Upon receiving the news, Kazuo Sasaki immediately ordered Kevin: "Kevin, take our people and leave right now. The rest of us can handle things here!"
"Yes, sir!" Kevin nodded, waved to the surrounding Koga Clan ninjas, and the group swiftly retreated into the corridor. One by one, they leapt out of the open windows and vanished into the night.
"Um, Uncle Kazuo, what do we do now?" Shawn Young had wanted to chase after the fleeing Ryu Kuroda, but realizing he couldn't catch up, he decided to let it go for now.
"Let's wait until the PTU squad finishes their inspection! After all, we just killed a bunch of Yamaguchi Syndicate members, and the PTU guys all know this place is Yamaguchi territory. Usually, they don't check too hard, since it's pointless, but this time it's obvious they got a tip-off. I want to know who leaked the info," said Kazuo Sasaki.
"Oh—I see. If the PTU asks what we're doing here, what should we tell them?" Shawn Young asked, suddenly realizing the issue.
"This place is a Japanese gathering spot, and we have legitimate Japanese business identities. Don't worry about it," Rachel Sasaki replied.
"You guys have legit identities, but I... I only have a mainland tourist visa. Is that going to work?" Shawn Young suddenly remembered he only had his mainland ID and tourist visa on him.
"Uh—should be fine. Hong Kong's a law-abiding society. As long as your documents are legit, it should be okay," Kazuo Sasaki said after thinking it over.
Just then, the elevator doors opened and out walked four police officers in light blue PTU uniforms, revolvers at their waists, holding black riot batons. Their berets were tilted, faces alert. Most surprising of all, leading them was a tall, stunning short-haired female officer, around twenty-two years old, with a curvy figure, sharp features, and a frosty, commanding aura.
The beautiful PTU woman led three tall male officers straight up to the group, quickly spreading out around them. The male officers, upon seeing Rachel Sasaki in her kimono—radiant and alluring—couldn't help but have their eyes light up, their tense faces relaxing considerably.
Then the beautiful PTU officer stepped forward, first glancing at the young, charming Rachel Sasaki, then flashed her badge at Kazuo Sasaki: "I'm a Hong Kong police officer, PTU squad leader, Sergeant Mandy Chung, badge number A5. I'm responsible for law enforcement in the Portland Street division of Mong Kok. We received a tip-off about an illegal gathering and suspected terrorist activity here, so we're here to check it out. Until things are clear, I need you gentlemen and this lady to show your IDs!"
Kazuo Sasaki and Rachel Sasaki took out their IDs and handed them over. Sergeant Mandy Chung examined them carefully, nodding as she said, "Oh—so you two run a Japanese tattoo shop as father and daughter! But this isn't your shop. What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
"Officer, this is a Japanese gathering spot. I have lots of friends here. After our tattoo shop closed for the night, I had nothing to do, so I brought my daughter over for some sake. Turns out all our friends had already left! We were just about to head back when you showed up," Kazuo Sasaki explained smoothly.
"Oh, is that so!? And what about your ID, sir?" Sergeant Mandy Chung turned to Shawn Young. She couldn't find fault with Kazuo Sasaki's explanation, and both their documents were legal. This was indeed a Japanese gathering place, and although everyone knew it had ties to the Yamaguchi Syndicate, Mandy also knew she couldn't do much about these Japanese nationals.
"Uh—hold on—" Shawn Young said, rummaging through his clothes before finally pulling out his ID and handing it to Mandy Chung.
Sergeant Mandy Chung took it and examined it closely, her brows furrowing. Then she looked up and stared coldly at Shawn Young before asking in a chilly voice, "This is a temporary tourist visa, valid for only three months. You're a mainland university student?"
"Yeah, that's right. I'm a student at South University in the mainland, just here for summer break to have some fun in Hong Kong," Shawn Young replied calmly.
"Is that so! Well, we welcome visitors to Hong Kong. But do you know what kind of place this is?" Sergeant Mandy Chung asked.
"Uh—this is Portland Street! I've heard its nightlife is the best in Asia, full of beautiful women, so I came here to check out the clubs!" Shawn Young replied with a grin, playing dumb.
"Hmph—Portland Street is lively and fun, sure, but sir, where you're standing right now isn't an entertainment venue, nor is it any fun at all. This building is private property, owned by Japanese nationals. So how does a mainland university student like you know these Japanese folks so well?" Sergeant Mandy Chung clearly didn't believe Shawn's story.
"Uh—yeah, I know this is Japanese private property. The gentleman here is my... father-in-law, and this is my fiancée. I'm just here to meet their friends, is there a problem?" Shawn Young pointed to Kazuo Sasaki and Rachel Sasaki as he spoke.
"Oh? You're the son-in-law of Japanese nationals?" Sergeant Mandy Chung asked coldly, raising her well-shaped brows as she questioned Shawn Young.
"Uh—what's the problem with that? It's not against the law!" Shawn Young was a bit annoyed by her strange look and tone.
"No problem! It's really no problem—I was just curious, and this is just routine procedure!" Sergeant Mandy Chung replied, then pointed to the office at the end of the corridor and instructed the three male officers, "Da Fan, Xiao Chen, Lao Zhang, go check out what's going on over there!"
"Yes, ma'am!" The three male officers immediately followed orders and headed over.
