When they reached the gates of the Royal Capital, the city guards instantly recognized Evan Chu, but failed to recognize the Second Prince of the Heavenly Dragon Empire. Evan found this pretty amusing.
"Great General, you’re finally back! All our soldiers have missed you so much. Where have you been these past two years?" One of the guards walked up to Evan Chu and asked.
"I went somewhere really far away. Brothers, you’ve worked hard! For the safety of the Heavenly Dragon Empire, everyone needs to stay sharp and keep an eye out for enemy spies sneaking in." Evan Chu said. He honestly didn’t know what else to say to these guards.
After entering the Royal Capital, Evan Chu and the other three strolled slowly down the street. Claire Ouyang laughed, "So you really are the Great General of the Heavenly Dragon Empire, Linfeng? I thought you were just bragging. You must have some skills—two years ago you hadn’t even broken through to the Divine Martial Realm, right?"
"If I wasn’t the Great General, would you refuse to marry me? Today I’m taking you to meet your father-in-law, but meeting my mother’s impossible. Honestly, I’ve never even met her myself. The real reason I work so hard is actually for my mother." Evan Chu said.
"Linfeng, I won’t go with you guys for now. I have to head to the Imperial Palace first and tell my father about me and Luna Chu. You all wait for me at the General’s Manor—I won’t let Luna down." Skylar Yule said.
"Go ahead then, but make sure you bring plenty of gifts! You know I’ve got a lot of wives to support, so I need the money to take care of them!" Evan Chu laughed.
"Your Frostbane Sect is richer than my entire imperial treasury, and you still have the nerve to say that?" Skylar Yule replied.
With that, Skylar Yule flew off toward the Imperial Palace, while Evan Chu and the other two continued strolling. "Luna, you’re going to be Empress someday—how are you going to thank your matchmaker?"
"Thank you? Dead man! What did you even do for us? You even tried to push Skylar toward some other woman. I didn’t kill you, and you still want thanks? Dream on!" Luna Chu snapped.
Evan Chu couldn’t help the black lines crawling up his forehead. This little brat was way too domineering. If he hadn’t introduced Skylar Yule to her, how would they have ever gotten together? He really was the matchmaker here! Women really are fickle.
Soon they arrived at Evan Chu’s residence, the Great General’s Manor. The two guards at the gate clearly didn’t recognize Evan and blocked his way. One of them asked, "Who are you looking for? Don’t you know this is the General’s Manor? No unauthorized people allowed inside."
Evan Chu didn’t get angry. Instead, he smiled and said, "I’m here to see the owner of the General’s Manor. Please go and announce me—just say Evan Chu is requesting an audience!"
"Evan Chu? Never heard of him!" one of the guards replied. But as soon as he finished, he seemed to realize something, and his whole demeanor turned nervous. He asked, "Y-you said your name is Evan Chu? Are you the Great General?" He clearly didn’t quite believe it.
"Smart of you to figure it out. Now hurry up and let your general through! Since you didn’t know, I’ll let you off this time!" Evan Chu said.
"Great General, please forgive us! Great General, please forgive us!" The two guards immediately dropped to their knees, begging Evan Chu for mercy.
"Get up, both of you! Linfeng isn’t even mad at you, so why are you still kneeling? Do you really want to get punished?" Luna Chu chimed in.
After that, Evan Chu walked inside. At that moment, Jenny Sima and Victor Chu were playing chess in a pavilion, with several familiar faces nearby—Gabe Goldstone and Zack Zhao, among others.
The appearance of Evan Chu and his two companions immediately caught the attention of those who knew him in the manor. One family member, upon seeing Evan Chu, rushed straight toward Victor Chu.
"Master, the— the Great General is back! And Miss Luna is here too!" The speaker was clearly extremely excited.
Everyone was startled by those words. Jenny Sima immediately dashed outside, and from afar she spotted the man she’d been longing for day and night—Evan Chu. She ran straight to him.
Evan Chu saw her too and pulled her into his arms. Jenny Sima couldn’t stop crying, and for a moment, she was at a loss for words.
Then Evan Chu gently pushed Jenny Sima away, wiped the tears from her cheeks, and said, "Why are you crying as soon as you see me? Did someone bully you?"
Jenny Sima broke into a smile through her tears. "I’m just happy you’re back! I’ve been waiting and hoping for you every day. Linfeng, you won’t leave me again this time, right?"
As she finished, she noticed the stunning woman beside Evan Chu and asked, "Who’s this? Is she someone you picked up outside?"
There was a hint of jealousy in her tone, but Evan Chu knew Jenny Sima wasn’t the petty type. He explained, "Her name is Claire Ouyang, princess of the Mermaid Kingdom. Of course she’s my woman. You’ve gained a good sister—aren’t you happy?"
"I never said I wasn’t happy!" Jenny Sima replied, then turned to Claire Ouyang. "Hello, I’m Jenny Sima. You can just call me Jenny. I wonder which of us is older."
"You’re older. Claire, from now on call her Sister Jenny!" Evan Chu said to Claire Ouyang.
"Sister Jenny, nice to meet you! You’re so beautiful! Linfeng really isn’t ordinary—every woman he finds is a stunning beauty." Claire Ouyang said.
At that moment, Victor Chu walked over. Evan Chu immediately stepped forward and greeted him respectfully, "Father! It’s been two years—how’s your health?"
"Feng’er, you’ve truly grown up. Now I can rest easy. My health’s fine, don’t worry! You’re not leaving again this time, right?" Victor Chu asked.
"I still have to leave, but once everything’s settled, I’ll take you all with me. This time I came back mainly for Luna and my big brother’s marriage. Of course, I have important things to handle too. Let’s go inside and talk." Evan Chu said.
Victor Chu glanced at Claire Ouyang and asked, "Who’s this?" Evan Chu immediately realized, "How did I forget to introduce her? She’s your daughter-in-law, Claire Ouyang, princess of the Mermaid Kingdom. Just call her Claire!"

"Claire greets Father!" Claire Ouyang said sweetly.
"Excellent! Excellent! Feng’er, you’ve got a sharp eye—such an outstanding woman as your wife, that’s impressive! Come, let’s go inside and you can tell me what happened these past two years. Let me broaden my horizons!" Victor Chu said.
Evan Chu then briefly recounted the events in the Azure Tide Ruins over the past two years. When he mentioned that Frostbane Sect was now the number-one sect in the Azure Tide Ruins, everyone was shocked.
Victor Chu was even more excited, silently thinking, "Ling’er, our child has finally grown up—he’s become a true overlord. If you knew, would you be proud and comforted...?"
Zack Zhao, Gavin Wei, and the others looked up to Evan Chu with even more admiration. They never imagined their Boss would become this powerful. It really makes you jealous comparing yourself to him.
"Zack Zhao, you guys haven’t improved much in strength—none of you have broken through to the Divine Martial Realm yet. What’s going on? Is it because you don’t have enough Starstones?" Evan Chu asked.
"Boss, I really do train every day—but without Starstones to absorb, my realm can’t improve! I know you must have Starstones. How about donating some for your brothers to use?" Gus Bullard said.
Evan Chu glanced at Gus and laughed, "Old Gus, after two years you’ve gotten a lot more talkative! Since you asked, how could I, as your boss, not give you something? Alright, each of you gets one hundred thousand Starstones—that should be enough for you to break through to the Divine Martial Realm."
I’ve also got a few martial arts manuals for you. I’ll show them to you later—these are priceless techniques. If you master even one, you’ll become a top expert in the Heavenly Dragon Empire."
"Boss, what did you say? One hundred thousand Starstones? You’re not joking, are you?" Gus Bullard asked, clearly in disbelief. That was no small amount.
"Your cultivation is too low—otherwise, I’d give you a million each! If there’s one thing I’m not short on, it’s Starstones. Just don’t go spreading this around. In the manor, women get one hundred Starstones each, men get one thousand. Call all the brothers over so I can hand them out together." Evan Chu said.
"Boss, some of the brothers have joined the Royal Capital Guard and don’t come back much. The standards aren’t as strict now—do you want to go see them?" Gavin Wei asked.
"Gavin, do you still have that talent? If you get the chance, you should try refining pills. As for herbs and materials, I can supply you with as much as you need." Evan Chu said. Back when Gavin revealed his secret, Evan could hardly believe it.
"Boss, of course I still have it! I’ve been wanting to try, but never had the chance or enough resources. Now that you’re back, everything will be sorted out." Gavin Wei said with a smile.
Evan Chu then took out a storage belt from his ring, filled with over ten million Starstones, and tossed it onto the table. "Split these up according to my plan. Any leftovers go to Gavin for buying materials and refining pills."
Soon after, Evan Chu and Victor Chu went to the study. Evan asked, "Father, didn’t you say that the man who took my mother away said my bloodline would fully awaken at age twenty? Why hasn’t anything happened yet? Was he lying to you?"
Victor Chu looked at Evan Chu and said, "I’m not sure either. Maybe the time just hasn’t come yet. Don’t rush things—keep a calm heart. You haven’t spent much time with Jenny lately; go talk to her."
Evan Chu understood what Victor meant and smiled. "Once I finish up here, I’ll hold a wedding with Jenny Sima and give her official status, so no one can gossip about her."
"You should’ve done that long ago. I’ll help you arrange it, so don’t worry!" Victor Chu said.
"Father, I’ll head out first. If you’re making arrangements, start with Luna’s—my big brother should be coming to propose to her in a few days." Evan Chu said, then left the room.
Victor Chu had the servants prepare a banquet to welcome Evan Chu and the others home. During the feast, everyone toasted Evan, drinking and celebrating. The mood was lively, and many got drunk—everyone was truly happy he was back.
That night, Evan Chu let Claire Ouyang sleep in his own room, while he went to Jenny Sima’s. After so long apart, their reunion was sweeter than a honeymoon.
