Inside the classroom, countless students stared at the projection of Chief Gary Chen, all waiting to watch the drama unfold.

Chief Gary Chen was famous for his hatred of evil. In the video just now, Evan Lin's swagger after hitting someone was so wild and arrogant that people couldn't help but look forward to the moment when Chen would confront Evan.

After a few brief remarks, Chief Chen simply took his seat.

Henry Wang, sitting at the front, glanced at Byron Yang, who was standing by the door looking grim, then smiled and said, "Mr. Yang, don't get too worked up. Students like that troublemaker pop up everywhere."

"Besides, the principal and director all know this student just transferred into your class. If they really want to criticize him, they'll be careful about it. You don't need to worry so much."

Henry Wang still held the sealed exam papers, waiting for Byron Yang's student to get called up and scolded, so he could then open the envelope in public and show off the perfect score.

In Henry Wang's mind, only a student from his own class could have gotten a perfect score. As soon as the name was revealed, he'd call the student up to the Teacher–Student Assembly for praise. The comparison would make his Senior Year Experimental Class 2 look even more impressive.

Face is everything, and Byron Yang was about to lose his all the way to his grandma's house.

"Let's hope so," Byron Yang replied, shaking his head. He couldn't say what was really on his mind.

Just as they were talking, someone finally spotted Evan Lin walking past outside the multimedia classroom.

"He's here!"

"That's the student who dared to call his classmate a dog right in front of everyone."

"It's one thing to hit someone, but to act that arrogant? This kid's got serious issues."

Inside the multimedia classroom, everyone turned to look at the door. The first thing they saw was Evan Lin walking in, but nobody noticed Ryan Luo dangling from Evan's hand.

"Hmph, acting all casual in the interview, and now in front of all these teachers, directors, and the principal, still putting on that cocky face? I want to see just how gutsy and shameless you really are!"

Wendy Wen stood there with her chin held high, staring at Evan Lin's indifferent face, feeling more uncomfortable than ever.

Usually, Wendy Wen was the artsy goddess in the eyes of plenty of boys—when had anyone ever dared ignore her?

But Evan Lin not only called names and threw punches on camera, he also showed zero respect for her status as arts-club president and broadcast-station chief.

"This student has a serious problem, and he doesn't look even a little bit remorseful." Director Ben Lu sipped his tea, his tone slow and scolding.

"Hmm, maybe we'll have to ask Chief Chen to personally teach this student about the law, so he really understands how serious this is!" The principal nodded, looking just as displeased.

Chief Gary Chen stared at Evan Lin's face for a moment, a flicker of confusion passing through his eyes.

This entire scene was being broadcast live to the whole school.

Lynn Chen frowned, Ivy Liang watched coldly, Liam Liu looked on with schadenfreude, and Mason He wished he could rush up right now and beat Evan Lin senseless in front of everyone.

But in the next second, everyone's complicated feelings instantly changed.

"Wait, is that...?"

"What is he doing?"

"Holy crap! Is he carrying someone? That's Ryan Luo!"

On camera, Evan Lin walked in from outside the multimedia classroom, his face expressionless, carrying Ryan Luo, who looked as pale as death.

Ryan Luo flailed his limbs, looking utterly pathetic—like a turtle being held by the scruff.

"What are you doing? Put Ryan Luo down!"

Byron Yang, already in a foul mood, caught sight of this and froze for a second, then exploded in anger, shouting at Evan Lin. His heart was pounding like crazy.

It was one thing to be arrogant and hit someone on camera—after all, that could still be chalked up to a student spat. But this was the whole Teacher–Student Assembly!

Not only were students present, but all the school's big shots—the principal, directors, everyone with real authority—were here! Dragging Ryan Luo into the multimedia classroom in front of everyone was a blatant provocation!

"Mr. Yang, your student really is born for big trouble," Henry Wang sneered from the side.

Wendy Wen stood frozen, staring blankly at the boy walking toward the center. In her eyes, he looked unbelievably calm—like someone who wouldn't flinch even if Mount Tai collapsed. It was honestly shocking.

"Hey you, what exactly are you doing? Do you realize today is the Teacher–Student Assembly? Do you even know why you were called here? You're supposed to apologize!" Director Ben Lu slammed the table and stood up.

Principal Damon Deng's face was thunderous. In all his years at Capitalview First High, he'd never seen a student this gutsy!

Chief Gary Chen watched with interest, still pondering something.

"Damn, is this transfer kid planning to go to war with all the teachers?"

"If this video gets out, he'll win the 'Biggest Self-Destruct of the Year' award for sure."

"Alright, alright, looks like this transfer student really plans to die for his beliefs."

In classrooms all over the school, students watched the scene unfold, all waiting for the drama to play out.

School life is mostly dull and boring, so anything this dramatic is bound to grab everyone's attention.

"Is this idiot really not afraid of getting expelled?" Lynn Chen's expression kept changing as she stared at Evan Lin's calm face on the screen, her feelings a tangled mess.

Evan Lin, still carrying Ryan Luo, finally walked up to the principal and the others. Facing the camera, he spoke calmly: "I heard someone wants to ask me how I feel right now."

Evan Lin's voice was steady and composed. He stepped up to the front, standing right in front of the principal and directors, his back to them—making their faces darken instantly.

But everyone's attention was completely drawn to Evan Lin's next words.

"So now, standing here, I can tell you all: my feelings haven't changed much. It still feels just like beating a dog."

Evan Lin spoke clearly, pausing between each word. The moment he finished, the crowd erupted.

"Legend!"

"Even if a grandma fell crossing the street, I wouldn't bow down—but I bow to you!"

"This new kid is so stubborn he'd smash his head into a brick wall!"

The whole school burst out in shocked exclamations.

Meanwhile, the teachers and principal were furious, clenching their fists. If Chief Gary Chen hadn't been sitting nearby, some teachers would've dragged Evan Lin off the stage then and there.
