to show up so fast. Honestly, we’re not here to make trouble—we just need a little bit of your blood to save someone. If you could be generous and give us some, we’ll leave right away," said the Golden Dragon King.
"You want my blood? Did I hear that right? I, the Heaven Mosquito, live by drinking blood—and now you want mine? Isn’t that the same as asking for my life? Since you’ve come to my turf, don’t even think about leaving alive.
Judging by your strength, you’re all pretty decent. Once I drain your blood, I’ll break through another realm and then go crush the Heavenfire Hellcat. If I absorb her blood, I’ll complete a powerful evolution and become even stronger. Hahaha!" The Heaven Mosquito, still in the form of a middle-aged man, laughed wildly.
"Are you out of your mind? Can’t you see you’re already surrounded? Dreaming about drinking our blood—what a joke. Looks like you need a lesson in pain to understand who you’re dealing with," Goldwing couldn’t help but snap.
"Is that so? Then show me what makes you think you deserve my blood. Come on!" the Heaven Mosquito roared, as the spikes on all four arms began to lengthen, looking more and more sinister.
Evan Chu was shocked too. Judging by the aura pouring off the Heaven Mosquito, it had at least demigod-rank strength—maybe even higher. The Golden Dragon King and Jade couldn’t possibly beat it. This fight had to be his.
Right now, staying invisible was his best shot at a sneak attack. So Evan Chu silently crept closer to the Heaven Mosquito, stopping when he was just over ten meters away.
"Heh, looks like there's even an invisible one here. You really think I can't see you? My Heaven Mosquito eyes are compound eyes by nature—they can spot anything hiding. Planning to sneak attack me? Keep dreaming!" The Heaven Mosquito laughed, clearly delighted to have seen through Evan Chu’s ploy.
In a flash, its figure darted straight toward Evan Chu, attacking with those arm spikes. The Heaven Mosquito’s attack was simple—just stabbing with the spike—but it was brutally direct and overwhelming.
Evan Chu could clearly sense the energy condensed in that spike. If it hit, his body would be pierced for sure. No way was he letting that happen—he gripped the Frostbane Divine Sword and unleashed a full-force Divine Cleave straight at the Heaven Mosquito.
For a moment, the space around them shook violently—the might of Divine Cleave was no joke. Evan’s only goal was to block the strike, not shatter the spike.
Boom! A thunderous crash rang out as Evan’s sword-qi slammed into the Heaven Mosquito’s spike, unleashing a raging energy storm that spread in all directions.
The swamp below split open with countless massive fissures, stretching for hundreds of li—proof of just how terrifying the attack was. Evan was blasted back dozens of meters before he managed to steady himself, while the Heaven Mosquito only slid back less than ten meters. The gap in raw power was instantly clear.
The spike Evan had struck was still perfectly intact, right in front of him. The Heaven Mosquito’s physical defense was far stronger than he’d expected—a nasty surprise.
"Everyone, fall back! This thing’s tough—way harder to deal with than I thought!" Evan Chu called out to the group.
"Hahaha! Kid, not bad—you actually managed to push me back ten meters. Looks like you’re the leader, huh? Drinking your blood will be a real treat. It’s been ages since I tasted anything fresh—guess the heavens are smiling on me today!" the Heaven Mosquito laughed.
"Hey, ugly freak! I'm giving you one last chance—if you hand over some blood, maybe I’ll let you go. Otherwise, I’ll wipe you out of the Immortal Realm for good. What’s so special about Primordial-era mosquitoes anyway? Back then, a single slap could squash them!" Evan snapped.
"Kid, you’re way too arrogant! Let’s see just how tough you really are!" the Heaven Mosquito snarled. With another flash of red light, it lunged at Evan Chu again—this time stabbing with two arm spikes at once, making the attack far fiercer than before.
Evan Chu knew there was only one way to get the Heaven Mosquito’s blood—he’d have to seriously injure or even kill it. His own bloodline pressure probably wouldn’t scare this thing; mosquitoes were the boldest creatures around, always risking their lives to drink blood, never showing a hint of fear.
Not that Evan cared to debate whether mosquitoes had courage. Maybe the little ones didn’t, but a Heaven Mosquito the size of a calf definitely had all its organs—and all its guts.
With a thought, Evan Chu instantly activated his Unicorn Arm. Against the Heaven Mosquito, he couldn’t hold back at all—he had to go all out and hope this strike would leave it crippled, making it easier to get the blood he needed.
Combining Unicorn Arm with Divine Cleave made the attack even more devastating—the whole space twisted, though not quite torn apart yet. Waves of sword-qi surged toward the Heaven Mosquito.
The moment Evan struck, it was earth-shattering. The Heaven Mosquito froze for a split second—he hadn’t expected this frail-looking youth to unleash such terrifying power. It was hard to believe.
Another deafening boom echoed through the air. This time, Evan barely budged, but the Heaven Mosquito was sent flying dozens of meters before it could steady itself. The two arms it used to attack Evan were smashed to bits—now it was left with only two.
With its body so badly damaged, its strength had to drop. The Heaven Mosquito’s face turned ashen, its eyes blazing with fury as it glared at Evan Chu. Just then, the ground began to shift again.
The swamp was gone now—in its place, mountains had erupted, and the cracks in the earth ran so deep the bottom couldn’t be seen. Molten lava glowed red beneath the surface, and the energy storm whipped up grass and dirt, filling the air and blocking everyone’s view.
"You dare destroy my territory, kid? Today, you all die!" The Heaven Mosquito was now truly enraged.
Red light exploded from its body, and Evan Chu could clearly sense the thick stench of blood within it. The Heaven Mosquito now revealed its true form: six legs, each over ten meters tall, and a blood-sucking spike more than five meters long protruding from its mouth—a truly terrifying sight…
