Auspicious Rainbow Clouds Fill the Sky

Evan Xiao gave him a reassuring smile and said, "It'll be fine."

"But..."

"The Wan Clan isn't all that impressive, Father. Trust me," Evan said. "Besides, we've got Master Sage Dao on our side!"

Minister Zhuo took a deep breath and nodded.

"I'll head back now," Evan said. "I've got court later. Father, you haven't slept all night—get some rest!"

Minister Zhuo nodded again.

...

Wendy Zhu took quite a tumble in the carriage—her arm was badly broken.

Grace Wan quickly found a doctor for her and got her arm set.

"Mom," Kevin Zhuo looked at the unconscious Wendy Zhu, worry etched on his face. "What should we do? My sister is like this... Is Loyalty Manor really the only place that can treat her?"

Grace Wan said, "Of course there's more than one Dragon's Nexus! But why should we go looking elsewhere? I used to be a concubine, always at someone else's mercy! Now I’m back with my own clan, why would I fear a tiny Zhu Estate or Evan Xiao?"

"But Uncle has already gone back..." Zhu Jingkang said. "We're no match for them. What should we do?"

A cold glint flashed in Wan Xuezhen’s eyes. "If they won’t move out while alive, they can move out when they’re dead, right?"

"Dead? How are we supposed to make them dead?"

Wan Xuezhen smiled. "Jingkang, you still have a lot to learn..."

...

Inside Grace’s space, the hundred-plus pounds of Celestial Spirit Jade was down to less than half, and Beanie’s gourd had grown huge.

Plus, its color was turning yellow—looked like it was about to ripen.

Then, something weird happened that day.

Grace woke up feeling that something was off.

The light shining in from outside the window looked different than usual.

She pushed open the window and saw the sky filled with rainbow-colored auspicious clouds.

"Huh?" She rubbed her eyes and looked again—still the same.

How could there be clouds like this so early in the morning?

Grace got dressed and went out, wanting a closer look, only to find everyone from Serenity Pavilion gathered in the courtyard, all staring at the sky.

Pan’er: "Look, everyone! The clouds are gorgeous! Like dragons soaring and phoenixes dancing—so dazzling!"

Xi’er: "Is this what they call a heavenly omen? Maybe something wonderful is about to happen in our Vermilion Kingdom?"

Tenner: "I heard that only when a deity is born—no, only when the heir deity is born—will rainbow clouds appear in the sky."

Pan’er: "Who told you that?"

Tenner: "The storyteller."

Xi’er: "Pfft! Don’t you know anything? The place where the gods live isn’t the same as ours. The sky they see isn’t the same sky we see!"

Pan’er: "Yeah! If a deity is born, it would be in their sky, not ours!"

Tenner: "That actually makes sense..."

Nanny: "Well, it must mean something auspicious is about to happen in our Vermilion Kingdom, hehe..."

...

Grace listened to their chattering, glanced at the persistent rainbow clouds in the sky, shook her head, and went back inside.

If you don’t get it, don’t overthink it! Anyway, clouds in the sky are a mystery no matter how much you think about them...

After washing up, she was just about to eat breakfast when Cutie Pie came back.

Grace called it over to eat, but it shook its head, strangely uninterested in food, and went straight into her space.

Lately, whenever Cutie Pie had free time, it would run into her space and stare at the gourd.
