General Evan Xiao, This...

Minister Zhuo remained silent.

"On this continent, there are ancient clans so powerful that they even surpass the great empires. Among them are godlike figures who can befriend true deities." Grace Wan said.

"My Wan Clan is one such family.

At its peak, my ancestors from the Wan Clan played chess with the Phoenix Goddess and drank wine with the Dragon Deity.

Though a great catastrophe befell us twenty years ago and the Wan Clan fell, now, under the protection of the divine, our clan rises again!

Soon, we will once again stand atop the human world."

As she spoke, Minister Zhuo’s face grew darker and darker.

Such a powerful clan was truly not one the Zhu Clan could afford to provoke.

"I am Grace Wan, daughter of the Wan Clan chief," Grace Wan declared. "I was lucky enough to survive that catastrophe and became the sole heir of the Wan Clan. Now, I intend to enter and cure my daughter's Spirit Root Transplant Rejection."

She turned to Minister Zhuo, smiled at him, and said, "My cultivation is nowhere near yours. You could kill me with a single blow! Go ahead, try it!"

As she spoke, she stepped right up to Minister Zhuo. "My uncle promised Master Sage Dao he wouldn't personally kill you, but if you so much as touch a hair on my head... that's a whole different story! If you mistake the Wan Clan's patience for fear of Master Sage Dao, then you're just being foolish!"

Minister Zhuo looked at her, his heart hated so much it bled.

If it were only his own business, he would have drawn his sword and chopped this woman into pieces!

But in the end, he had to think of the Zhu Clan.

His parents were still alive.

The Zhu Clan had over a thousand members.

Forget it!

Even so... it was a colossal humiliation, but he could only endure it.

"How long will you need?" Minister Zhuo asked.

Grace Wan looked at him and burst out laughing. "Minister Zhuo, are you scared now?"

Minister Zhuo lowered his eyes in pain, his fists clenched tightly.

"You gave in! All you can do is stand by and watch me fuse Chloe Zhu's Spirit Root with Wan'er—there's nothing else you can do! Hahaha!"

Under the furious glares of the Zhu Estate guards, she strutted inside as if no one else existed.

Kevin Zhuo followed with a smug smile, driving the carriage right in.

"Someone! Hurry and bring Chloe Zhu out!" Kevin Zhuo shouted arrogantly. "Let her see for herself how, in 'her' own home, we're going to fuse 'her' Spirit Root completely into my sister's body!"

No sooner had he finished shouting than Kevin Zhuo—and the entire carriage—were sent flying, landing outside the gate in a crumpled heap.

Grace Wan's smug smile froze on her face as she stared at the man who had just appeared.

It was Evan Xiao.

He walked toward her, each step radiating a chilling, intimidating aura.

"Evan Xiao?" Grace Wan pronounced each syllable slowly. "You dare!"

"You have ten seconds to get out of the Zhu Estate," Evan Xiao said coldly. "After today, you are never to set foot here again."

"Do you know who I am? How dare you speak to me like that?" Grace Wan shouted in fury.

He really didn't care about the ancient clans at all!

"Leave."

"You—ah!" Grace Wan tried to protest, but was struck by an invisible force and thrown out the gate, landing in a heap.

Bang! The gate slammed shut, the knocker rattling as if mocking her for overestimating herself.

"Evan Xiao! Minister Zhuo! You'll pay for this!" Grace Wan shrieked like a madwoman.

Minister Zhuo looked at Evan Xiao. "General, this..."
