Kazuo Sasaki gently wrapped his arm around his precious daughter’s shoulders, wiping away the tears from her cheeks. Smiling, he said, "Rachel, as your father, I really haven’t given you many good days. Especially after your mother passed away, I barely had any time to take care of you!"
"Father—I’ve never blamed you!" Rachel Sasaki said passionately.
"Sigh—as members of the Koga Clan, we carry such heavy historical burdens! Honestly, most of us in the clan just want something simple—a real place to call home. But our enemies are too powerful. Even such a small wish is impossible, and we’re forced to survive like rats in the darkness and cracks. Who knows when this fate will finally change?" Kazuo Sasaki sighed.
"Uh—Uncle Kazuo, Rachel, don’t worry. I believe if we all work together, one day we’ll definitely have a peaceful life! Besides, I have some territory in Myanmar. If you don’t mind, you could come with me and develop there! No matter how tough the Iga or Yamaguchi Syndicate get, they won’t dare mess around on my turf!" Shawn Young said.
He thought about his own influence in the Maizayang area of Myanmar—more than enough to give the Koga Clan, who were like homeless strays, a safe haven. Shawn knew that if the Koga Clan joined his side, it would be a huge boost for him. With Kazuo Sasaki and Rachel’s support, he was confident they could become close allies.
Just as Shawn Young was scheming in his mind, a Koga Ninja suddenly sprinted down the corridor and reported urgently to Kazuo Sasaki: "Clan Leader, we just received intel—a Hong Kong SWAT team has entered Portland Street and is patrolling toward this building! We suspect they got a tip-off!"
"Uh—Alright! Kawaki, take everyone and clean up everything here. Don’t leave any traces! If Hong Kong SWAT finds evidence, it won’t end well for us!" Kazuo Sasaki immediately ordered.
"Yes, sir!" The Koga Ninja named Kawaki took the order and quickly organized the other dozens of Koga Ninjas into groups. They efficiently divided up the work—some rapidly gathered the bodies of Yamaguchi Syndicate thugs from the hallway into a room, while others rushed downstairs via the elevator.
Watching the Koga Ninjas move so quickly, Shawn Young curiously asked Kazuo Sasaki, "Uh—Uncle Kazuo, what’s going on?"
"Oh! The sentry just reported that a Hong Kong SWAT squad is heading this way. Looks like our operation made too much noise—maybe some other group on Portland Street or a Junkie Rat tipped off the cops!" Kazuo Sasaki explained, frowning.
"Huh? Even triad punks work with the police? And what’s a Junkie Rat?" Shawn Young asked, curious.
"Yeah, Hong Kong has a lot of gangs, and to grow their power, the smaller ones recruit just about anyone. A lot of these triad punks are students moonlighting in the underworld—they’re fickle, and have no real loyalty. Locally, we call these guys Junkie Rats! Most of them are hooked on drugs, so they roam the darkest corners looking for cash. If they spot anything valuable or suspicious, they’ll report it to the cops for a fee. There are tons of them, like rats everywhere. Both we and the Yamaguchi Syndicate have suffered because of them. Killing them doesn’t help—they’re worthless and there’s always more. Any drug-addicted kid could be a Junkie Rat!" Kazuo Sasaki explained helplessly.
"Wow—things really are complicated here. By the way, Uncle Kazuo, what exactly does Hong Kong SWAT do?" Shawn Young asked again.
Rachel Sasaki chimed in to explain, "Hong Kong SWAT is the nickname for the Police Tactical Unit. Their hats aren’t the usual police caps—they wear blue berets, so people call them the ‘Blue Hats.’ They’re trained like a paramilitary force, specializing in riot control and crime patrols. Now that they’ve gotten a tip, of course they’ll come check things out!"
Just then, the Koga Ninja named Kawaki stepped up to Kazuo Sasaki and reported, "Clan Leader, all the Yamaguchi Syndicate bodies downstairs and here have been gathered. The team downstairs says the Hong Kong SWAT squad is less than five meters away!"
"Whoa—the Hong Kong SWAT moves fast! If they find these bodies, we’re in big trouble—" Shawn Young exclaimed.
Kazuo Sasaki’s expression turned serious. He pulled out a strange ceramic bottle wrapped in leather and handed it to Kawaki, giving a quick order: "Alright! Time’s tight. Use the Body-Melt Solution to dissolve all the corpses!"
"Understood—" Kawaki took the small gray ceramic bottle from Kazuo Sasaki, entered the room piled with corpses, carefully twisted open the stopper, held his breath, and slowly poured the transparent liquid over the bodies of the Yamaguchi Syndicate thugs!
"Sss—sss—sss—" Thick white smoke billowed from the pile of corpses. In an instant, the bodies of the Yamaguchi Syndicate thugs began to melt like ice in boiling water! Blood mixed with flesh and even bone, all dissolving with a strange, soft sound—not loud, but so piercing it made your scalp tingle and your skin crawl!

As the bodies melted away, they quickly turned into pools of clear liquid— even the blood, which should have been red, was now just water!
Shawn Young stared at the gruesome scene, feeling deeply shocked. He never imagined there could be something so ruthless in this world, able to dissolve so many bodies in such a short time!
"What a terrifying thing—" Shawn Young muttered.
"Yeah—I never thought this Body-Melt Solution could be so powerful!" Rachel Sasaki said, her pretty face pale as she clung tightly to Shawn Young’s arm. After all, she was a woman, and seeing something so brutal naturally made her feel sick and scared.
"Mhm—definitely terrifying! This Body-Melt Solution actually dates back to ancient China, from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods all the way to the late Qing Dynasty. Assassins loved to use it as their ultimate secret poison. Any corpse or living person touched by it would melt into liquid almost instantly—even bones would dissolve, like a candle melting. And when it’s done, it just turns into water, so the authorities have no way to investigate. It’s the perfect tool for covering up a murder, and that’s why it’s so precious! The formula has been lost in China, but it’s recorded in the key chapters of the ninja manual ‘Mansen Shukai!’ The Iga Clan has always dreamed of getting the recipe but never managed it, and it’s one of the Koga Clan’s ultimate weapons against them!" Kazuo Sasaki explained.
"Whoa! Amazing—seriously amazing! This thing is way too scary. You’d have to be super careful using it!" Shawn Young said, feeling his scalp tingle. The corrosive power of the Body-Melt Solution was just too freaky!
"Mhm, unless it’s an absolute emergency, you should never use this stuff recklessly! If you mess up, you could end up melting yourself! There’s an antidote, but most people don’t get treated in time and that’s it!" Kazuo Sasaki nodded.
Just after dealing with the Yamaguchi Syndicate bodies, a report came from the sentry downstairs: the Hong Kong SWAT squad had reached the building entrance and was starting up the elevator to the rooftop.
