The Ferocity of Goldwing

1/19/2026

A shrill bird cry suddenly pierced the air, and a massive golden bird was seen rapidly flying toward the battlefield from afar.

Its speed was so fast that it arrived in an instant. Heavenly Dragon Academy’s students erupted with excitement, unleashing all their remaining strength at once. For a moment, they fought like wild beasts, slaughtering Sea Dragon Academy’s students and filling the air with their agonized howls.

Everyone from Heavenly Dragon Academy knew Goldwing had returned—their savior was back! Each person was wildly excited, leaving the Sea Dragon Academy students utterly confused.

None of them understood why the arrival of that bird would make these people so ecstatic. Many Sea Dragon students fought while backing away, and within a minute, the two sides had pulled apart.

Heavenly Dragon Academy’s students didn’t chase after them. Driven by sheer willpower and their faith in Evan Chu, they waited for Goldwing—the one who could turn the tide.

Now everyone could clearly see that there was actually a person riding on the back of the golden bird—a very young woman. The bird landed quickly, heading straight for Evan Chu.

The young woman on the bird’s back jumped down, and her first action was to throw herself straight into Evan Chu’s arms, leaving all the Sea Dragon Academy students bewildered.

But this golden bird was simply enormous—standing on the ground, it looked like a small mountain. Many people felt a sudden sense of dread: was this bird the young woman’s beast companion? If so, they were doomed.

At that moment, Evan Chu held Roxanne Lin tightly in his arms, one hand around her waist and the other gently stroking her hair. They looked genuinely affectionate, making Rhea Yang and Lily Tang feel a pang of jealousy.

“Roxanne, these days without you by my side have been so hard for you. I’m sorry—I didn’t find you sooner! From now on, I’ll never let you leave me again,” Evan Chu said gently.

The three Sea Dragon Academy Honors Class students who were about to attack Evan Chu saw Goldwing suddenly appear and instantly retreated. None of them had ever seen such a massive flying beast before, and all feared it would attack them next.

Roxanne Lin’s eyes filled with tears as she choked out, "It wasn’t that hard. Whenever I faced difficulties, I thought of you. Whenever I was so hungry I couldn’t walk, I still thought of you. Whenever I was in danger, I kept thinking of you too.

I kept hoping you’d appear by my side in time, but you never did. That feeling—it was really painful."

If it hadn’t been for Goldwing, I might have already been ruined by those Sea Dragon Academy students. I…"

Roxanne couldn’t continue, but Evan Chu understood. The suffering and humiliation she’d endured were beyond his imagination, and the thought of what almost happened filled him with guilt.

"It’s all right, Roxanne. You’re safe now! Don’t worry—I’ll make sure you get justice!" Evan Chu said, letting go of Roxanne and stepping up to face Goldwing.

"Old Gold, thank you for bringing Roxanne back. I’m furious right now—help me wipe out every last Sea Dragon Academy student here. Leave none alive!" Evan roared, his voice brimming with rage.

"Got it, Boss! I won’t let you down!" Goldwing’s voice boomed so loudly that everyone could hear it clearly. The giant bird could actually speak—and called that young man ‘Boss.’

Heavenly Dragon Academy’s students didn’t react at all—they all knew Goldwing could talk, and not just talk, but even transform into a human. Sea Dragon Academy’s students, on the other hand, were terrified, their faces twisted in fear.

One student reacted fastest, shouting desperately, "Everybody run!"

Immediately, all the Sea Dragon Academy students snapped out of it, including the four remaining Honors Class elites.

But running was useless in front of Goldwing. His enormous form swooped through the air, and every flap of his wings sent students flying. Those caught were immediately shredded by his massive talons—the scene was utterly brutal.

Within just a few breaths, several people had been killed. Severed limbs and mangled bodies rained down from the sky, turning the battlefield into a living hell.

Goldwing was like a killing machine—wherever he flew, death followed. In the blink of an eye, several more students were torn to pieces.

Every Heavenly Dragon Academy student stared at Goldwing’s ruthless performance, their faces full of shock. Some of the more timid ones even squeezed their eyes shut.

Everyone secretly thanked their luck that Goldwing was on their side. If he’d been with Sea Dragon Academy, they wouldn’t even know how they died. Just thinking about it gave them chills.

Lily Tang and Rhea Yang tried to ignore the bloody spectacle. Women were supposed to be more timid, and even Lily—normally a 'Tyrannosaurus Mom'—couldn’t stand it.

Evan Chu was deeply moved—he’d never imagined that an eighth-rank flying beast could unleash such terrifying carnage. If there were a thousand people here, Goldwing could probably slaughter them all.

Suddenly, Goldwing let out a piercing cry. His body flashed with golden light, and countless glowing feathers shot out, raining down on the fleeing Sea Dragon Academy students.

"Holy crap! He’s got a move like that? That’s insane!" Evan couldn’t help but exclaim.

The power of an eighth-rank beast’s attack was truly enormous. Evan felt that every feather Goldwing shot was as strong as a full-force Heart Sword strike—maybe even stronger.

As soon as the golden feathers rained down, most of the fleeing students were struck and fell—most of them died instantly, with only a handful managing to dodge.

But their luck didn’t last. Goldwing attacked again, this time with fewer feathers, but just enough to finish off every last survivor.

From start to finish, Goldwing took less than five minutes to slaughter all the Sea Dragon Academy students. His sheer power was jaw-dropping.

The air was thick with the stench of blood, making everyone uncomfortable.

Roxanne Lin stared at her lover in shock and asked, "Lin Feng, how did you meet this giant bird? Why does he call you Boss? With his strength, even ten of you couldn’t beat him!"

Evan Chu understood Roxanne’s curiosity. With a thought, he summoned Shadow, the Bloodshadow Berserker Lion cub, to appear in front of her.

"What a cute puppy! Lin Feng, how did you get him? Let me hold him!" Roxanne said excitedly.

Shadow saw Roxanne for the first time and felt a strange sense of familiarity. He quietly asked Evan Chu through their spiritual link, "Big Bro, who is this woman? She’s pretty—and her aura feels oddly familiar."

Evan glanced at Shadow and smiled. "Shadow, this is Roxanne Lin—my fiancée, your future sister-in-law. Don’t bully her, okay?"

Evan knew exactly what Shadow meant by that familiar feeling—it was the Vermilion Bird Mark on Roxanne that triggered it.

Hearing Evan’s words, Shadow obediently approached Roxanne and started licking her shoes. At that moment, Goldwing flew back, transformed into a burly middle-aged man, and walked up to Evan Chu...
