Heading to the Teacher–Student Assembly

2/14/2026

Afterwards, Wendy Wen interviewed the battered Ryan Luo. Ryan put on an act of repaying evil with virtue and declared he wouldn’t retaliate, which drew scorn from all the boys and girls in the school, but won unanimous approval from the teachers.

Ryan Luo’s face twisted with resentment as he glared at Evan Lin: “I’ve lost face big time, but you won’t get away with it either! Once we’re at the Teacher–Student Assembly, the principal will see how you openly defied the school rules. Let’s see how you survive after that!”

The projector screen switched back to the Teacher–Student Assembly, showing the scene in the multimedia classroom.

Principal Damon Deng’s expression was especially stern as he said, “Everyone saw it—what that student did just now truly disgraces the name of Capitalview First High! Our school has always emphasized the all-around development of students, but this student seems far too aggressive, resorting to violence at the slightest provocation!”

“That is absolutely unacceptable!”

After Damon Deng finished, Ben Lu immediately took over, his face cold as he said, “Then let’s have Evan Lin from Senior Year Class 32, the student in the video, come to the scene and share his thoughts with everyone. I believe that once he sees just how bad his behavior was, he’ll realize his mistake. This will also serve as a warning to our other students!”

As soon as Ben Lu finished speaking, Byron Yang, Class 32’s homeroom teacher, was already standing at the classroom door, looking at Evan Lin in the back row and impatiently saying, “Evan Lin, come with me to the multimedia classroom now!”

The moment Byron Yang spoke, everyone turned to look at Evan Lin with either pity or mockery in their eyes.

Byron Yang finished speaking and took the lead, heading straight for the multimedia classroom.

Evan Lin yawned, got up slowly, and thought to himself that since he was bored sitting here anyway, taking a stroll over there didn’t seem like such a bad idea.

“Let’s see how cocky you are now, punk! Once you’re in the multimedia classroom, I bet you won’t dare talk big anymore, haha!”

Ryan Luo gloated, unable to hold back his shout. All his pent-up resentment was just waiting to burst out.

Liam Liu was a bit worried, but Evan Lin had already gotten up from his seat and walked a few steps. Instead of leaving the classroom, he went straight to Ryan Luo. Under everyone’s confused gaze, there was a sudden ‘whoosh’—Ryan, who had been sitting there gloating, was casually thrown out by Evan again.

“Ah!”

Ryan Luo flew out and crashed to the floor, crying out in pain.

Everyone was stunned. Nobody expected Evan Lin to strike so decisively, even when he was about to be called up at the Teacher–Student Assembly!

“If I feel like being wild, I’ll be wild. If I feel like hitting you, I’ll hit you. You’re annoying me now, so I’m hitting you now. Got a problem?” Evan Lin walked over, looked down at Ryan Luo lying on the ground, and patted his face.

“You… You’ll get expelled for this!” Ryan Luo was terrified.

“Getting expelled is no big deal, why make such a fuss?” Evan Lin shook his head. “Looks like it’s time to broaden your horizons.”

With that, Evan’s expression cooled. He grabbed Ryan Luo with one hand and lifted him straight off the floor.

Ryan Luo’s arms and legs flailed in the air as he tried to break free from Evan Lin’s grip, but no matter what he did, he couldn’t escape Evan’s grasp.

To everyone else, Ryan Luo looked just like a terrified turtle caught in Evan Lin’s hand.

“Where are you taking me?”

Evan Lin carried Ryan Luo out of the classroom; Ryan’s face was pale.

There were six classrooms in this row: Class 32, Class 31, Class 30, Class 29, Class 28, and Class 27. To get to the multimedia classroom from Class 32, you had to walk down this corridor.

Evan Lin just kept holding Ryan Luo with one hand, and after leaving the classroom, he strode decisively down the corridor.

In the nearby classrooms, the boys and girls were still talking about Evan Lin’s cocky lines from the video when suddenly someone spotted Evan walking past outside in the hallway.

“Whoa, it’s that guy from the video!”

“Is he carrying Ryan Luo?”

“Awesome! What’s he doing—this big shot really doesn’t care about the school rules at all!”

These students were usually well-behaved and never caused trouble at Capitalview First High—almost nobody dared to stir things up.

Now, one by one, they watched Evan Lin walk past, holding the terrified and battered Ryan Luo with one hand. Alone and expressionless, Evan’s cool demeanor earned the admiration and awe of countless students.

“Why does it feel like this guy has the vibe of someone walking alone at sunset, heading off to his doom…”

Someone sighed, and for a moment, plenty of others felt the same way.

They all turned to stare at the projector screen. No doubt about it—this guy was carrying Ryan Luo straight to the Teacher–Student Assembly. He was the very image of someone marching bravely to his fate, and that room was packed with all the school’s directors and the principal!

At the Teacher–Student Assembly.

Byron Yang had walked much faster than Evan Lin. When he arrived, he didn’t pay attention to what Evan was doing behind him, and had no idea Evan was dragging Ryan Luo along.

Right now, Byron Yang’s face was full of sorrow. He could already imagine all the grilling he’d get from the Director of Academic Affairs, the vice principal, and the principal after the assembly.

This was really disaster from above—getting caught in the crossfire for no reason.

Byron Yang never would have guessed he’d get screwed over by a transfer student who’d only been in his class for one day!

“Before that student arrives, let’s invite Chief Chen to say a few words,” Principal Damon Deng announced.

Chief Gary Chen took the microphone and smiled. “Hello everyone, I’m Gary Chen, the district police chief. I think most of you know me—I’ve visited a few times before.”

“I just watched that video too. A student like that is a dangerous presence. If he can’t adjust his mindset, he might end up on the path to crime. So it’s not just up to the teachers—it’s up to all of you to help this classmate correct his bad behavior.”

Chief Chen’s words were powerful and forceful.

“That’s Gary Chen—the famous police hero of Capitalview City. He’s solved a ton of major cases.”

“My dad’s a big fan of his. He used to be a battle hero—heard he almost lost his life fighting a robber.”

“But Chief Chen is also super proud—he doesn’t tolerate any nonsense. Looks like that guy’s in big trouble once he gets here.”
