Seeing the once-arrogant girl now kneeling, Evan Chu said, "You may rise. It's enough that you know my true identity. To have survived since the Primordial Era is no easy feat—cherish yourself, and never again act so arrogantly."
The girl scrambled up in shock, glancing at Evan Chu, who had already returned to human form. "You're actually the Primordial Dragon King? How is that possible? This is unbelievable!"
"Life is full of surprises. This is just one of my clones. Right now, I have a problem and need your help. In the Immortal Realm, I need to find a Heaven Mosquito and obtain its blood. Do you know where the Heaven Mosquito is?" Evan Chu asked.
Evan didn't have much hope for the Heavenfire Hellcat, since her range of activity was limited. Even if she'd heard of the Heaven Mosquito, she probably couldn't reach wherever it appeared.
"Heaven Mosquito? Even the King is looking for a Heaven Mosquito? I know about it—one appears in a swamp a little over a thousand li outside this volcano cluster. But the Heaven Mosquito is extremely savage and fears no one. Any Heaven Mosquito that survived until now is almost as strong as I am, so you must be careful," the girl said.
"Excellent. That's all I needed. Here are a few God Stones—maybe you can absorb them now. I hope to see you in the God Realm someday. My time is short, so I won't stay!" Evan Chu said, producing several God Stones.
He tossed the God Stones to the girl, then vanished in a flash at the volcano's mouth. The Heavenfire Hellcat, still in her girl form, didn't follow. The shock Evan Chu had brought her left her stunned, unable to react for a long time—especially his identity and the sudden appearance of God Stones, which only exist in the God Realm, now in his possession.
That meant he was someone from the God Realm—appearing here was simply incredible. With these God Stones, maybe she truly had a chance to ascend to the God Realm.
"Evan, are you alright? I heard Jade and the Golden Dragon King say that the One-Horned Cat was actually a rare Heavenfire Hellcat, incredibly strong, with nine clones. How did she let you go? I even heard your dragon roar when you took your true form just now," Yvonne Xuan asked.
"It was because I took my true form that she recognized my identity. My Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon body represents the Primordial Dragon—strongest of the Primordial Era, king of all immortal and demonic beasts. So of course she had to submit. It's that simple. I don't care if she has nine lives or eight—so long as she lets us go, that's enough."
"I learned the Heaven Mosquito's whereabouts from the Heavenfire Hellcat. I trust she wouldn't lie to me. The Heaven Mosquito is just outside the volcano cluster, so let's not waste any time—let's go now!" Evan Chu said.
Everyone was a bit surprised by Evan Chu's news, but no one said much. They quickly flew in the direction he'd indicated. Not long after, the Heavenfire Hellcat girl appeared in midair at the volcano's mouth, watching Evan and the others leave. "I never thought I'd see the King in my lifetime. What luck! But with the Heaven Mosquito's temper, he's in for a rough time this round," she muttered.
The five of them moved fast, flying out of the volcano cluster in just half an hour. This wasn't the farthest western edge of the Immortal Realm yet. After passing the volcanoes, the terrain gradually changed—mountains grew sparse until it all became a vast, endless swamp.
"Finding the Heaven Mosquito won't be easy. We'll need to lure it out somehow. What do you think interests Heaven Mosquitoes most?" Evan Chu asked the group.
"Mosquitoes are most interested in blood. If we use powerful, energy-rich blood, we can definitely catch the Heaven Mosquito's attention. You, the Golden Dragon King, and even Old Goldwing—all of you have extremely noble bloodlines, so your blood is packed with energy," Yvonne Xuan said.
"Boss, let me do it. I bet I can lure the Heaven Mosquito out!" Goldwing volunteered.
"Go ahead and try. Everyone, hide yourselves and let's see if we can draw the Heaven Mosquito out!" Evan Chu said.
"I'll need to borrow your Frostbane Divine Sword!" Goldwing said.
Evan Chu handed Goldwing the Frostbane Divine Sword. As soon as he took it, Goldwing's hands started trembling, as if he couldn't hold on, his face twisted in pain. Still, he pressed the blade to his wrist and sliced, letting blood flow quickly.
He darted through the air, flying a circle before returning to his spot. The Frostbane Divine Sword dropped to the ground, and a faint mist of blood hung in the air.
"Boss, your Frostbane Divine Sword is seriously weird. None of us can use it—it has some kind of overwhelming power that makes it unbearable. If this doesn't work, let the Golden Dragon King use his blood to lure the Heaven Mosquito instead!" Goldwing said.
"Alright, everyone, get far away and hide yourselves. I'll wait here for the Heaven Mosquito. As soon as it appears, we'll surround it immediately. I'm sure we can subdue it," Evan Chu said.
The others quickly left, while Evan Chu used Light Transformation to make himself invisible, quietly waiting for a miracle to happen.
Waiting was long and agonizing. Time passed slowly, and the blood mist in the air grew thinner and thinner. If the Heaven Mosquito didn't show up soon, Goldwing's blood would have been wasted.
An hour passed with no sign. The bloody scent in the air had vanished. Evan Chu gritted his teeth, took out the Frostbane Divine Sword, and slashed his wrist hard. Then, imitating Goldwing, he flew a quick circle, leaving a trail of blood scent in the air.
But Evan Chu's blood didn't flow much, and his wound healed quickly. He was frustrated—there wasn't enough blood to lure the Heaven Mosquito.
Evan Chu couldn't help but laugh bitterly. Just as he was about to give up, the ground nearby suddenly shook violently. A gigantic mosquito, as big as a calf, appeared right before him.
This mosquito was pitch-black all over. Its wings thundered as they beat, its legs were as thick as a grown man's arm, and its feet glowed with a ghostly light. Most terrifying of all was its enormous, meter-long spear-like proboscis.
If a mosquito that size bit you, it would drain all your blood in an instant. It was truly terrifying—even Evan Chu felt his scalp tingle with fear.
But Evan Chu was still thrilled the Heaven Mosquito had appeared. He whistled, and the Golden Dragon King, Yvonne Xuan, Jade, and Goldwing immediately appeared before him. The five of them formed a tight encirclement around the Heaven Mosquito...
