Rhea Yang’s Marriage Tournament

1/19/2026

"Mhm! I've been waiting for this day for so long. I just wonder if it'll really work out. Evan, you're heading back to Sister Jingyi, right?" Claire Ouyang said, her cheeks flushed like peach blossoms.

"Of course I have to go over there. My clothes are still at her place, and I have a bunch of things to ask her. Claire, you should get some rest too!" Evan Chu finished speaking and instantly dove into the earth, vanishing before Claire Ouyang's eyes.

"Ugh, what a rascal! You're way too rough—left me aching all over. But if I really end up carrying our child, I guess a little pain is worth it." Claire muttered to herself.

After Evan Chu arrived at Jenny Sima's room, he found her lying awake on the bed, lost in thought. His sudden appearance startled her.

"Evan, where did you go? How did you just pop up out of nowhere? I didn't even hear the door open!" Jenny Sima asked in surprise.

"Heh, your man can do anything! So, how do you feel now? Did your realm break through?" Evan Chu asked.

Jenny Sima lay in Evan Chu's arms and said, "I think I've reached the ninth layer of the Earth Martial Realm now. Thank you, Evan. If it weren't for you, I don't know when I would've broken through. You're seriously amazing."

Evan Chu breathed in the fragrance of Jenny Sima's hair and said, "Jenny, I know these past two years have been tough on you. Once I settle everything, I'll treat you right—I won't let you suffer again."

Jenny Sima gently nodded, then said, "Evan, why haven't you asked me about Lily Tang and Rhea Yang? They both left the Royal Capital a few months ago for something important. Do you know what's going on?"

"Honestly, I came back mainly because of those two. I promised them I'd take responsibility once they became my women. Rhea Yang went home for her Marriage Tournament—it's her family's rule, she can't refuse. If I count the days, it should be starting any time now. As for Lily Tang, I’m not sure, but it seems to be marriage-related too. You won’t blame me for going after them, will you?" Evan Chu asked.

"We've been sisters for ages—why would I blame you? Besides, with your special body, having a few more sisters is just a bonus for me. So, when are you planning to head out?" Jenny Sima asked.

"I want to leave tomorrow, but I still don't know where those two live. I’ll have to look it up." Evan Chu said. He knew Tang Sect and Yang Gate were big clans, but he still needed to ask around—he wasn’t familiar with the Heavenly Dragon Empire at all.

"Didn’t you say Skylar Yule would be coming in a few days to propose to Luna Chu? Are you really going to skip their wedding?" Jenny Sima asked. Without Evan, their wedding would definitely be missing some excitement.

"I probably won’t make it in time. I haven’t visited General Roland Lowell yet, or the Emperor either. I’ll have to wait until I get back for all that. Jingyi, do you know Lily Tang’s address?" Evan Chu asked.

"Of course I know! Even if you didn’t ask, I’d still tell you!" Jenny Sima said, then got up and pulled out a map marked with their locations from her storage belt.

Seeing his beloved woman still using a storage belt, Evan Chu felt a pang and immediately took out a storage ring. "Use this instead. It’s loaded with Starstones and pills—way more useful for you. That belt isn’t fitting for your status anymore."

Jenny Sima took the storage ring and smiled, "Then I won’t be polite about it. It’s getting late—let’s sleep early. I haven’t slept in your arms in so long…"

The night passed quietly. At dawn the next day, Evan Chu got up, while Jenny Sima—maybe worn out from last night’s passion—was still fast asleep. Evan left the room quietly without waking her.

At that moment, plenty of people were practicing on the Martial Testing Ground at the Great General’s Manor. Victor Chu was there too. Evan Chu walked over and said, "Dad, here’s a storage ring with a Star Crystal inside—my dowry for Luna Chu. Maybe you don’t know how much a Star Crystal is worth, but one is equal to a hundred million low-grade Starstones. When Skylar comes to propose, just give it to him."

"Feng’er, why don’t you give it to him yourself? Are you leaving again?" Victor Chu asked right away, instantly understanding what Evan meant.

"I've got something really important to do—and honestly, it's about your future daughters-in-law. You know Rhea Yang and Lily Tang, right? I have to go check on them, or they could end up marrying someone else and it'll be too late." Evan Chu said.

Victor Chu thought for a moment and asked, "So when are you heading out? Do you want Gus Bullard and the others to go with you?"

"I’ll be fine on my own. Too many people just make things complicated. I’ll head out soon. If anyone asks, just say I went to an extremely cold place to find something—I’ll be back in a while." Evan Chu said.

"Be careful. Tang Sect and Yang Gate are famous for their poisons and firearms—don’t underestimate them." Victor Chu warned.

Evan Chu nodded and left. In a deserted spot, he flashed out of the manor and disappeared. Flying through the air, he opened the map and carefully checked the locations of Tang Sect and Yang Gate. He decided to go to Yang Gate first, since Rhea Yang’s situation was more urgent than Lily Tang’s.

Right now, Yang Gate was decked out in full celebration mode. Outside the estate, a massive arena had been set up, with a huge banner overhead reading "Marriage Tournament."

The place was packed—crowds everywhere. Plenty of young experts had traveled thousands of li to compete in the Marriage Tournament. Rhea Yang’s beauty was famous, and with Yang Gate’s influence, marrying into the clan was something to brag about.

On the arena, contestants were already sparring. The rules were simple: as long as you were under twenty-five, good-looking, and at least at the Earth Martial Realm, you could participate.

Even guys who were already married with kids could join. If they won and became Yang Gate’s son-in-law, their children would be brought into the clan, and their wives would just get a divorce letter. That’s why there were so many participants this time.

Meanwhile, Rhea Yang was pacing anxiously backstage like an ant on a hot wok. "Dead Evan, stinking Evan—didn’t you promise you’d come to my Marriage Tournament? Why aren’t you here yet?"

"Miss, maybe Young Master Chu is on his way. You know, the Marriage Tournament was moved up by two days, so it’s understandable he’s not here yet. Don’t worry—I’m sure he’ll come," said a pretty maid.

"If he doesn’t show up, I won’t forgive him. Whoever dares marry me—I’ll kill them! This is driving me crazy…" Rhea Yang grumbled. Meanwhile, Evan Chu had no idea the tournament had been moved up; he was rushing toward Yang Gate at top speed using teleportation… (To be continued tonight)
