Purpleleaf Ganoderma

At this moment, Goldwing transformed into the form of a burly middle-aged man, walked up to Evan Chu, and said, "Boss, I've already killed all those people. I didn't let you down, did I?"

"Not at all, not at all! I never imagined Old Gold could be this powerful—today you really opened my eyes! If it weren’t for you, we might’ve all ended up dead or worse!" Evan laughed.

Roxanne Lin picked up Shadow, the Bloodshadow Berserker Lion cub, and upon seeing Goldwing in his middle-aged man form, said, "Senior, you—you’re the golden bird who carried me back!"

Clearly, it was Roxanne’s first time seeing a monster beast transform into human form, and although Goldwing had already scared her half to death by speaking human words earlier, she wasn’t as shocked this time thanks to that prior surprise.

"Yes, I’m Goldwing. Boss really sees through everything—he knew you were in danger and specifically sent me to rescue you. Thankfully, I didn’t fail him and got you back safely."

Just as Goldwing finished speaking, he suddenly noticed Shadow in Roxanne’s arms and immediately said, "Big Brother Shadow is here too!"—his tone extremely respectful.

Shadow nodded in response, which didn’t mean much to Evan, but for Roxanne it was a shock: the little puppy in her arms was actually being called ‘big brother’ by the same Goldwing who’d just been a ruthless, unstoppable killer. She was stunned.

She couldn’t help but glance at Shadow, then at the middle-aged man, and finally fixed her gaze on Evan, hoping he’d give her a satisfactory explanation.

Evan chuckled, "Heh, Roxanne, don’t be so surprised. Shadow isn’t an ordinary monster—he’s an ancient Spirit Beast. Because of his special constitution, he has the bloodline of a sacred beast. Someday, when he grows up, he’ll be a true sacred beast."

Roxanne was about to ask more, but just then Rhea Yang and Gus Bullard walked over.

"Evan, Sterling Yates is seriously injured—you should go check on him," Rhea Yang said directly, glancing at Roxanne Lin.

As soon as Evan heard this, he exclaimed, "How could I forget about that? I’m such an idiot!" With that, he ran straight toward Sterling Yates.

Gus Bullard and Goldwing immediately followed after him, leaving Rhea Yang and Roxanne Lin standing together, both sizing each other up.

Rhea and Roxanne had known each other for a while, but now that Rhea appeared in her true form, Roxanne found her a bit unfamiliar.

Similarly, when Evan revealed his true identity to Ryan Ouyang, he also reverted to his real self—otherwise Roxanne wouldn’t have pounced on him the moment they met.

Rhea broke the silence first, "Roxanne, long time no see. You must’ve had a rough few days, huh?"

"Who are you?" Roxanne was puzzled. This woman in front of her was just as beautiful as herself, but who was she—and how did she know Roxanne’s name? From her tone, Roxanne could tell they’d met before, maybe even knew each other.

Rhea smiled, "Heh, I’m Rhea Yang. Don’t you recognize me? I was disguised before, but this is my real face." Rhea made sure to show respect to Evan’s fiancée, since her own relationship with him wasn’t official yet.

"Rhea Yang? You’re Rhea Yang?" Roxanne suddenly remembered—back during the academy tests, Lily Tang had introduced her to Evan, Gus Bullard, and Rhea.

"Didn’t expect you to be so pretty! Evan hasn’t bullied you, has he?" Roxanne blurted out. A woman’s intuition could easily tell her relationship with Evan was anything but simple.

Roxanne’s words made Rhea blush instantly, her face burning. She didn’t know how to respond.

Seeing Rhea’s reaction, Roxanne laughed. "Don’t be shy—Evan’s constitution is special. I don’t mind if he has a few women, as long as you treat him well. Don’t worry about it."

Roxanne’s words instantly dissolved Rhea’s worries. She smiled, "Thank you, Sister Roxanne! I’ll treat Evan well!" openly admitting her relationship with him.

"Let’s go see how the student Gus mentioned is doing," Roxanne said, reaching out to take Rhea’s hand. The gesture was so intimate they looked just like close friends.

By now, Evan had reached Sterling Yates. Seeing him covered in blood, with several bone-deep wounds, Evan was shocked—even though trauma medicine had been applied, blood kept seeping out.

"Sterling, how are you feeling now?" Evan asked anxiously.

"Boss, I’ve embarrassed you, but I shouldn’t die! My... my life’s tough!" Sterling said, then couldn’t help but cough up a mouthful of blood.

"Enough, save your strength. Let me see if I have any medicine to treat your wounds." Evan said, then immediately started pulling out a bunch of pill bottles from his storage ring.

These bottles were all given to him by Dean Xavier, but Evan had barely used any—except for the starvation-relief pills.

Everyone around stared at Evan in shock as he produced so many pill bottles at once. Their boss really was something else—he always managed to surprise them.

After carefully checking the labels on the pill bottles, Evan selected a fourth-grade healing pill—the Returning Spirit Pill. It was especially effective for healing wounds.

He poured out a few and handed them to Sterling, saying, "Take one and see how it works!"

Goldwing’s eyes flashed as he looked at Sterling, then he produced a small purple herb with three leaves. "This Purpleleaf Ganoderma should help with your injuries too. Take it together with the pill."

Evan saw the Purpleleaf Ganoderma in Goldwing’s hand glowing faintly and releasing a rich fragrance. One look made it clear this was a real treasure.

"Evan, who’d have thought this dead bird was carrying such a rare spiritual medicine! Pretty impressive!" Luna, the Sword Spirit, commented.

"What grade is this herb?" Evan was curious and asked quickly.

"It’s the same rank as Soul Snow Grass. This guy probably has more rare herbs on him—if you get the chance, you should try to get some. They’ll be a huge help to you down the line!" Luna continued.

Evan’s head throbbed at Luna’s words, a black line creeping up his forehead.

"Let’s talk about that later!" Evan said helplessly—she was always coming up with schemes.

Sterling carefully accepted the Purpleleaf Ganoderma from Goldwing, excitedly saying, "Thank you... thank you, Senior!"

"No need to thank me. Since you’re Boss’s brother, you’re my brother too. I’m older, so just call me ‘Old Brother’—‘Senior’ sounds weird," Goldwing laughed.

Everyone was surprised to find that Goldwing, the blood-soaked killing machine, was actually so approachable. Just then, Rhea and Roxanne walked over hand in hand...
